Guy talk.
Prism slowly trotted through Ponyville, small smile adnorned his face as he passed yet another pony on his way to the bar.
It was almost a month since he broke up with Whirlwind, things were quite awkward and complicated since then, and even though Prism would never admit it he still didn’t manage to pick himself up.
That’s why he gladly accepted the invitation to the bar from Del and T, they were supposed to just meet up and talk, not something he usually enjoys to do but now he needed that, not that he was going to admit it of course.
Young Pegasus finally arrived at his destination and his smiled widened as he passed the boundaries of the tall building known as “Peter’s&Lloyd’s”, one of Ponyville’s bars where you could get both good food and cold drinks.
He spotted his friends sitting at one of the tables, at the same moment his smile changed into frown as he noticed someone he wasn’t expecting to see.
“Hey Prism, what’s up man.” Del asked with small bit of southern accent in his voice, T smiled and nodded his head in greeting manner.
“Hey Del, nothing new, hey T.” Prism narrowed his eyes “Hey “Coal”.”
Black stallion currently known as Coal smirked “Hey Prismy.”
Prism mumbled something under his nose and sat down with a scowl on his muzzle, Del gulped nervously seeing where this is going, while T didn’t really pay any attention as he was too focused on his menu.
“So emm, I’m glad you came Prism, I actually thought that you wouldn’t come.” Del said.
“What is he doing here?” Prism stated blankly staring at Coal.
“Well I’m here cause I was invited by Del here, also Claire wanted me to spend some more quality time with her friends, unfortunately you fall into that category.”
Prism stood up causing T to lose interest in the list of food finally realizing what’s going on.
“I’m leaving.” Prism stated blankly and started to turn around only to be stopped by T’s claws on his shoulder.
“All right listen, both of you, I know you two had some scratches in the past, but you are our friends and I really think you should try to be more friendly, you can’t just evade each other for the rest of your life.” T said and sat down, Prism and Coal looked at each other and sighed.
“I guess we can give it a try.” Prism said and sat back down while Coal simply nodded.
“Now that we got this out of the way, we can do that thing we were going to do.”
“Which is?” Coal asked.
“You know that thing.”
All guys looked at each other quite confused, before locking their gazes on Del waiting for more information.
“Ok fine I don’t know, we were supposed to meet up and talk but I didn’t think it quite through.”
“Well Claire recently had a “Girls talk” with her friends maybe we could do something like that?”
“Are you serious?” Prism asked with cocked eyebrow looking at the prince of chaos in disguise.
“Well we don’t have any better ideas.”
“Yeah sure let’s try that, but what are they doing on those meetings?” Del asked.
“Dunno, gossiping?” Prism suggested.
“They are talking about their romance problems?”
“Maybe they are talking about their sex lifes?”
Prism started to choke on air while Coal and Del simply stared and T with wide eyes, young dragon colt was clearly confused at their reactions.
“Where the hell did that come from?!” Coal asked in panic.
“Emm, Annie said something like that before going on this meeting of theirs.”
Prism facehoofed “T, sometimes I’m not sure if I should envy you or pity you.”
“Emm thanks?”
“All right let’s all just forget this happened, you know what screw the “Girls talk”.”
They all nodded in agreement.
“So Prism, how are things with Starburst going?”
Young pegasus cocked his eyebrow. “Now that came out of freaking nowhere Del and what do you mean by that?”
Earth colt rolled his eyes. “Well we all know that you two have a thing for each other.”
Prism blushed slightly which didn’t go unnoticed by his friends, small mischievous smirk appearing once again on Coal’s muzzle.
“Nothing of the sort, I mean sure she’s nice and all but that would never work out.”
“Oh really? Why is that rainbow head?” Coal asked and Prism growled quietly.
“She founds me irritating, that’s why.”
“She does?! I really can’t see why.” Coal added with a bit too much sarcasm making Prism frown again.
“Well I don’t know Prism, I mean I catch her staring at you almost every time we meet in group.” T stated as a matter of fact.
“She does? Heh not really surprising, I mean there is a lot to stare at.” Prims stated proudly puffing out his chest making other guys just roll their eyes simultaneously.
“Anyways, even if she finds me attractive, that isn’t enough for a relationship, and I’m not really looking for one right now.”
“Is it about Whirlwind?” Del asked and Prism nodded.
“Prism, spill the beans, what’s going on between you two.”
“Well we’re, I don’t know it’s complicated. I think we are friends and I’m fine with that, no actually I’m more than glad, it’s just I don’t want to mess this up too.”
Prism sighed and looked at Del. “What about you big guy?”
“Well what about me?”
Prism rolled his eyes. “Ohh don’t pretend know, we all know you have a thing for sweets.” He said and raised his eyebrows.
“I don’t think I get it.” Farm colt answered confused.
“I’m talking about Candy.”
Del eyes went wide and he blushed.
“Ohh, did I hit the spot?” Prism asked smirking.
Del opened his mouth in order to say something but his words didn’t want to leave his throat so he just stayed quiet, suddenly T remembered something he heard from Annie.
“Hey Prism is it true you took a bath with Star?” He stated blankly.
Prism once again blushed while Del sighed in relief.
“Wow Prismy got Starburst to take a bath with him? Really? How interesting.” Coal added.
“It was just a dust bath! For pony’s sake it’s nothing private, seriously T where did you get that from?”
“Well I..”
“Wait don’t answer, I think I know.” Prism stated and silence fell over them like a rain on a stormy day, after few good minutes of silence it was finally broken by Coal.
“Emm guys, how about we go and, I don’t know play some hoofball? This conversation felt really… emmm.”
“Girly?” Prism asked.
“Yeah.” Coal answered.
“That’s a great idea actually, come on let’s get the hell out of here.” Prism said and they all agreed, as they were leaving the bar Prism smiled, he will never admit it, but even though this talk felt weird and it didn’t really help him with his problem he was feeling much better already.
