It has been nearly five years. Five years to what? Five years after the "Black Cough," or the "Insanity Scare," or whatever ponies liked to call it.
It was the time of a virus known as Celius. A dangerous disease which caused the death of hundreds of ponies around the globe. If it weren't for the help of Twilight and her scientist friend. Celius would have not stopped at just a couple hundred.
Twilight was happy Celius had been eradicated five years ago, for good this time. Since it wasn't an unknown virus to the past 10 generations.
Twilght sits in her library, reading a book. She smiles brightly as she flips the page of her textbook of modern magic. She takes a deep breath, and continues her journey through Magicology, and Magimatics.
This is enough reading for her. Twilight levitates the book closed, and brings it to a shelf. Sliding it in, she notices something peculiar.
A dusty book. Never has there been a dusty in Twilight's library. Why is there a dusty book here? Twilight has read every single book in her library a not-insanely high amount. Yet there it sat, a dusty book, being dusty, and just catching more dust.
Did I mention it was dusty?
Twilight levitates the book out of the shelf, and looks at the cover. Dust covers the title, and makes it a challenge to read. Instead of trying to read through, Twilight takes a common approach, and blows the dust off the book. Twilight shuts her eyes to protect them.
Twilight gets a bad feeling about this, for it has happened before.
Five years ago, Twilight found a book that looked like this. It contained information on Celius. Coincidentally, after reading, the virus became something nearly unstoppable.
And now there is a book, exactly like the one she found in Celius. Worried, Twilight slowly peeks at the covered, not wanting to see any diseases. Fate, however, had other plans, and this was indeed a disease book.
A disease which can take your life! Make your death slow and painful! Take all your loved ones in the blink of an eye!
Twilight sighed in relief. It looked like the Celius book, because it is the Celius book. Twilight must have forgotten she left in there, in the section under "C."
She most likely just have left in there, and just didn't want to read it again. After all, there are much more fascinating books on useful things than a disease that's already dead.
Twilight levitates the book back into it slot. A couple more years of dusting before she would ever want to read that horrific book.
Twilight yawns, and rubs her eyes. It's getting dark. She had been reading late and hadn't noticed... Again. Twilight lazily walks upstairs to get her good nights rest.
The past five years has gone great! Happiness restored, buildings rebuilt, ponies all-in-all having a marvelous time!
Not a single worried plagued the minds of the innocent!
Let's hope it lasts long...
... Oh who am I kidding? This is title "Epidemic 2" for a reason!

Twilight stretches and yawns, as the birds chirp their beautiful tunes of morning melodies! Twilght gets up, and trots to her dresser, pulls out a comb, and does what little girls should be doing to her toy version.
Twilight then trots downstairs, and is about to walk outside when something catches her eye. A book on her desk.
That's odd, Twiligt put away the books she was reading last night. Why is this one here?
Twilight walked over to it. It was an orange book. On the cover, the title read, "Vramix."
"Vramix?" Twilight reads, and slowly opens the book, inside, there is a picture of a brain, and on the brain, a small worm with tiny tendrils poking into the brain. Twilight shivered at the though of her brain being poked with. The opposite page says, 'Neural Breach. Causes rapid eye blinking.'
Twilight flipped the page, and there was a blue beaker. It reminded of something. Twilight gasped, and back from the book. The virus book had that exact vial in it.
Twilight shivered in fear. Something like this doesn't happen twice, right? Well, the last time it happened, she read trough the whole book, and it happened, maybe if she doesn't read it, nothing will happen!
Twilight levitated the book shut, and shoved it into the drawer of ther desk.
She will not read that book, no matter how tempting.
I mean, c'mon. There was a plague five years ago. Surely another one can't come. Atleast, not so soon. Right?
Especially not something like a worm! That's insane!
Twilight took a deep breath, and relaxed. There was nothing to worry about, plagues are a thing of the past. She heads out, and breaths in the fresh air. Another plague-free day in Equestria.
"Good morning, Twlight!" Calls a happy yellow-ish mare as she passes.
"Good morning, Bon Bon!" Replies Twilight.
Today was going to be a good day!
Oh Twilight, had you seen her flutter her eyes, you'd have not smiled, and trotted away.
Vramix begins in Ponyville.
Funny how we've gotten here, isn't it?
There is a Neurax Worm loose in Equestria.
And that's 5 years after a virus swept across the nation.
Will the little ponies be able to make it through like they did last time?
Only time will tell, because I don't even know. Seriously, this is all improvised.
In fact, I only write this little section, because it allows me to submit the story.
I unknowingly tried to submit with 9 hundred something words. I should have enough by now, right?
The rest of chapters will be 1200+ words from now on.
Apparently not. Now I have exactly one thousand number of words.
