//-------------------------------------------------------// Hands -by TheFunSizedFrenzy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// IT BEGINS //-------------------------------------------------------// IT BEGINS The following day: 14:56 Spike was running to get to his destination. He wasn't very excited about it, he just wanted to get it over with. Lyra...scared Spike. Her love for these things called 'humans,' obsessing over hands, and...those eyes. Her eyes are what scared Spike the most. The way they glimmered less than other ponies' eyes. Her eyes almost had an evil trait to them. She doesn't seem to blink, ever. Oh well. As soon as he got to Lyra's house, he noticed she was standing in the doorway, looking at him. "Hiya, Spike! You made it! I was kinda worried that you wouldn't come. I mean, last night, you didn't sound too enthusiastic about this whole thing, but I'm soooo glad you made it!" Lyra rejoiced, as she bounced about. "Come in!" She gestured towards the door. "Sure, uh, thanks." Spike responded nervously, as he walked in the door, Lyra following him in. Everything was all set up for Spike's arrival. A neat table with two chairs arranged with steaming hay cakes on a plate with a fork and knife, accompanied by two glasses of apple juice. "You like it?" Lyra asked. "Yeah. It's really nice, thanks for having me over, Lyra." Spike replied. He was actually starting to like this. Lyra showed Spike to a seat, and then sat herself down in the other chair. "Have some hay cakes! I made them myself before you came over. I made the juice, too." Lyra enthusiastically urged Spike to eat. Lyra winked at him. "I love apple juice! Thanks, Lyra" Spike and Lyra started to eat their cakes and drink their juice. They casually chatted over their afternoon meal. "How do you make such good hay cakes?" Spike asked. "Oh, I get all my ingredients from a little farm Bon Bon's parents own out in the country. They grow everything you could imagine! And they have quite a few animals, too." Lyra answered. "And with the apple juice, I get my apples from Applejack. I've had lots of experi-" Spike's hearing went fuzzy. "Lyra? I-I don't feel so good..." "You can lay down on the couch if you want." Lyra helped Spike to the couch and laid him down on it. Spike felt very dizzy now. As soon as his head touched one of the pillows on the couch, Spike was out cold. As soon as Spike's eyes were closed, Lyra's friendly and welcoming expression turned into an evil grin. (CHAPTER UNFINISHED) //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue It was a normal day in Ponyville, mind the cloud cover. Spike was going to get groceries when he noticed Lyra was watching him, almost creepily. As soon as Spike looked Lyra in the eyes, she looked elsewhere. This didn't exactly concern Spike, but it made him worry a little. About thirty-five minutes after the strange encounter with Lyra, Spike was walking home with the groceries. Lyra was on the same bench, in the same position. It was as if she hadn't moved at all. Because she hadn't. Spike looked at her, but this time Lyra didn't look away. Now Spike was concerned. Neither of them said a word. Spike walked into Golden Oaks Library, set down the groceries, and looked out the window. Lyra was still there. It was now dark outside. Twilight was reading and Spike was making dinner when they both heard a knock at the door. Spike continued his cooking as Twilight got up to answer it. She opened the door and there stood...Lyra. Spike wasn't aware of this, as he was in the kitchen. Lyra had a welcoming yet almost disturbing smile on her face. "Hello, Lyra." Twilight greeted Lyra "Hi, Twilight. Spike home?" "Yes, he is. Hold on. Spiiike! We have a guest!" Twilight called. "Coming!" Spike called back. The grin on Lyra's face grew wider. Spikes stomach twisted as he saw who was at the doorway. "Hey, L-Lyra..." Spike said nervously. "Hi Spike!" Lyra greeted. "I wanna ask ya something. Wanna come over my place tomorrow for lunch? Bon Bon says I make the best Hay Cakes." "Aww, isn't that nice, Spike?" Twilight said. Spike, stunned, had many thoughts rushing through his mind. Should I go? What if I say no? Why was she so creepy earlier? "Uhhh...Sure, Lyra. That sounds nice. What time?" Spike stammered. "3 PM, sharp. Don't be late!" Lyra giggled, as she walked out of the library.
