Rainbow Dash sits down at her computer desk and turns on her laptop. The weather duties she had to do she did quickly, and she had a lot of time to kill before she had to spend the afternoon with Twilight Sparkle. So she went to the internet and went to Ponytube.com to do her favorite past-time.
Bashing the fans of the show My Little Human: Friendship is Science.
Some called it hating.
Trolling.
Bullying.
Trying to get attention.
But Rainbow thought of it as doing the right thing.
Adult ponies shouldn't be liking a show made for little fillies! It just wasn't right! They should be watching more, appropriate shows for their age. You know, reality TV and such, and those adult cartoons like Family Stallion. Not this stupid, girly, idiotic crap like MLH!
Rainbow has never even watched the show, but from the pictures it looked soooo stupid, so she never thought of giving it a chance. Besides, it's just one of those filly cartoons, probably teaches you how to count and your ABCs.
And besides that, ponies masturbate to those made-up creatures! How disgusting is that?
Rainbow Dash knew that this fandom had to be destroyed, it was the cancer of the internet.
So she went to a couple of the most recent MLH videos, stopped the videos from playing by pressing pause, and went straight to the comments section.
She started replying to some of the users, calling them names.
Gay.
Human-Fags.
Cancer.
Disease.
Disgusting.
Idiots.
And every other possible name she could think of.
She sat back for a minute, and waited as all the replies from those pathetic losers rolled in. They were all pretty much the same.
Hater!
You haven't ever even watched the show have you?
Want to talk?
You don't like the show? Ok, just leave me alone.
You don't like the show? Then you're an idiot.
It's a wonderful show! Shut the fuck up!
Don't talk to me, you piece of shit!

Please stop trying to get attention.

And of course those 50-lined multi-paragraph replies that try to explain why the show is so great and whatever in detail that Rainbow Dash never bothered to read. Nothing could ever get her to stop. She would continue to hate the show no matter what.
Or would she?
She continued reading the replies, replying to a few of them, until an alarm sounded, signaling that it was time to go to Twilight's castle for a little hanging out time. She finished up her last comment, telling the pony that he was a gay fag for liking MLH, then turned off her laptop and flew to her friend.
When she got there, she was greeted by Twilight and they walked in. They sat down, and the first thing on their list was discussing the latest Daring Do books.
They discussed the plot, what they liked and disliked about it, and predictions of what will happen in the next installment.
Then they had dinner, and Rainbow gave Twilight a small flying lesson. After that they just casually talked about just about anything.
Finally, it was about time for Rainbow to head home, but Twilight stopped her.
"Hey Rainbow, do you mind staying for a bit longer?" she asked, "A new episode of one of my favorite shows is coming on in a moment. I thought we could watch it together?"
"Um, sure thing Twilight," Rainbow Dash replied, "What show is it?"
"Oh, it's a show I just found out about a few days ago," Twilight answered, "Have you ever heard about the show My Little Human: Friendship is Science?"
Rainbow froze, "Y-yes. Wait, you LIKE that show?"
"Well yes act-"
"But it's for little FILLIES!" Rainbow interrupted.
"Well, I suppose the target demographic was intended to be a younger audience," Twilight explained, "But it actually appeals to an older one as well. It actually has good animation, it's plots are well developed, it has fantastic humor, actual character development, and good morals that can be used in everyday life, regardless of age."
"B-b-but, the show is crap!" Rainbow exclaimed, "A-a-and did you know that ponies masturbate to that show? Why would you want to be in a fandom where ponies do THAT?"
"Well I guess one of those statements are correct," Twilight sighed, "There are weirdos in the fandom, true. But every fandom has weirdos. I do not like that part of any fandom, so I avoid it at all costs. Trust me, not everypony does that. But the show isn't crap. Have you watched it?" Rainbow shook her head. "Well then, how can you judge something when you haven't even experienced it? Why don't you watch this episode with me, and then perhaps a couple more, and then you can decide if the show is crap or not."
"I'd...rather not," replied Rainbow, "I'm going home."
Rainbow flew off quickly before Twilight could reply.
She sat back at her computer desk and stared blankly at the black screen of her laptop.
How could Twilight like that garbage?
She remembered what she had called those ponies on the internet. She had said that every adult pony who liked that show were all those names.
But not Twilight, Rainbow would never call her those things.
Was Rainbow wrong? Could the show actually be good? There was only one way that Rainbow Dash could find the answers.
She turned on her laptop, and searched for the first episode.
She watched it. It wasn't bad, but not great.
She watched another.
And another.
And another.
Until she watched the latest episode. No more episodes till the next week.
That...was...AWESOME!
It was clear to Rainbow now, why ponies loved the show, why they defended it so much. Everything Twilight said was true. It WAS a great show!
She went to Ponytube again, and started watching fan animations and music videos. She looked on Google Images to see fanart. She went to FISFiction.net to read fanfiction.
Not only was the show wonderful, but the fandom was as well!
Rainbow Dash leaned back and grinned. She looked at the clock. 8 o' clock in the morning. She had stayed up all night! Suddenly her eyelids drooped. Good thing there was no work that day.
So she slept.
The Following Week...
Rainbow Dash flew to Twilight's castle and knocked. Twilight answered, looking surprised.
"Rainbow? What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Just wondering if I could join you in watching the new episode of My Little Human," Rainbow answered.
Twilight's eyes widened, "I thought you hated that show."
"Eh I used to," Rainbow replied, "But that was before I watched it. You were right, I should've given a chance before judging it."
Twilight smiled, "Well, come on in, it's about to start."
