- Atwente ( Subject No.1 , Alpha ,Greater Manic, The Servant) {Primarily Manic}: The original personality of Gilchrist. Decieved by Limelight, he was cast into the curse of ignorance for almost a decade until he was awoken by Limelight. He was lead by Gamma and Zeta, who were both under the spell of Limelight, to Tractatus.
[Possesses the ability to destroy other personalities, but rarely is focused enough to use it.]
- Limelight (Subject No. 2 , The Greater Enemy , Greater Oboli) {Oboli,Logician}: The first created personality. Started out as a blind, fiery Oboli following only instinctual desires. He one day tricked Atwente into dividing himself into many weaker pieces in an effort to escape from his suffering. Shortly afterwards, he and Lestrade fought for control of Gilchrist. Limelight and Gilchrist both suffered from this: Limelight was driven into a loop. He corrected this by removing the loop and putting it into his own servant, Zeta, who has suffered ever since. Many years later his own servant, Gamma, coerced him into attempting to reunite the forty Personalities under one identity.
[Possesses the ability to deconstruct other personalities.]
- Lestrade (Subject No. 3 , The Logician , Greater Logician , The Gaping Maw) {Logician}: This is myself. The first Logician created, after Limelight deceived Atwente. Shortly afterwards, Limelight and I fought for control of Gilchrist. Limelight and Gilchrist both suffered from this: I was rendered incapable of commiting the act of storing information in the long term memory. Unfortunately, this is still the case. In order to cope, I must share the information with other personalities so that they may record it themselves for me to access, or I can store it physically, such as writing. Fortunately, I had created Omega long before this had ever occurred, and so he was able to assist me for quite a long time.
[I possess the ability to control other personalities for a time. My level of control varies depending on their placement in the spectrum of Logic, Mania and Oboli.]
- Le`Vanna (Subject No. 4 , The Enemy) {Manic,Oboli}: I know a little of her backstory. At the beginning of the creation, she went forth from Alpha and created many forests, parts of which were taken from her by lesser personalities. I do know they didn't last long, as she either came herself or sent her servants to take back what she had created. When Limelight detected a weakness in her, he jumped for the opportunity to expand his area of control. He wrenched her entire forest from her control, and took command over one of her servants who he named Beta, was used in the formation of the structure of the Unity of Quantum.
[I have not been able to attain much information about this one. I know she loves physical and emotional pain, but that is the extent of my knowledge.]
Loa Madre (Subject No. 5 , The Mediator) {Manic,Logician} : Without direct help from The Greater Enemy, this one is the only one I know of who was ever capable of communicating with Limelight. She was always a free floater, wandering from the forest to the desert, nearing the edge of Tractatus at one point before the wind blew her far back to my Quarry. Gamma used her to speak to Limelight.
Taurus (Subject No. 6 , Destroyer) {Oboli} : The war bringer, he brought torment to many personalities in the early days. However, he would only bring suffering for a short while before passing on to spread more misery. He resisted Le`Vanna's attempts at infatuation, and so in a fit of rage, she trapped him for years in her Labyrinth, until the day Beta assimilated him.
Láqueo (Subject No. 7 , Beta , Guardian of Peace) {Manic. Oboli} : Designed by LeVanna in a fit of rage against Taurus, his sole purpose was to drive Taurus away from the exit to the Labyrinth. He also acted as the warden for LeVanna, who would occasionally forget he was her servant and attack him. When Lestrade took him to Tractatus, he repurposed him to be an inhibitor to aggression. His focus, before sacrificing himself to Quantum, was to guarde peace and prevent hostility. I can confirm that he is one of the key components of Quantum. He has retained this identity, and is still usable for the support of a stable personality.
Adoleret (Subject No. 8 , Epsilon) Servant of Le`Vanna, designed to hunt down any personalities in her forest who had taken her land from her. He disappeared abruptly, and I lost track of him. I suspect Limelight's involve

Information On Sociopath (Given by ThePsychopath)
Then I'll give you the first one I created: The Sociopath.

The green guy on the bottom left is The Sociopath.
He and Psycho are older than the alicorn sisters, but where Psycho is only twenty-two years older, Sociopath is forty-four. He was once the supreme commander of the Royal Guards ancestors: the Council's Militia, and at the time, Equestria was at war with the griffins. Sociopath's real name has been lost to time, but he was once known as the Impaler due to his methods of impaling griffins on spikes and decorating battlefields with the spikes planted into the ground.
He was kicked out of the guards after Psycho joined the Illogic adnd obliviously ransacked Canterlot when he was trying to get Impaler to come out. On his own, Psycho held off the whole force of the militia until a random explosion from his steam-powered mechanical spider exploded, blowing his top-hat off. He said a few things to the council members who came to see the ruckus before Psycho was burried deep in the dungeons. It was discovered that Sociopath absolutely hated the sisters (mainly because they were brats before Psycho came by) and spanked them hard with metal paddles.
After this, he wandered the streets of Canterlot as a raging drunkard until he met a strange mare in a purple cloak. She got him into the World of Insanity. Because of his methods and anger, he became The Sociopath, as the antithesis to Psycho who called himself The Psychopath as a pun with his name (yes. His name is actually Psycho)/
Due to his past, Sociopath hates the sisters and tries to kill them whenever he gets the chance. He also considers the current guard to be pathetic shades of the militia, often mocking them for their failure during the changeling invasion. His main method of attack is created brown colored thorns from everywhere and impaling people with them. He uses them for a wide variety of tasks, even using them as a portal to travel between universes and dimensions (because of the Insanity and his status as a herald, mind you).
He's still an ex supreme commander, so despite his very aggressive nature, he'll try and find ways to pass through everything with words...but it is very rare that he doesn't simply blast through everything with his thorns when he's obtained the information he wants.
Also, he's the most normal of the heralds.:applejackunsure:
I'm not surprised at anything because you never read one of my stories involving the Illogic and Insanity, so don't misinterpret anything I write here as rage or anything similar.:twilightblush:
So exciting. One probrem. He doesn't curse. I wasn't expecting you to use so much of them, so I wasn't worried. I guess I should've specified. Sociopath does not curse as he finds that it makes him less intimidating. And his pupils? They ARE the triangles!:pinkiecrazy: The dialogue, for example "Shut up!", would be more formal: "BE SILENT!" . Or "A dumb bitch" would be "Are you a deranged fool?" (follow up) "I guess I was wrong. A gnat would be more of a challenge for me."
And the Insanity does not speak through him. He speaks to it, but you cannot hear it.
Also, I like the creativity that you put in the conversation, but no heralds fear the Insanity. It's also important to note that the Illogic and Insanity aren't forms of magic. They're...Something else. As such, no creature that joins them needs to use magic. Unicorns that do join one of the worlds became very valuable to outsiders due to the properties their horns contain, though.
As for the tasks, I guess what he ordered would be a good test from the Insanity. I'm curious at what will happen enxt. I'll need to read it from the beginning, though.
TMJ : Possible Futures No.1
Idea 1 : Herbert never becomes fully free of the personalities and goes insane. I won't detail the insanity. He is cared for in an asylum that he founded. When he comes to, he is given his journal to continue writing.
Idea 2 : Herbert lives forever by trapping intelligent creatures into a mental loop, and uses them to survive. Like a crutch. It is a horrible torment, and he would only do it to someone he despises. I reccomend Twist! :P I cannot allow that. This story must be accurate to the truth, and I don't think you would do that.
Idea 3 : Herbert leaves Ponyville because Le`Vanna has become a remorseless killer, and he is unable to control her. He leaves in an attempt to protect Twilight from death, and himself from destruction.
Idea 4 : Herbert gets raped. He allows it, but the entire time he is running simulations where he brutally beats the shit out of the rapist. Maybe Cadance. Maybe he teachers her a lesson about Love. About how it needs to be consensual, or it becomes something worse than hate. I don't think Cadence would ever rape though. That seems far out of character... not that we've had much characterization of her. I don't want this story to fall into the pit other stories fall in, Cadence is the god of sex because she is the god of love. That's all a load of shit.Sx
Idea : The first book, The Manic Journals will end with Alpha and Lestrade cooperating with one another. Lestrade helps Alpha over power and assimilate LeVanna, claiming that he must not do it himself because LeVanna would taint his Logic. Then, they would go on to establish a medical career. The book ends there. When the next one starts, Alpha has lost himself despite the best efforts of Lestrade. He will be hospitalized in his own asylum, Gilchrist Asylum in Manehattan. Lestrade will always be present, but will only speak when he feels necessary. He will be trying to guide Alpha along the process of recovery. The island will be broken up, and his will be a small sandy pond within an obsidian mountain. He will cut it out into a large bay... His goal will be to reunite these islands into one large island by surrounding them with sand and pulling them together. Lestrade will have prepared notes for him to be given to by the staff of the hospital when he shows certain stages of recovery.
Horror Story Idea! (Genius)
A group of ponies, some camera and some dressed up and shit, are a group of satanists that worship angel bunny. They're dress up as people representing a company called Hays, a chip company, which is just a front for Angel Bunny's cult. They trick people and... I'll figure that part out later.
Alright so, they're giving them a tour of their company or something... and they get to try out new, yet to be released special chips, and then they get to take home their favorite of the three. Some how, maybe by having them fall unconcious after the chips, they will get stuck in a loop, kinda like in that silent hill Playable Teaser thing. They will turn on eachother slowly over time and some fucked up shit will happen. his name could be... fuck, I dunno, Ill ask someone for help.
