Learning Appreciation

                   "What?! Nooooooo" exclaimed Nightmare Moon as the Elements of harmony shrouded her with their power. Everything was then engulfed in a blinding light as the elements finished releasing their magic upon the evil known as Nightmare Moon. Unknown to those present as her form was split in two separate forms.

               After a while  the mane six started to stir from the sudden magical overload.each regaining their bearings and shaking loose the the feeling of dizziness from their vision.

"Uh my head." Announced Rainbow Dash as she rubbed her head.

"Everypony ok?" Asked Applejack while checking to make sure everyone was ok.

"Oh thank goodness" exclaimed Rarity noticing her tail had regrown.

"My, Rarity it's lovely." Flutter shy said as she approached rarity.

" I know, I'll never part with it again." She said while hugging her tail.

"No your necklace" Fluttershy pointed out. "It looks just like your cutie mark." As she witness Rarity look down to compare it to her mark.

"So does yours." She gasped.

"Look at mine. Look at mine." Exclaimed Pinkie Pie jumping over to Applejack.

Rainbow Dash noticed hers and puffed her chest out. "Aww yeah"

"Gosh Twilight I reckoned it was a bunch of hooey you were talking back there." Twilight heard as she turned to face Applejack. "Buts guess we really do represent the Elements of Harmony."

"Indeed you do." As the sun started to break over the horizon, and through the window. As the sun died down a large white pony with a white coat and flowing ethereal mane of soothing colors. All the ponies bowing as she entered.

"Princess Celestia." Exclaimed Twilight as she trotted over to her teacher.

"Twilight sparkle my faithful student." As she leaned down to nuzzle the side of he face with Twilights. "I knew you could do it."

"But you just told me it was an old ponies tale." Stated Twilight as she backed away.

"I told you to make some friends, and nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moons return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her. But you could not do that until you could let true friendship into your heart."Celstia said glancing across the room. "Now if only another will as well." She whispered and turned to the prone form of the pony laying on the ground next to the piled pieces of armor." Princess Luna!" The small alicorn on the ground suddenly jutted awake and gasped as she saw her sister aproach.

"It has been a thousand years since I seen you last. Let us put are differences aside. We were meant to rule together little sister." Celestia said as she laid down in front of Luna.

"Sister?" Gasped the others,

"Will you except my friendship?" Asked Celestia as she stood up.she notice Luna look away for a second while the wielders of the elements of Harmony where watching on the tips of their toes. She notice Pinkie lean to far as she fell on her face.

Looking down Luna's eyes started to water. "I'm so sorry" she yelled as she moved closer to nuzzle Celestia." I missed you so much big sister" she said as her tears fell.

Celestia bent down to nuzzle her back tears forming in her own eyes."I missed you to."

They both herd a loud sob and turned to pinkie who was wailing.

"Hey! You know what this calls for?" Swapping her mood completely. But was interrupted by a sudden clamor. Everyone tried to find where it came from.

"What the? What is this? Get it off." Demanded a  a fairly small high pitched voice, coming from the small pile of armor.

Celestia used her magic to lift up the helmet from the top of the pile and when she did gasped in sock. Standing in the pile was a small alicorn filly no older than 2-3 years of age. A tiny horn only a quarter the size of Twilight's and a tiny pair of wings unusable for flight, maybe for a hover but not flight. She had purple shaded coat much like Twilight's but a shade darker. Her mane a pure midnight blue, almost black but with a blue tint to it and eyes of that same pure blue. But what got Celestia's attention was that there was no cutie mark evident on her flank.

POV change

I awoke and saw nothing but blackness. I could hear voices and they sounded very familiar. Feeling around I noticed I seemed to have my head stuck in something akin to a pot or a bucket. And I attempted to remove it as soon as possible.

"What the? What is this? Get it off." I demanded as I tried to remove the object with all my strength but stopped when I heard my voice. It did not sound anything like my voice. It sounded high and soft, almost like a foals.suddenly I felt the object clasped around my head get pulled away. And what I saw stopped me cold in my tracks. Standing above me was Celestia glaring down at me. Looking around I noticed that there was another alicorn standing behind her and the six ponies who used the elements of harmony against me. I then looked down at my self and noticed my body and how small i looked. I pulled a hoof up and examined its small size and new color. I glanced back up to Celestia and felt fear. I don't know why buy I felt scared and alone, but mostly I wanted my mommy.

I noticed that all the rooms occupants where staring at me. It made me feel awkward and I then I heard a voice. But it was not Celestias but Luna's.

POV Normal

"Who are thee little one?" Asked Luna as she walked around Celestia to get a better look at the filly. A hint of anger in her voice.

The filly squirmed a bit as she was stated at and all of a sudden actually felt small. She new what would happened when she answered.

"Are thee Nightmare Moon?" Luna questioned again. She saw the filly suddenly tense and saw the fear in her eyes and almost regretted it as tears fell while she nodded. Now was Luna's turn to tense as anger flowed threw her and she raised her hoof. The filly recoiled and covered her head ready for the blow.The other occupants gasped as she was about to bring it across the filly's head intending to hit her, but was suddenly stopped as she felt her hoof would not budge and noticed Celestias magic holding her at bay.

"Why did thy stop us sister?" Luna's asked using the Canterlot voice. Obviously angry at the filly.

"Why do you want to hit a defenseless filly?" Celestia asked as she notice that Luna realized what she was about to do."She may be Nightmare Moon in mind but it is evident she is nothing but mere filly, if the fear in her eyes are any indication." She then looked towards Nightmare "We shall handle this later I do believe we have a celebration to continue. I shall place an invisibility spell on her as to keep suspicion low. Twilight would like for you to keep an eye on her during the celebration if you will I will allow you to see through the spell." Se stated as she awaited a reply.

"Yes princess, I will keep a close eye on her."twilight replied as she moved ever so closer to the fillyized Nightmare. And waited for Celestia to cast her spell.

After the celebration our six heroes, two princesses, and one filly were righting in the chariot on their way back to the palace. And through the whole time all the first time fliers: Pinkie, Rarity, and Applejack were all marveling at the sights. Luna and Nightmare Moon were entranced by the city and the lights surrounding the area. Never before seeing such a sight. Celestia on the other hoof had thoughts swimming threw her head. During the celebration as all the ponies came up running to say their thanks and to see Princess Luna. Nightmare Moon still under the invisibility spell seemed to move closer to Twilight and hug her forelimb out of fear. It was then that gears started to turn to form a very trolly idea. She then noticed that the chariot was landing and that they had approached their destination, and motioned each of her little ponies to the front gate. She watched as each of them looked like a filly on Hearths Warming Day.

"Alright my little ponies, I know we are tired and wish to head home. But there is the matter of Nightmare Moon I wish to discuss." She said as she walked them to the throne room. As she moved to her throne she motioned for Luna to take up hers as well. " Any inputs?" She asked as she glanced around the room.

"Ooooooh ooooooh let's throw her a congratulation party on not being a big meanie anymore."suggested Pinkie as she was jumping up and down.

"I say we lock her up." Stated Rainbow Dash flying up into Nightmares face, causing her to flinch back into Twilights leg, and tried to hide her face.

"Knock that of Rainbow. Can't you tell she is already scared as is?" Twilight stated Celestia saw this and her trolly thoughts got slightly stronger.

After more suggestion everyone except: Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Twilight wanted to lock her away. Luna suggested sealing her back on the moon. This caused her to break into tears.

"No, I believe I have a better solution. I know that most of you may disagree, but I think it is for the best." She stated with a very smug smile on her face.

"What will you do princess?" Asked Twilight as she waited for her teacher.

"From what I have seen I believe the best course of action is to place Twilight as the legal guardian of Nightmare Moon and have you live together in ponyville and raise her in the teachings of friendship as you learn." Said Celestia noticing all the shocked looks from every pony in the room. It was then that she only heard one word come from each of them.

"What?!" Music to her ears.
