"Forget the others. Just start it up, now! I have to see for myself before I will put faith into this machine." Said Chrysalis, leader and queen of her army of Changelings.
"Okay. You're the boss. Might want to stand back," uttered a changeling servant.
The machine, which looked like a regular sized mirror, really didn't seem at first like any machine at all. In fact, it appeared to look exactly like a mirror with all of the same properties. However, when anything came in contact with the mirror's shimmering surface, they would be cast into another realm. This version was a prototype built by the Changelings to explore and take over other dimensions. When it was complete, it was to be self-sufficient. In other words, the mirror would not need a power source to remain active. The changeling servant flipped a few switches, then one large lever.
The mirror immediately showed activity. It seemed to be alive in it's own sense, shimmering with a lively touch.
"Does it work properly, yet?" The queen said as the machine continued to glow brighter, more lively, by the second.
"We will have to perform more tests first, my queen." Replied the changeling servant as he proceeded to shut off the mirror's power.
"Very well. I suppose vengeance will have to w-"
She was cut off by a loud buzzing. It was a very intense buzzing that was so loud as to cut off her train of thought. The mirror flickered a few times in it's shimmering light. It began to grow out of control. The queen rushed from the chamber and out into the courtyard to avoid harm. The buzzing then stopped.
"My God! Queen Chrysalis! You must come back in at once!" The servant Changeling shouted excitedly.
The dark queen walked in, and stopped in disbelief. The creature before her that must have emerged from the mirror was unlike anything she had ever seen. Clearly it was from another world. She was truly horrified at what she saw. It was the disbelief that really stuck out. Before she could respond, the Changeling Royal Guard stormed the room.
"Queen Chrysalis! Get back! It could be armed! Stand upright, fiend! You are now a prisoner under the Changelings! You will abide by anything we command of you! Understand?"
The creature straightened itself, and finally opened it's eyes. The creature then closed its eyes, and fell back to the floor.
The guard rushed the prisoner to medical care, where a changeling conjured up some water and a wet rag to cool the patient off. After being given a quick drink of water, the creature began to regain its senses. It was a peculiar creature in the eyes of anypony. A two-legged creature with what appeared to be an oddly shaped head. Maybe that was just the bump from when the creature face-planted into the floor.
"Where am I? Who are all of you?" The creature said as it, with a horrific look on its face, attempted to rush from the table in panic, screaming and flailing its arms about trying to escape. This tactic failed as it was bound to the operating bed it was laying on.
"Queen Chrysalis! It speaks!" Said what appeared to be a Changeling nurse.
The Queen, who had been brought into the room before the prisoner's awakening, had an intimidating expression on her face such as to show the prisoner that he was her property now.
"You are the human. We have scarce research on your kind. We don't know much of you. There has only been one instance in ancient pony history in which humans have come in contact with our world. You will be heavily questioned. If you choose not to comply, you will be tortured. Us Changelings have perfected our way of torturing those who refuse to comply, so I suggest you remember who you now belong to, prisoner."
The prisoner, too horrified to respond, was then stood up and taken into his holding cell. His cell was located in the P.O.W(Prisoner of War) section of the dungeons, but the Changelings still weren't sure that this name was fitting for such a prisoner. Unfortunately, there was no "Aliens from another world" section to the changeling dungeons.
The next few months that followed for the prisoner would be horrific. He would be truly corrupted in every sense.
"Scepter! You have been called upon to speak with Queen Chrysalis at once on behalf of urgent matters!" commanded a changeling officer.
General Scepter nodded at this. He was an honorable changeling, if you can call any of them honorable. He does have some right to him, but he is still as corrupt as any other changeling. His hatred for the ponies of Canterlot still lurked deep within him. Ever since the first Changeling invasion's failure, he had despised them. He had sworn to their defeat. He had vowed that he would be the honored changeling to defeat the powerful Twilight Sparkle. After all, she was the reason the first invasion ended poorly for the Changelings. In all of his experience in combat, he had never faced such a foe as her. She was illusive and cunning. She also had an incredible knowledge of magic.
Scepter crossed the Changeling main courtyard and into the Royal Hall, where he would meet with Queen Chrysalis.
"Scepter, There is a call to action that is upon us. We have come into contact with a human. The council and I have devised a plan to use this human to benefit the good of the Changelings. The ponies have always been the bunch to love and adore knowledge. We think that if we can send a message to the ponies letting them know that we have this human, then we can trick them into coming here and ultimately capture them. This would render Celestia helpless. Afterwards, we could follow up with an invasion on Canterlot. I need you to deliver the message, Scepter. I am sending you undercover to Ponyville. You will find Twilight Sparkle residing in a library on the edge of town. Find her and deliver the message, general."
Just the mention of Twilight's name made Scepter giddy with excitement. He knew that vengeance would soon be served to him and the rest of the Changelings. Through him would the Changelings prevail over the enemies that he had hated so intently ever since the invasion.
"It is my honor to serve you, my queen. I shall prepare and report back to you when the message has been delivered."
After a quick dismissal, Scepter left the Royal Hall with a devious grin crossing his face. At last, this human had given him hope. This human would be the bait that would lure the ponies right to him! He could finally capture them and have them locked in the dungeons as he had always dreamed. This was his day of reckoning for all of Equestria.
