The Great War
My name is Fluttershy, I'm a filly, and I've been through hell, but to tell you how it all started I've got to give you the background.
It all started about three years ago now, I was living in my cottage just outside The Evergreen Forest;
it was beautiful it surrounded me with this beautiful warmth.
I had 5 very close friends; Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. They were beautiful, the most amazing friends you could ask for, anything you needed they would do.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was gleaming all over Equstria, the flowers were just starting to blossom, the birds were cheeping happily and Ponyville was alive and well.
I was doing my daily tasks, for a Thursday it seemed amazingly quiet, Angel was being a nuisance like usual and the rest the animals were being abnormally quite.
“Angel, c'mon you've gotta' have carrots.” I said quietly not trying to make Angel mad
Angel just tossed the carrot away.
“C'mon Angel, don't be a grumpy-puss. “
Angel just walked away.
I looked in the refrigerator for another carrot to give to Angel; unfortunately there wasn't any left in the bucket.
“Oh great, now I've gotta' go to the markets to pick up some carrots.” I said calmly
I set off on my journey to the centre of Ponyville.
On the way there, I seemed to run into Twilight.
“Ohaiya, Fluttershy!” Twilight said
“Oh, hi Twilight. “I said rashly
“What’s up Fluttershy?” Twilight asked nicely
“Angel, he won’t eat anything I give him he’s being a pain!” I said
“Did you want me to come over and look at him?” she asked
“Oh, no, I couldn’t ask that of you.” I said nervously
“No problem.” Twilight said with a smile.
Twilight was just an amazing pony; she was kind, sweet, caring and always willing to help a pony in need.
“I’ll be around later, okay?” Twilight asked
“Oh, okay.” I said with a fake smile.
I then headed off to get the carrots.
My walk back home was pretty average, not much happened.
“Angel, I’m home.” I said as I walked through the door.
I walked into the kitchen.
Angel just stared at me; he had a cold dead look in his eye, like the sun had been taken from Equstria.
“Angel, are you okay!?” I yelled
Angel just pointed at the window. I trotted over to the window, what I saw made my stomach drop; hundreds and thousands of dragons heading towards Ponyville. I dropped the carrots and closed the curtains ran into the kitchen where Angel was picked him up and went straight up stairs.
“Oh Angel, we’re in trouble.” I said tears now streaming from my eyes.
A ball of magic appeared in front of my eyes; it was Twilight.
“Fluttershy!” Twilight screamed “C’mon!”
“I’m scared!” I yelled, tears still coming from my eyes.
“Quick, we don’t have much time!” Twilight yelled.
She was right, the rumble sounded like a thousand strikes of lightning.
“Okay, I’m coming!” I yelled
I ran into the ball of magic, I blacked out.
THREE HOURS LATER
I woke up in a bed somewhere, I sat up then opened my eyes, the room was a blur, I couldn’t see much at all for the first five minutes, I eventually got up the courage to scream;
“Twilight, Where are you!?”
A figure appeared from the distance it was blurry.
“Fluttershy, you’re alive!” the figure said as in came in for a hug.
As the figure got closer I realized who it was; Rainbow Dash. I was glad Rainbow Dash was alive but I was still itching to ask lots of questions.
“Rainbow, where’s Twilight?” I asked
“Oh, nice to see you too.” She said sarcastically “She’s in a meeting with the princess.”
I sighed in relief.
“Where am I?” I asked still confused
“Oh, you’re in Canterlot, Twilight teleported you, you almost died.” Rainbow Dash said
“Oh, what about the dragons?” I asked
“What about them?” Dash said with a look of hate
“Why did they come to Equstria?” I asked
“To take over, they’ve done a good job so far Ponyville is like, uh, what’s the word?” She said
“Gone?” I asked
“Yeah, that.” She said with sadness in her eyes.
“What about Cloudsdale?” I asked worried for my family.
“Gone, it’s gone, everything is gone!” Dash screamed.
My heart dropped for the second time.
“What about all the ponies?” I asked tears now slowly coming from my eyes.
“Dead.” She said now tears coming from her eyes.
“All of them?” I asked my heart beating fast
“Not all of them, just a lot of them.” She said tears still coming from her eyes
“Who?” I asked worried for all my other friends.
“Rarity, Applejack, Spike, Pinkie.” She said now choking on her tears.
I was now full on crying and I had no intention to stop either, Rainbow Dash was crying with me.
Twilight walked in, now dressed in an army uniform.
“Girls!” she yelled with no remorse for our feelings “Come with me!”
Rainbow Dash looked at her, then back to me.
“No, we’re in no position to come with you Twilight; we’re still recovering from our losses.” Rainbow said with authority
Twilight looked scary and judging her facial expression she had no intention of taking Rainbow Dashes attitude.
“Rainbow Dash, you’ll abbey me, or otherwise I’ll drag you!” Twilight screamed.
I was now crying even harder, that scared the daylights outta’ me.
“What’s your problem!?” Rainbow Dash screamed back
“look, I’ve got the whole of Ponyville to look after, I need you all in the Gala Hall, so move it!” Twilight bellowed; by the time Twilight had finished that sentence Dash and I had got up.
“We’re sorry Twilight, we’re just scared and we’ve never been in this much danger before.” I said trying to defuse the situation
“It’s okay girls’ just get down to the hall.” Twilight said leaving the room
Rainbow and I made our way down the cold grey hallways of Canterlot Castle wondering what or fates would be.
