Sand stretching far, that keeps going and going till a pony gets bored. Yellow little dust clouds, sitting in the ground on top of each other. Innumerable amounts of sand crystals just doing nothing while once in blue moon they might get caught up in wind to be spread somewhere else. Trekking through this godawful sand is a pain that ponies like me loath to the point of divine hatred. Hooves get caught with this stupid crap and you have to take off the dust with a rag or some shit. Whatever, at least its all worth it some how even though I have to go through almost miles and miles of dry dirt. I'm almost to where I gotta go, that bastard better not be high on Dash again or else I'm gonna throttle his precious equipment. A mahogany hoof stepped onward towards the desert. Little hoof-prints marked the sand where it tread. Her orange mane twirled elegantly against the wind while she moved forward. In full blast, the sun in the sky lit powerfully and it warmed her skin even with the leather jacket she wore. She continued to walk forward through the endless mass. Overtime, the sun began to lower down towards the nighttime. Watching the moon up high gave a feeling of a incredibly long stiffness to her legs. It would harken to the thousand years that Princess Luna endured so long ago. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore, even down to the experience of traveling this much. She stopped, her legs shaking from exhaustion. The mildly cold sand cooled her rump when she sat down to relax. Breathing a heavy sigh, she lay head first. Her pony snout deep in thick sand and tired ligaments resting. How she ever got used to such a journey is something she didn't think would happen to her. She stretched her legs, a sudden crack from her tense joints. The feeling became pure release. Looking up, the sight of metal under the moon light crossed her eyes. A euphoria of satisfaction overcame her mind. She finally arrived and with the promise of no more texture from this horrid sand scraping the bottom of her hooves. Pushing herself up, her hooves moaned in anger at her. She ignored their cries, as nice that their council may be. Getting closer to the establishment gave a better view of what she remembered. A massive metal complex with a large round satellite sitting on top having two stories and a large metal fence surrounding the place that were three times higher than a equines body, it stood ominously towards any offense. She went towards the fence to search and find a seemingly openable door hosting a speaker phone on its metal frame. Pressing the button on the rectangular speaker phone gave the sound of smashing and different loud clangs of dropped things. Standing while listening to this made her back a few steps. She knew that he was a slouch, but didn't think he would be that cluttered in this Celestia forsaken place. With a sigh, she realized that if anypony lived alone in there they would act the same. The speaker phone screeched before making a clear static. "Who is it!? I'll vaporize you alive if you're lookin for trouble!" said the microphone's user. "Panoram, its me, let me in or I'll break this machine of yours." "Leslie? its you? get in here, quickly." The microphone turned to static, giving a fast peep sound before shutting down completely. The door electrically opened and Leslie trotted deeper inside. Walking past the squarely aligned fence that covered a lot. She noticed off the distance of what seemed to be the deceased bones of ponies who wanted to get into this place. Fallen in to the ground near where they met their ends on the electrified wires. Those wires sizzled with power and would electrocute anypony who dared try to climb over it. A bit of sympathy surged through her mind before turning towards comfort of their deaths from what their intentions might have been. Never-the-less, to see ponies just haphazardly killed like nothing is discomforting. Leslie quickly looked away from the burnt, blackened bones. Closing in on the entrance, the hospital-like double doors leading inside parted to her presence. When entered through, the area was much cooler than the outside, a welcome thing. Two turrets on the ground with big plastic heads and single plastic red eyes watched her ready to fire. Leslie raised a hoof in fear, these weren't here last time she visited. An escalating beep played from the two machines before they lowered their killing snouts. From the ceiling a microphone captured her sight as it statically made noise. "For goodness sakes, work you stupid contraption! Ah there we are, sorry about that, these are a new addition to keep me alive, continue on now." finished the microphone. A sweat dropped from her brow, she felt like her end was to be swift and meaningless like those ponies outside. The little hallway she was in and the two questionable turrets sitting idly by led to a elevator like contraption thats small and had a metallic pedestal. A familiar button sat on that pedestal and she made her way to the contraption after kicking one of the turrets for giving her such a fright. She continued down the hallway until she met with the small elevator. She pressed the button and elevated up to the second story, giving an odd feeling of discomfort in her shaky legs. The machine took her upward, till she became face first towards a metal door. A sudden quick beep and it opened without any hoofed handling. She trotted through until she got a better view of the surrounding area. It seemed she is in a lounge that contained a working refrigerator, oven, and cupboards made entirely of white plastic. Pristine as these were, she mostly hungered at the contents the fridge must have contained. She had been walking for days to get here with what provisions she had and they had been utterly used up. Leslie went towards the refrigerator and watched it for a mere moment. No hesitation were made when she grasped that handle for the goodies inside.
