Chapter 1: Bad Moon Rising
A shadow fell over Luna's moon instantly rousing the alicorn from her nightly routine. "A great evil approaches, I must warn my sister."
"I don't believe you'll be telling anypony anything princess." A sinister voice says.

"Sister, it's time for you to lower the moon." Celestia says as she bangs one of her front hooves on the door. After a pause she knocks again. "Luna?" She asks hesitantly. Once again not getting a response she carefully opens the door. "Are you in here?" She asks then sees Luna apparently asleep on her bed. "That is strange." Celestia says more to herself than aloud. She walks over to the bed and nudges Luna. "Awaken sister."

Meanwhile in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle stands at the window of her magical castle starring at the horizon. "That's odd."
"What is?" Spike asks.
"The sunrise is late today." Twilight muses. "I hope everything is okay."
"Should we write a letter and check?" Spike asks concerned.
"Wonderful idea!" Twilight says as she sets herself about the task.
"Wait, I think I have one coming." Spike says right before he burps up a scroll.
Twilight immediately grabs the scroll in her magic and unrolls it. "Spike I have to the go Canterlot immediately." With that she teleports away dropping the scroll as she does.
Spike walks over to the scroll and picks it up. "What could possibly be so important?" He asks as he reads the scroll turning pale as he does.

Twilight arrives in Canterlot in a flash of purple light. She immediately checks her surroundings to see if she landed where she planned. "At least I was successful, now to find Princess Celestia." She quickly sets off toward Princess Luna's room and enters it. "Princess Celestia?"
"Twilight Sparkle, I'm glad you came so quickly." Celestia says.
"Your message sounded urgent, and you haven't raised the sun yet so I was concerned."
Celestia looks at Twilight then races to the nearest window, quickly taking control of the moon and lowering it, then raising the sun. "Thank you, Twilight." Celestia says as she comes back to her sister's bed. "I can take care of the sun and moon for a while, but we need to find out what happened to Luna."
Twilight nods. “We should discreetly contact a doctor, in the mean time I’ll read over medical journals looking for clues.”
Celestia nods. “Thank you my faithful student.”

“So you thought you could just get rid of me?” Nightmare Moon asks as she walks around the cage that Luna is in.
“Nightmare Moon?” Luna asks shocked. “How is this possible? You and I are the same pony!”
“I was lost in the dream realm after your precious elements separated me from you.”
“This is the dream realm then.” Luna says as she tries to command the world to change.
“Don’t bother, I know how your powers work, and I’ve shielded this castle from them.”
“How did you get me here?”
“It’s not easy but I can inhabit anypony’s body I want, I simply took a royal guard and knocked you unconscious. Your unconscious mind was easy to move here.”
“Why are you doing this?”
“Isn’t obvious?” Nightmare Moon asks. “I’m going to take back over your body so I can rule Equestria!”
Luna slumped in defeat knowing that she couldn’t get out of the cage herself. She reached out with the last tendrils of her power and sent out a message using the power of the moon.
Author's Note
The dialog in here was originally Japanese but has been changed for the ease of the reader. Until such time as it becomes prevalent to the story I will continue to do so, and after that I will provide you you with the translation in brackets.
Chapter 2: Help!

Chapter 2: Help!
Yukito was sleeping uneasily next to his life-mate Toya. They both knew of Yukito’s other form, Yue, the judge, and his connection to Toya’s sister Sakura. Yukito suddenly awakens and steps out of bed.
“Yuki?” Toya asks groggily as the other man gets out of bed only to see his lover transform into Yue and disappear. Toya sighs and throws on some clothes. “So much for getting any more sleep.”

A pounding at their door rouses the the recently hand-fasted Sakura and Syaoran. “Give me a minute!” Sakura yells as she wraps herself in a kimoto and walks to the door only to see Yue standing there. “Yue, what’s the matter?”
“Mistress, forgive me for waking you, but we urgently need to talk.” Yue says.
Sakura nods. “Please give us a few minutes to get dressed and we will come to the kitchen.”
“Very well.” Yue says and walks away.
Sakura closes the door. “Syaoran?”
“Already getting dressed.”Syaoran answers. Sakura walks into the dressing room and sees her husband putting on his green fighting clothes. “If Yue needs us we should be ready for a fight.”
Sakura nods and looks over her clothes before she sees a garment bag she doesn’t recognize. She opens it up to find a pink version of Syaoran’s clothes. “Syaoran, is this your doing?”
Syaoran looks at the outfit in her hand. “That’s obviously Tomoyo’s doing, look at the symbol.”
Sakura looked an instead of the family crest that Syaoran wears her outfit has a star, exactly like the one on the back of her Sakura cards. “I suppose it’s not as bad as some of the outfits she’s made for me.” She says as she changes into it. Next she grabs the star wand necklace and puts it on, then slips the Sakura cards in the hidden pocket of the outfit. The two of them go downstairs only to find Yukito and Toya eating.
“Eat, I made plenty.” Toya says indicating a couple of plates. “Then you three can talk.”
Sakura and Syaoran sit and eat, after they finish eating and they all step into the kitchen Yukito changes back into Yue. “What’s going on?” Sakura asks.
“I have received an urgent plea for help from another world.” Yue answers.
“What do you mean another world?” Sakura asks.
“Clow Reed discovered there are many other worlds out there right beside ours, you might call them parallel dimensions. Whomever is in trouble in this other world can call upon the power of the moon. It’s through the power of the moon that I heard her message.”
“What’s this have to do with us?” Syaoran asks. ‘"It’s not like we can travel to the moon.”
“No, but with Keroberus help I can open up a gateway to the world that the call came from.” Yue answers. “I want you two to go through the gateway and help. Then when you two are finished we can reopen the gate from this side. Me and Keroberus will have to wait on this side for you.”
“But don’t you need my magic to use yours?” Sakura asks.
“You’ve given me ample magic to use my powers for awhile, as long as you aren’t gone longer than a lunar cycle I can open the gateway with little problem. I will conserve energy by remaining in my mundane form as much as possible too.”
“We should grab some clothes and such and go.” Sakura says.
Syaoran nods. “I agree.”
They go back up to their room and pack up some stuff. “Sakura, are we sure this is a good idea? Yue doesn’t know anything about this other world.”
“Someone’s in danger and we have the power to help them, what good are our powers for if we can’t help people Syaoran?”
Syaoran nods, obviously a bit reluctant. “Fine let’s go.” They leave their room only to run into Tomoyo who is as usual holding her video camera.
“Hey you two, enjoying your honeymoon?” Tomoyo asks.
“Tomoyo, we’re hand-fasted.” Sakura says. “So we don’t really get a honeymoon.”
“You two are sharing a room, pretty much the same thing, right?” Tomoyo asks and the couple blushes heavily. “In fact from the looks of it you two are going away for a couple days.”
“Someone in another world needs our help Tomoyo, we’re going to go help them.” Sakura states.
“Is that why you’re wearing the newest outfit I made for you?” Tomoyo asks.
“Yes, we strongly suspect that we will need to fight where we are going.”
“Can I come and videotape the whole thing?” Tomoyo asks. “I love watching Sakura-chan use her magic,”
“Yue and Kero have to open up a gateway for us to go through, I doubt that their magic is strong enough to let you pass too Tomoyo.” Syaoran says.
“Sorry, Tomoyo-chan.” Sakura says hanging her head slightly.
“I understand.” Tomoyo says sadly.
“We should go.” Syaoran says and all three of them leave the apartment and go to the park where they meet Kero and Yue.
“We are ready to open the gateway.” Yue says as Kero changes into his true form.
“Any chance I could go with them?” Tomoyo asks hopefully.
“You can try and follow through after them, but I make no guarantee what would happen to you, you may not make it through. Sakura and Syaoran’s magic and their bond is what’s going to pull them through the gateway.
Tomoyo nods in understanding. “I will just wait then, it’s safer.”
Shaoran takes the video recorder from Tomoyo. “I’ll tape what I can, no promises."
Tomoyo smiles slightly. “Thank you.”
“We’re ready when you are.” Sakura says.
Yue nods and places his hand on Kero’s head. The two close their eyes for a minute and suddenly a doorway appears. “It is ready, go!”
“We’ll hurry back.” Sakura says as she and Syaoran step through the doorway and into the dimensional rift.

Chapter 3: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

Chapter 4: It's A Kind of Magic
The train pulls up to the Canterlot station and the Elements of Harmony along with Sakura and Syaoran get off. “So this is your capital city?” Sakura asks.
“It certainly is.” Twilight answers.
“Very nice.” Sakura says.
“Come on, let’s get to the castle.” Twilight says and the group heads toward the castle.
They arrive at the castle and one of a pair of guards speaks up. “Princess Twilight Sparkle, we were not told to expect you.”
“I have urgent business with Luna and Celestia.“
"You may pass, but the others must wait here."
"My business involves these other ponies, six of us are the elements of harmony, and these other two are ambassadors from Kyoato."
"Very well," the guard says. "You may all enter, I'll trust you Princess to escort the others."
"Of course." Twilight says as she leads the way through the castle. They come to a door and Twilight raises a fore-hoof and knocks.
The door opens and Celestia pokes her head through the doorway. "Princess Twilight?"
"Let us in, I have news." Twilight states then Celestia moves and they all file inside.
"What is so important that you brought not only the other elements but these two strangers into my chambers?"
"These two strangers are actually visitors from another world, they claim Luna contacted them through the moon."
Celestia looks at Sakura and Syaoran. "You two are ponies from another world?"
"We are from another world, but we're not actually ponies." Sakura answers then looks to Twilight who nods. Sakura takes a card from her saddlebags and presses it against her horn. "ILLUSION! Release your magic so we may regain our normal appearances. ILLUSION release!" Sakura and Syaoran glow for a minute and then a bright flash of light. When the light fades they once again appear human Sakura holds her wand in one hand and the card in the other.
"Now let me properly introduce Syaoran Li and his wife Sakura Kinomoto." Twilight nods to them. "And this is one of our diarchs Princess Celestia."
Sakura and Syaoran bow. ”Greetings your highness.“
Celestia dips her head slightly acknowledging them. "Greetings travelers, what news do you have of my sister?”
“She sent a distress signal to us, we came to see if we could help."
"My sister seems to be in some kind of magical sleep can you use your magic to wake her?” Celestia asks. .
”I'm not sure, I need to confer with the cards."
"Confer with the cards?"
Sakura nods and pulls a card out of her outfit. “MIRROR! Come take my form. MIRROR release!" A mirror appears reflecting only Sakura, then reflection of Sakura steps through the mirror.
“You summoned me, Mistress?" The reflection asks.
“Yes this pony is in some kind of magical sleep can one of you wake her? ” Sakura asks.
MIRROR looks at Luna then back to Sakura, “something is holding her in the dream. SLEEP could link you to her and send you into her dream.”
Sakura nods, "Thank you for your advice.“
"Let me go with you.” Syaoran says.
Sakura nods and sits on the floor before pulling out another card. "SLEEP! Put us into sleep and link us to this pony's dream. SLEEP release!"
Syaoran sits next to Sakura as the card turns into a young periwinkle fairy-like little girl with a star on its forehead and one overlarge feathered ear and short hair carrying a wand. SLEEP goes over Sakura and Syaoran and puts them into a magical sleep.

Chapter 5: Dreamweaver
Sakura and Syaoran stand in front of a massive castle on what appears to be the moon. MIRROR shimmers into existence SLEEP flies beside her. "SLEEP says the pony is in that castle ” Mirror says.
“MIRROR what are you doing here?” Sakura asks.
“You did not release me, so I came with you.” MIRROR states.
Sakura nods, "Let’s go rescue her."

“This is taking longer than I anticipated.” Nightmare Moon growls.
“You will never have my body again." Luna says defiantly. “I will perish first."
"Then perhaps it is time you did just that.” Nightmare Moon says as she charges her magic. Just as she's about to fire her magic an arrow whizzes past her.
"Not so fast there." Sakura says as ARROW returns to card form. “I've come to free Princess Luna."
"Who are you?”
“I am the mistress of the cards, Sakura Kinomoto, and you are?”
“Nightmare Moon.“ she answers then fires her magic at Sakura.
“SHIELD! " Sakura yells tapping the air as if the card is there and a glowing shield covers them.
"Raijin attack!" Syaoran says as he hits a seal with is sword and Nightmare Moon is struck by lighting.
Nightmare Moon laughs, "That tickles.“
"Mistress, she's inmaterial." MIRROR says.
“SHADOW! Bind this pony. SHADOW release! " Sakura touches the card to her wand and shadows immediately attack Nightmare Moon.
“What is the meaning of this? ” Nightmare Moon asks as she is thoroughly contained.
“You are finished." Sakura says. “SWORD! release!” her wand turns into a sword
“Young one, you can not kill her." Luna says.
MIRROR walks up to Nightmare Moon. “You are all alone aren’t you?”
“What do you know of loneliness?” Nightmare Moon asks
“Awhile back I was seperated from my friends, I knew loneliness then. My mistress reunited all of us, and now we have HOPE.”
Nightmare Moon laughs. “I have no hope, I am alone in the darkness!”
“Come join us,” MIRROR says.
“Join you?” Nightmare Moon asks and watches as all of the Sakura cards surround Sakura and her.
“Mistress, you can turn her into one of us.” MIRROR says. “It is well within your power now.”
“SWORD dispel!” Sakura says and the wand returns to normal. “I Sakura, mistress of the cards command you by the power of my star to change form, I name you NIGHTMARE!” Magic energy encapsulates Nightmare Moon, as the form of a card appears at the end of Sakura’s wand. Nightmare Moon vanishes and Sakura holds a card, she looks at his and sees the image of Nightmare Moon and the name The NIGHTMARE. She takes a pen and signs the card with her name.
“She is gone?” Luna asks from her cage.
“She is here.” Sakura says as she holds up the card. “She is with friends.”
“The rest of the cards are welcoming her.” MIRROR says. “May I join them?”
“Of course.” Sakura says. “MIRROR dispel!” She taps her doppelganger and she turns back into a card. “Now let’s get you out of this cage, and back to the waking world.” Sakura walks over to the cage. “SWORD release!” her wand once again turns into a sword and Sakura quickly cuts the cage open.
“Thank you.” Luna says. “Now let me return us all to the waking world.”
Sakura nods, “SWORD dispel!” her wand returns to normal and then the world ripples as they wake up.

Chapter 6: In The End
“I think they’re waking up.” Pinkie Pie says
“Pinkie give em some room.” Applejack says.
Sakura opens her eyes only to look into the eyes of the aforementioned pink party pony. “Personal space please, Pinkie?”
“Oh goody, you are awake! Now can I throw you a party?”
“One of your parties does sound tempting.” Luna says as she wakes up. “But I could really just go for something to eat.”
“Okie Dokie Lokie.” Pinkie says as she rushes off.
“Princess Luna what happened?” Princess Twilight asks.
“Nightmare Moon held me in within her power.” Luna answers.
“I thought we destroyed Nightmare Moon.” Twilight states.
“Apparently the elements separated her from my body. It took her some time but she worked up enough power to capture me.”
“Will she come back again?” Twilight asks.
“There’s no chance of that.” Sakura says. “She is with me now.” With that she pulls out the card and shows them.
“You turned her into a card?” Twilight asks.
Sakura nods. “It’s how my magic works.”
“I brought muffins, and scones, and biscuits, and..” Pinkie starts only to be silenced by Twilight using her magic to shove a muffin into her mouth.
“Thank you Pinkie.” Twilight says as Luna uses her magic to grab some food and starts eating. The rest of them dig in.
“So party?” Pinkie asks hopefully after finishing the muffin..
Sakura sighs, “We should probably head home soon, I’m not sure how long Yue and Kero will be able to make a gateway.”
“Yue is the one I contacted, yes?” Luna asks.
Sakura nods, “That is correct your majesty.”
Luna closes her eyes for a minute. “I contacted Yue, he says they will open the gateway in the morning.”
Pinkie grins. “Yes Pinkie,” Twilight says. “That means a party.”
“Yeah!” Pinkie practically screams as she heads off to plan the party.
“Should we be scared?” Sakura asks.
“I doubt it.” Twilight says.
“I’m sure y’all will enjoy whatever Pinkie has planned.” Applejack says.

The next morning our heros are all gathered in the throne room. “I have directed Yue, the gateway is going to open up right here.” Luna says. “I can never thank you for what you have done.”
“It has been our honor, your majesty.” Sakura says as she and Syaoran bow to her.
“It is I who should be bowing to you,” Luna says as she and the others all bow to Sakura and Syaoran. “We are in your debt, if you ever need us let us know.”
“Of course, we will remember that.” Sakura says as the gateway opens open right in front of them.
“Bye!” Pinkie says as she hugs them both.
“We’ll miss you Pinkie.” Sakura says. “You’re a good friend.” Pinkie lets go of the couple and they go through the gateway.

“Eventful trip?” Yue asks after Sakura and Syaoran appear in front of them.
Sakura holds up The NIGHTMARE, “I’d say.”
“You made a new card?” Kero asks surprised.
“And we made some interesting friends.” Sakura says. “I hope we get to see them again.” She puts the card back in her outfit. “What is this?” She pulls out of photo of a group of ponies and chuckles. ”Pinkie must have slipped this into my pocket when she hugged us.”
“Ponies?” Yue asks.
Sakura grins. “Oh, that’s right, you don’t know.”
Syaoran takes the camera out of his bag. “It gets better.”
