Prologue | Life Before Getting Stuck in Stone
"Princess Celestia, it's time to give birth to the foal." Dr. Sparkle (secretly Twilight's great-great-great-great-1,000 more greats later-great-grandpa) said, "Now just remember: push, and breathe."
**One Gift of Birth to a Foal Later**
Celestia was gifted with a beautiful baby filly. She had a light blue coat with a different shades of green mane. One of her eyes was red--a beautiful red, just like her father's--the other was the colors of a rainbow in little sections, repeating after a while. She would be able to keep the foal, but her tail was the only problem. It was like a griffin's, the snake-ish part was the same mane green as her mane but the little tuft at the end was black. She was also an alicorn. That was no biggie, she and her sister were alicorns. It would break her heart, but she had to give it to her coltfriend, Discord.
**At Discord's Cave**
Foolpa went Discord's door bell. A basket was placed carefully at the entrance and then Celestia teleported out.
"What's in here?" Discord asked himself as he heard a little cry of joy. "A foal, what, why, who, what, huh?" Discord looked at the little foal, unsure of gender. So he took it inside and snapped his talon. A fire appeared in the upside down fireplace. Then he unwrapped the blanket around the young foal. Now knowing it was a filly, he changed the blanket's colors so it was now light blue with a black and white stripe, just like her mane. Then Discord noticed a letter next to the filly. It read:
Dear Discord,
This may be hard to believe, but this is our filly. I have named her Erisina Crazy Eclipse. We are using my last name and that's that! You can call her Eris. I believe it would be best if she was raised by you. She seems to have powers like yours, but her horn magic will be limited to levitation spells. I strongly believe she'd be safest with you.

"Oh, you're so cute, I'll keep you!" Discord hugged his daughter.
**10 Years Old**
Scribble scribble scribble was all that Discord heard that morning, Eris had gotten some colored pencils after a chocolate mini-muffin, ice cream, cotton candy, and chocolate milk breakfast. She had started drawing and wouldn't let Discord see it.
"DONE!!" Eris yelled as she finished. Near her rump was a white flash of light. Then she got her cutie mark, yet somehow didn't notice. She showed Discord a picture of the two of them holding hoof in claw, a castle beneath them. It was so cute!
"Eris, it's so cute, but look what you got! I didn't even know you could get one!" Discord pointed to her cutie mark. It was a piece of paper with a mint colored leaf
"Yes, yes, yes, ye- wait, what is it?" Eris jumped around Discord then stopped.
"Well it's a thing that tells what your--how would you put it?--oh, talent. I think it means you're a wonderful artist, and that, hmm, oh didn't you like turning mint leaves into speical paper!" Discord replied, mint leaves shooting from his back and dissolving into clay.
"Dad, can you teach me how to fly?" Eris looked up at him with cute eyes.
"OK," Discord rolled his eyes.
**18 Years Old and Taking Over Equestria**
"Dad, let's not make make the same mistake that 'Uncle' Tirek made. Let's hit 'em by surprise. Start off with the little town of Ponyville." Eris glanced at her father. He nodded and two twin snaps were heard as the two chaos and crazy makers teleported into Ponyville. "And I still can't believe you threw Slime across Equestria! I mean, who does that!?!?!?!" Eris's nose was flaring a little.
"You snuck out with him everynight!" Discord replied, looking annoyed. "Let's just take over Ponyville." Then with a snap of their tails they made cotton clouds with chocolate rain appear over Ponyville.
For days they ruled Equestria. Then one day Eris was stuffing her face full of mini-muffins when she saw her dad stuck in stone in an odd pose: he was laughing. The whole world went regular, and she felt herself get weak. Her dad being stuck in stone broke her. She ran, ran, ran for about 3 days straight. It was the night of the third day and she was singing the lullaby her dad sang to her when she was young.
In the dark days,
even if you're far away,

so I stay strong,

and in the darkest days,
we'll run our madness,
together.
Eris sighed, still humming the tune in her head. She heard hoofsteps and readied her wings to take off.
"I would not do that if I were thee," Aunt Luna sneered. She had disliked Eris ever since she had known she existed.
"Please, Eris, don't make us do this," her Mom replied. "It's not my fault I broke up with your father. Blame it on Luna!" Celestia nodded her head toward her sister.
"YOU TOOK AWAY MY FATHER, THE FIRST THING THAT MATTERED TO ME! HOW CAN YOU SAY IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT!?! IT IS! I WILL STAND FOR THE SAME PUNISHMENT IF I HAVE TO!" Those were the last thoughts she had before getting stuck in stone. Celestia and Luna put her near Discord as the statue of anger. She was stuck there for 1,001 years. Poor, poor Eris, stuck in her mind with all her different qualities such as anger, sadness, craziness, and love.
