//-------------------------------------------------------// In the Mind of Pinkie Pie -by iloveyouderpy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1          It was chaos inside Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie Pie stood in the middle of bakery watching Mr. and Mrs. Cake run past her, with the worried expressions painted on their faces, carrying traveling suitcases in their mouths. Next to Pinkie Pie sat the twins, Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Pumpkin Cake's horn glowed and a rubber chicken appeared out of nowhere. She put the toy in her mouth and commenced chewing on it. The yellow chicken toy let out a loud squeak every time Pumpkin bit down. Pound Cake, his small light goldish wings at his side, just sat and watched along side Pinkie Pie as his parents ran around the house like lunatics. "Have you gotten the tickets, honey bun?" Mr. Cake said coming to a stop in front of Pinkie Pie and his two children. "Oh no, where're the tickets?" Mrs. Cake asked. The Cakes began to panic even more, like that was even possible. They began scavenging every cabinet and drawer in the bakery. Pinkie Pie tried to catch the Cake's attention, but they were so caught up in their panic that they payed no attention to her. "Where are they? Where are they? Where are they?!" Mr. Cake said repeatedly as he started searching the queerest of places places, such as the refrigerator and the oven. "Mrs. Cake, I..." Pinkie Pie exclaimed as Mrs. Cake galloped passed her as if the pink pony were invisible. "Did you check in the bedroom?" Mr. Cake shouted from the kitchen. In response, a door from the  and followed by the sound hectic hoof-beats. Mr. Cake didn't wait for a response from his wife and quickly made his way upstairs into his wife and his bedroom. Pinkie Pie could still hear Mr. Cake rustling through all the drawers and closets upstairs but it was faint. Mrs. Cake could be heard talking to her self, "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear." "Mrs. Cake..." Pinkie Pie exclaimed again this time with more volume. "Not now Pinkie Pie." Mrs. Cake said with stress as she ran past her again heading up the stairs to join her husband in the bedroom. Pinkie Pie sighed. The pink pony walked over to the counter and grabbed the tickets with her mouth, and then made her way up the stairs to the Cakes' bedroom. Their door was wide open and Pinkie Pie saw them as they tore through that room like a couple of savages. The party pony pounded on the wide opened door loudly to get the Cakes' attention. It worked. The Cakes stopped what they were doing and looked over at Pinkie Pie. A smile of relief appeared on both of their faces when they noticed that she had the tickets. Mr. Cake hurried over and kindly took them from her. "Oh thank you, dearie." Mrs. Cake said with a sigh of relief. The Cake's and Pinkie Pie made their way downstairs into the bakery. Pound Cake was trying to fly up onto the ceiling. Mrs. Cake quickly grabbed him and pulled him back down to the ground. Pound Cake just giggled. "Now Pinkie Pie," Mr. Cake began, "we have full confidence that you will take great care of the store while we're out of town for the week. But just to be safe let me run things over with you again." "Oki-doki-loki" The pink party pony said with a beam. Mr. Cake waited till he was sure she was paying attention and then spoke. "While we are gone, Pinkie, you will be in charge of running the store. You'll be selling the desserts and when it comes time you'll be baking them as well. The Misses and I have already baked a number of desserts to start you off. If you are given a special order and you don't know how to make it don't just guess, use the cook book in the kitchen. Are you getting this?" "Yes indeedy." Pinkie Pie said still smiling happily at her boss. "Also remember that cupcakes are two bits, pastries are four bits, pies are six bits, and cakes are ten bits." "Don't you worry Mr. Cake," The cotton candy haired pony reassured. "Sugarcube Corner is in good hooves." Mr. Cake started to moan slightly. He didn't have confidence in Pinkie Pie and the only reason they're having her watch their shop is because everypony else was busy. There was a knock on the door. Mrs. Cake opened the door and it was a scruffy looking middle aged unicorn. On his flank was a cutie mark of a carriage. Behind him was a carriage that could fit four people. The carriage is hooked up to two strong looking stallions, both were brown. "Come on dear," Mrs. Cake said with her high pitch voice. "It's time to go." Mr. Cake let a out a long sigh. He picked up both Pound and Pumpkin Cake and gave them to their mother. Mrs. Cake took the two young ones over to the carriage. The scruffy carriage driver used his magic to take the Cake's luggage over to the carriage. Mr. Cake started to follow the driver out the door and over to the wagon. He got in with his wife and two children and closed the carriage door behind him. He poked his yellow head out the window to see that Pinkie Pie was outside waving goodbye to the Cake family. "Bye Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Bye Pound, bye Pumpkin." Pinkie Pie called out. "Oh and Pinkie Pie." Mr. Cake started. Pinkie looked at him waiting to hear what he had to say. "Please try and not eat all the desserts. Those are for the customers, plus they took a long time to make so please, please, please don't eat them." "Don't you worry Mr. Cake, like I said Sugarcube Corner is in good hooves." "Alright then, see you in a week." Said Mr. Cake and then the carriage began to move, driving away out of sight. Pinkie Pie went back inside Sugarcube Corner and it was when she got to the center of the bakery she realized something. She was alone and Sugarcube Corner was hers. The knowledge that she was in charge of running the bakery brought a smile to her face. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2         The next morning went quite slow for Pinkie Pie. She had been standing by the counter since eight that morning waiting for a customer. Gummy was no where to be seen and boredom started building up inside Pinkie Pie making her insides feel like they were knotting up. Pinkie Pie grunted loudly knowing no pony was around to hear her. "This is taking forever." Pinkie Pie mumbled to herself. "I would just leave but what if somepony comes in and I'm not here? No, the Cake's put their full confidence in me and I'm not going to let them down." Pinkie Pie stood up tall on her four legs trying to look as vigorous as possible. "But I wish I could have just one slice of that delicious, mouth watering, sweet, icing covered, cake" Pinkie complained looking desperately at white frosted cake in the display case in the counter. Her mouth became moist with saliva and her stomach began to growl. She gazed at it for a long time as if it were putting her in some kind of trance. It just looked so good. So tasty. She began to imagine herself going face first into the cake. Oh how she wished she could just pig out on that cake. Pinkie Pie shook her head. "Get a hold of yourself." Pinkie Pie said to herself, "You know you're not suppose to eat any of the desserts." Pinkie Pie glanced over at the cake again. Oh how she craved that cake. The temptation was just unbearable. "Well," Pinkie Pie said in a nervous and guilty tone, "One bite wouldn't hurt, right?" She opened up cabinet to the display case in the counter and there was a rush of cool air flowing out. Pinkie Pie slowly stuck her head in getting closer to the cake inch by inch. She slowly opened her mouth, but before she could take the tiniest bite of the cake a bell rung. Pinkie Pie quickly took her head out of the display case and looked up to find Twilight Sparkle walking into the bakery. "Hey Pinkie Pie." Twilight said approaching the counter. "Oh, hey Twilight." Pinkie said with a hint of guilt in her voice. "What are you doing here?" "Well I heard you were running the shop while the Cakes are away and I thought I come by and see how you were doing." "I'm doing super, well I wasn't very super earlier, but now I am super now that you're here." Pinkie Pie said as she jumped up and down behind the counter. "Not much happens here in the morning. I thought I was going to explode from boredom." "Well Pinkie it won't be long now till you have your hooves busy. This place gets quite crowded during lunch hour." "Oh, well maybe you'd like to stay and help me." The pink pony said. Pinkie Pie was just now realizing that it was going to be difficult working here by herself whether Sugarcube Corner gets busy or not. Her overly hyper mind can't take such degrees of boredom. Plus she is just one pony and can't do all this work by herself. She started thinking back to the first time she babysat Pound and Pumpkin and how disastrous it was for her. All because she decided she wanted to do it alone. "I'm sorry Pinkie Pie but I got tons of studying to catch up on and plus I'm not the baking type or the sales type either." "It's ok, your studies are important. I just wish I had some one to help me and keep me company." "I'm sure you'll be fine Pinkie." the lavender pony said. "I hope so, the Cakes really trust me and I don't want to let them down." "You won't." Twilight said. There was a long pause between the two ponies until Twilight spoke up again. "Well, I better be going. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but if I don't get my studying done now it'll never get done." "I understand." Pinkie Pie said happy with the little time she got to shed with Twilight. "I'll stop by later once I finish my studies." The unicorn said as she made her way out the door. "See you later alligator." Pinkie said and at that very moment Gummy poked his little head out of the dirt of a potted plant by the door. Gummy let out a croak and Pinkie Pie giggled lightly.         Lunch hour came and Twilight was right. Ponies came rushing in and flooded Pinkie Pie with their orders. It was so overwhelming that Pinkie Pie had to yell at everypony to get in a single file line. They did as she told them and began taking and filling their orders one by one. So many wanted cake. The cake Pinkie Pie had her eye on all morning and before she knew it it was gone.         Gummy sat up on top of the counter, with a miniature chefs hat on his head, watching the the customers come and go with that strangely funny blank stare. At one point Gummy jumped and latched onto one of the customer's head when he approached the counter. Pinkie Pie had to put Gummy up in her room so he wouldn't cause anymore trouble. By the time lunch hour ended all the desserts in the display case were gone. Pinkie Pie sat down and let out a sigh of great relief. The hard part was over, but now there were no more baked goods in the display case. After taking a moment to breath Pinkie Pie got up and headed towards the kitchen to refill the display case. She made her way through the double push open doors to find a room filled with all sorts of desserts. It was the most amazing thing Pinkie Pie ever laid her eyes on. There was chocolate cakes, carrot cakes, chocolate chip muffins, blue berry muffins, raspberry muffins, pumpkin pies, chocolate pies, apple pies, many bowls of chocolate moose, buckets of ice cream, pastries, and so, so, so much more. Once Pinkie Pie saw this sugary wonderland she lost all control. The pink pony dashed over to the chocolate cakes and began eating each one of them with great speed. Cake crumbs covered the floor as she dug her face into the cake. Once those were gone she ran over to the chocolate chip muffins and literally ate all of them in one big bite. It was madness. She was eating every single dessert in the kitchen like some kind of eating machine. She made her way through the eclairs with in a matter of seconds.          Later that day Twilight Sparkle returned to Sugarcube Corner, as promised, only to find that Pinkie Pie was not behind the counter. "Pinkie Pie." Twilight called out. There was no reply. Twilight began searching the house, starting upstairs. She checked both Pinkie Pie's room and the Cake's room but the party pony was not in either one of them. She went downstairs and made her way to the kitchen Maybe she's baking some more sweets Twilight thought to herself. She went through the double push open doors to discover what looked to be a massacre. Crumbs and shattered glass from plates and bowls covered the floor. And in the center of the kitchen laid Pinkie Pie, on her back, eyes closed, and covered in chocolate and crumbs. "Pinkie Pie" Twilight called out, but her friend didn't speak or move. She just laid their as if she were sleeping. Twilight rushed over to Pinkie Pie and placed her ear on her chest. She wasn't breathing. "Oh my gosh." Twilight whispered to herself. The lavender began preforming CPR on Pinkie Pie. She pushed her hooves down on her stomach multiple times until Pinkie Pie coughed up an unchewed muffin. Pinkie Pie was now breathing and was then taken to the hospital. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Pinkie Pie woke up. Her vision was blurry but after about thirty seconds everything was clear again. The ground, it was pink and smelled sweet. Pinkie Pie kept her head facing the ground as she lightly stuck her tongue to taste the pink ground. Pinkie Pie jumped up suddenly from the ground with sheer delight. "Cotton candy." She squealed and began eating at the cotton candy ground. She let the fluffy sweetness melt in her mouth, savoring every last bit of its tasty goodness. And before she could take another bite of the ground she saw, not far from where she stood, a chocolate milk water fall. The water fall fell down the side of a mountain and into a long river which seemed to stretch on forever. Past the river there candy canes and lollipops the size of trees all spread apart from each other. Pinkie Pie let out a very loud joyful squeal and then dashed over to the chocolate river. She jumped right in. She swam through it taking in giant gulps of its chocolaty liquids. After a while she stopped and took a moment to just float there. She gazed upon the scenery before her. The sky was perfectly blue, the mountain which contained the waterfall stood very tall, the cotton candy field just on the other side of the chocolate milk river from the candy cane and lollipop forest. The rocks were made of gumdrops and the air smelled of candy. Where am I? She thought to herself. How did I get here? But these thoughts were soon interrupted when something scaly brushed against Pinkie Pie's legs. She shrieked in horror and quickly swam over to the shore, quickly getting herself out of the chocolate milk river. She turned around and watched as the creature emerged from the chocolate milk river. It was an alligator. An alligator that looked like gummy. "Gummy?" Pinkie Pie said with confusion and just then a dozen more Gummy-like alligators emerged from river. They all had no teeth and also gave blank, emotionless stares. Pinkie Pie was starting to believe she was either dreaming or going insane, but whatever was happening she liked it. It was like some kind of Pinkie paradise. One of the Gummies let out a loud croaking sound. For the rest of the day Pinkie Pie played with all the Gummies in the chocolate milk river. The sun eventually set and the moon finally rose. Apparently day and night was included in this fantasy land, yet Pinkie Pie didn't feel tired at all. She still had the energy to play some more. But all the Gummies left the scene and disappeared into the chocolate milk. The moon was bright enough for Pinkie to see very clearly through the night. She looked up into the night sky and looked upon millions of twinkling stars. Shooting stars constantly zoomed through the starry night and in the near center of the sky was giant spiral galaxy made up of purple and white and blue. What a site it was. For the first moment in Pinkie's life she felt like lying down. Not to sleep, but to look at the galaxy rotate slowly above her and the shooting starts zip on by it. She breathed. Pinkie Pie never knew what it felt like to be relaxed. Maybe it was the night or something putting her under some kind of spell. No one knows. But Pinkie enjoyed every last second of it. Twilight was pacing back and forth in the waiting room of the Ponyville Hospital. She had been here for nearly an hour and grew worried about Pinkie Pie. Every once in a while Twilight would stop and look over at the clock on the other side of the room and then would go back to pacing. It was the only thing she could do. There was a voice which said Twilight's name. Twilight turned around to see the hospital's lead doctor wearing a white coat and a stethoscope around his neck. "Oh doctor," Twilight said in a worried voice, "How is she? Is she alright?" "It's hard to say, her blood sugar has sky rocketed, most likely from eating all those desserts you said she ate, slipping her into a coma." "A coma?" Twilight asked to make sure she was hearing this right. She was so shocked and frightened by this sudden news. "I'm afraid so." The doctor said. "We currently have her stabilized and should be just fine." Twilight was relieved to hear those words. "So, how long will she be in the coma?" She asked the doctor. "We can't tell, only time can tell." The doctor began explaining. "It could be a couple of days or maybe a couple years. I'm sorry for giving you such news but if it's any contribution she's going to be fine." "Thank you doctor." Twilight said and then left the hospital to go tell the rest of the group about what happened to Pinkie Pie. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4         Pinkie Pie pranced through the candy cane and lollipop forest. The sun had risen about an hour ago and curiosity of what might be beyond the forest got the best of her. On her journey she saw many small critters such as butterflies and little bunnies. This made Pinkie Pie wish Fluttershy were there. She wished all her friends could be there with her, and for a moment she felt lonely. Pinkie Pie began to feel depressed. She felt lonely and empty inside. Such a wonderful place with unlimited amount of possibilities and there was no pony to share it with. Pinkie Pie stopped prancing and started going into a slow walk. Her head lowered and a tear fell from her eye. Pinkie Pie soon began to notice that as she walked further into the forest the darker it got. She lifted up her head and saw that the trees were no longer candy, but just regular trees. In fact it looked a lot like the Everfree Forest back in Ponyville. The tree branches hung low and the ground was covered in a variety of dead plants which crackled when Pinkie Pie stepped on them. The deeper Pinkie Pie went into the forest the scarier and creepier it got. Bushes off the side of the path rustled and twigs snapped and echoed into the air. It was as if something or somepony was following Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie was hardly able to walk due to the amount of fear feeding on the inside of her body. But she continued on and the fear only got larger as time went on. More and more scary things began to happen to Pinkie Pie as she moved on through the forest which she was starting to believe was the Everfree Forest. She started to hear familiar whispering voices. Pinkie Pie The voices whispered and they repeated this. Pinkie Pie, Pinkie Pie, Pinkie Pie. Tears of fear and loneliness flowed down her face. We want to play with you Pinkie Pie "Please leave me alone." Pinkie whimpered. Why Pinkie Pie, we love you, we just want you to be with us. "Please leave me. I just want to go home." Come join us. Come play with us. Be with us. Stay with us forever and ever and... "You're not real, you're not real, you're not real." ...ever and ever and ever and... Pinkie Pie let out a loud high pitch scream that drowned out the voices and she continued this scream until she was out of breath in her lungs. It was quiet. The voices were silent and the noises in the bushes silenced as well. Pinkie Pie was panting rapidly and her heart raced with great pressure and speed. Come and play Pinkie Pie Pinkie Pie let out another shriek and took off as fast as she could through the forest. The voices laughed and it echoed through no only the forest but also her mind. The pink party pony ran until she felt like her heart was going to explode and even then she continued sprinting at full speed. Up ahead there was a small dim light. Pinkie's heart brightened and grew evermore excited as she got closer and closer to the light. Come to us Pinkie Pie Pinkie Pie payed no attention to what the voices were saying. The path lead her out of the forest and went onto what looked like a party. Pinkie Pie stopped dead in her tracks. There were black and red balloons, tables with black tablecloths and in the center of the table there was a large cake. Behind the small park was a cottage and above the door of the cottage hung a banner that read "Welcome Pinkie Pie". Pinkie Pie didn't know whether or not to be happy or scared for the way the party was set up sent chills down Pinkie's spine. The voices had stopped, at least for now. Pinkie Pie began exploring the park. She went up to the door to the cottage and politely knocked on it with her fore hoof. "Hello?" Pinkie Pie said. "Is anyone home? Oh, please answer the door, I'm lost. Please." The last "please" was in a whimper.  Her eyes started water. Welcome Pinkie Pie "SURPRISE!" A chorus of voices yelled from behind Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie jumped with sheer shock. She turned around and there stood Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack. The groups manes were all messed up, the teeth that were shone in their demented smiles were all crooked, and their eyes seemed to wonder in different directions. They looked as if they were having some kind of mental breakdown. "Oh girls." Pinkie Pie said. She ran up and grouped them all together for a large hug. They didn't hug back though and their smiles didn't go away or change at all either. "You do't know how happy I am to see you." Pinkie Pie was smiling as she held onto them tight. "We missed you too." Twilight said. "We love you Pinkie Pie." Rainbow Dash said. "So..." Pinkie said awkwardly, moving back away from the group with great nervousness. "What with all the party decorations?" "Why, it's your surprise party." Applejack said, her smile growing larger. "But you can't attend your own party looking like that." Rarity said as she moved closer to Pinkie Pie. "Come and we'll get you ready." She lead Pinkie Pie inside the cottage. It was pitch black inside but that soon changed once Rarity turned on the lights. It was very run down inside. Dust covered the air, spiderwebs hung just about everywhere, and at the far end of the room there was a dust covered full body mirror. "I'll be with in just a minute darling and she wandered off into a dark corner and disappeared in it. Pinkie Pie tried opening the door but it was locked. Over here Pinkie Pinkie Pie turned around and looked over at the mirror. "Hello?" Pinkie called out. There was a long silence till the voice spoke again. Come here Pinkie Pinkie Pie slowly approached the mirror. When at the mirror she used her forehoof to wipe away the dust. Pinkie Pie stared at herself. But the Pinkie Pie in the mirror wasn't the same in reality, if all this was real. The Pinkie Pie in the mirror's hair was straightened, her eyes went off into different directions, and she had a demonic smile similar to the one Pinkie's friends had. Pinkie Pie moved and the image portrayed in the mirror did the same. Was this real? It couldn't be, this just impossible. "Sure it's impossible." The Pinkie in the mirror said, "But that doesn't mean it isn't real. Pinkie Pie's heart was racing at what felt like the speed of light. "What's going on?" the real Pinkie Pie said. The insane pony in the mirror began to giggle hysterically. "Are you ready?" Came a voice behind Pinkie Pie. She jumped and turned around in mid air. It was Rarity, in her hoof was a large butcher knife. "Get away from me." Pinkie Pie said. She took off to the door and began to try open it with sheer desperation. She turned around and saw Rarity start to slowly approach her. Behind Rarity the insane Pinkie Pie stepped of the mirror and also started to approach the terrified Pinkie Pie. They both laughed hysterically. Pinkie Pie started to use her hind legs to buck at the door. She kicked as hard she could at the door making a loud echoing bang. The two insane ponies drew closer and closer. The door burst open and beyond it was sheer blackness and without thinking Pinkie Pie ran into oblivion. The two ponies' laugh echoed all around Pinkie Pie and they were joined by the insane laughs of the rest of the group. Tears flew from Pinkie Pie's eyes as she ran. She ran and kept on running, her eyes closed, not knowing where she was going nor cared. Anywhere but there. Anywhere else. The laughs silenced and Pinkie Pie stopped running. She opened her eyes to find herself back in the Everfree Forest. She fell to the ground and burst into tears. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5         A glowing yellow light shined in the dark forest. Pinkie Pie looked up and saw that it was the path. She turned her and saw the other direction wasn't glowing. It was as if this whole world wanted her to follow it. Pinkie Pie got up, completely mystified by the glowing path. She followed. She followed it through the forest and also in and out of a dark cave, but she hardly noticed the cave for she was so overtaken by this path. Everything around her was beginning to fade, including the path. She snapped out of the trance and began to panic. "What's going on?" She said aloud. She tried to run back the way she came but that didn't help. Everything faded away into nothingness. All around her was a bright white background that seemed to go off into infinity. "No, no, no." Pinkie Pie cried. Tears flowed down her face. "I just want to go home. I want my friends." "SURPRISE!" Said a chorus of voices, similar to that at the park. Pinkie screamed in terror and turned to see Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. They were all normal. They all wore party hats that matched their cutie marks, all except Rainbow Dash. This seemed so familiar. Just then the white background turned into the inside of Applejack's barn. The beams were all dressed in banners and streamers, balloons were placed in groups randomly, and cake was placed on a table off to the side of the barn. "I really thought she'd be more excited" said Fluttershy. Pinkie Pie began to remember this event. It was her birthday party a year ago. She turned around and saw herself with straighten pink hair looking mad. Next to her was Rainbow Dash who was panting with exhaustion after having to force Pinkie Pie to go to the barn for her surprise party. On the other side of Pinkie Pie was Gummy. Pinkie Pie's, the real one, eyes began to tear up. "Excited?" The angry Pinkie Pie said in anger and frustration. "Excited? Why would I be excited to attend my own farewell party?" Pinkie Pie couldn't believe how much of a jerk she had been to her friends after they went through that trouble to throw a surprise birthday party for her. She couldn't believe she thought they were going to kick her out of the group. She laughed slightly at the idea of them doing such a thing. She continued to watch the scene. After her past self was done yelling at her friends they began the party. Past Pinkie Pie's hair was back to it's naturally poofy self and she and all her friends began dancing and playing. This was one of the most happiest days of Pinkie Pie's life. Oh how she missed them so much. Soon it all faded, but it didn't fade back into nothing it faded into another scene. She was now on a hill top. It was night time and everypony, not just her friends, were around. It was the night she and everypony watched the meteor shower. In the night sky hundreds of shooting stars shot by and all the ponies oohed and awed at the spectacular show sky put on for them. This scene didn't last long and faded into yet another event. These switches of event of her and her friends went on for quite some time. There were quite a lot of them and every single one of them made Pinkie Pie's heart ache with sadness and happiness. After many joyful reenactments of special moments she had with her friends the scenes started going back much further. In fact they were of her childhood at the rock farm just outside of Ponyville. She re-saw the sonic rainboom burst in the middle of the sky. She watched filly self smile fore the first time. She re-watched the first party she ever threw, and she even saw herself get her cutie mark. The scene faded once again, just like the many other times, but this next event wasn't a memory. Pinkie Pie saw all her best friends gathered around her, including spike and Gummy. This vision was different because she wasn't in it personally. It was like she was looking at some kind of moving picture. Her friends all had smiles on their face, except Gummy of course. These smiles had both happiness and sadness. Mostly happiness. "Hey Pinkie Pie." Twilight Sparkle said. "Hello everypony." Pinkie said with joy and heart brokenness. "Hey Twilight," Rainbow Dash spoke. "I heard that even though somepony's asleep that they can sometimes hear you. Or at least dream about what they hear." "I highly doubt it." Twilight said. "Well, just in case. Get better soon Pinkie Pie, we can't wait to see you when you wake up." "Get well soon." Applejack spoke. The rest of the group all said get better soon in all sorts of ways and then the vision ended and she was back in the woods. The woods were the same as before but for some reason they were less scary. Her mind was focused of those scenes. Those visions. Those memories. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6         Pinkie Pie continued walking through the dark woods on the path. It wasn't glowing green anymore and nothing too odd happened while walking. As she walked she thought about her life, family and friends. The many good times she's had. Up ahead, in the distance, there was a bright light. Pinkie Pie stayed calm and continued walking at the same speed. She got closer and closer to it and once she was past it she realized she was out of the woods. Her eyes were introduced to a long stretch of grassy hills that went on for miles. The sky was clear and birds soared through a gentle breeze that made the grass in the field look like waves. Pinkie spent, what felt like, hours walking down the path that stretch across the hills. She came to the top of one of the hills and just about three miles there was a stone castle. The stone castle was large and had a fortress surrounding it. The fortress had a big wooden bridge which was up, blocking up the fortress. The pink pony went on walking down the path, which led down the hill and ended at the caste. As she began getting close to the mote the bridge began slowly lowering. By time she got to it the bridge was completely down and she was able to walk across. The castle was larger up close. It's stone walls were covered in green vines and a lot of the stones were either chipped or missing. Pinkie Pie came to a halt in front of the castle's giant double wooden doors. At eye level there were two large knockers that looked like Gummy's head. In the mouth of the Gummy knockers there were big iron handles. Pinkie Pie grabbed the handles and banged them against the door. The bangs echoed and slightly vibrate Pinkie's body. The doors roared slowly open all on their own leading into sheer darkness. Pinkie Pie took a deep breath and began making her way in. The doors closed behind her making her nearly jump out of her skin. Torches automatically burst into flames lighting up a long hallway. There was a long red rug that extended all the way down the hall. It was cold in the hall and the sound of clocks ticking echoed. Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock! The pink cotton candy haired pony walked down the hall. The ticking of the clocks grew louder and for a moment Pinkie Pie thought she heard two young ponies crying n. Pinkie passed many wooded doors and picture frames of ponies she's known in her life. Her mom, her dad, her sister, her friends. Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock! The hall seemed to go on into eternity. She couldn't see any end or turn or anything, just more doors and portraits of ponies. So Pinkie Pie decided to just try a door. She went over to the door that was closest to her and opened it. It was unlocked and opened with a large creaking noise. Inside was a fancy, old bedroom. Everything was covered in dust and the light was quite poor. She made her way inside the bedroom. There was a shelf of dolls on the right side of the room, which was also the darkest side of the room. A shadow past through the light coming from the door. Pinkie turned around to see the end of a purple tale with two pink and light purple stripes. "Twilight?" Pinkie called out. She ran out of the room back into the hallway. There she saw Twilight go through another door just four or five doors down. "Twilight wait." The pink pony ran to the door, which was now closed, and quickly made her way through it. Behind the door was another bedroom and at the other end of the room was Twilight facing the wall sniffling. "Twilight?" Pinkie Pie said again. The crying pony turned around to look at Pinkie Pie. "Why Pinkie?" She said with great struggle. "Why'd you leave us?" "I didn't mean too, I don't know how I got here." "We loved you Pinkie and you just left us here alone." Pinkie Pie went up to Twilight and tried to hug her but she went right through her and Twilight vanished into the air in a thin line of smoke. Tears watered up her eyes as she began to cry. "What's wrong Pinkie Pie?" Came a voice from behind her. "Your friend disappear?" The voice then chuckled demonically. Pinkie Pie turned around and standing by the door was the insane Pinkie Pie from the party. Fear struck Pinkie's heart. Her every nerve began quivering and her teeth began to lightly chatter. "You scared Pinkie?" The insane pony said with a giggle. "Well you should be, this is your mind isn't it?" "My...my mind?" Pinkie Pie said confused and terrified. "Yes Pinkie Pie, it's all in your head." "So, this isn't real?" "Oh no, it's real alright. Just a different kind of reality. Your reality." The insane pink pony's eyes drifted off in different directions as she laughed hysterically. "And once you're out of the way I'll be the one who gets possess this body. I'll be free from this retched place." The crazy pink pony lunged at Pinkie Pie, but Pinkie Pie was able to dodge her and run out of the room and down the hall. TICK! TOCK! TICK! TOCK! The clock's ticking were now roaring loud and the noise was starting to hurt Pinkie's ear drums. She went into a random room and closed the door behind her. She was in what looked to be a nursery. At one end of the room there was a crib, the walls were colored in blue and all on the floor there were baby toys. In the back of the room there was a full body mirror. Kinda like the one back a the cottage. Pinkie Pie walked over to the crib and looked inside to see two baby ponies. It was Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Their eyes were opened and stared at Pinkie Pie. And then the worst thing possible thing happened. The babies started to cry.  Their cry was loud, louder than even the ticking of the clocks out in the hall. Pinkie Pie began to try shushing the babies but they only got louder and louder. The door creaked open and the insane Pinkie Pie poked her head in. A wicked, demon like smile was painted on her messed up face. "Pinkie Pie? You in here darling?" She said. Pinkie Pie let out a loud high pitch scream. She backed up against the mirror, trying to get as faraway from her crazy self as possible. The insane Pinkie drew closer to Pinkie Pie. She got right up in Pinkie Pie's face and then licked the tears off Pinkie's cheek. "Tears of fear." She said and chuckled wildly. She looked up and then the crazy Pinkie Pie gained a face of terror. She galloped quickly out of the room and disappeared. For a moment Pinkie Pie was confused. She turned around and looked at the mirror and then thought for a moment. "She's afraid of the mirror." She said to herself. She quickly made her way into another room and started searching dresser drawers for a hand held mirror. She found one quickly in the first room she tried. She picked it up with her mouth and carried it around with her as she continued searching the castle. Eventually the hall came to an end and she was introduced to a large open room with a fancy, staircase that split of into two directions. Pinkie Pie walked up the stairs. The stairs brought her to another hallway but this hall was much shorter than the one Pinkie Pie went down just a minute ago. The sound of insane laughter echoed through hall and seemed to move from one ear and out the other, passing through her brain. "Pinkie Pie." She continued down the call, the voice calling her name in the very depths of her mind. There was a door slightly open just ahead. She went through it. Behind it was a completely empty room. She stepped inside and the door slammed shut behind her. A large ring of fire surrounded the room. "You can't defeat me Pinkie." Came a voice. Pinkie turned and saw her insane self standing by the flames giving the illusion that she was glowing with darkness. "You will join the land of the damned and I will set free." Pinkie grabbed the mirror out of her mouth and showed it up at the crazy pony. She closed her eyes in fear, hoping the mirror would save her. The mirror was smacked out of her hand. It hit the ground and cracked. It didn't shatter, it just cracked. The insane Pinkie Pie grabbed the regular Pinkie Pie by the throat and lifted her off the ground. "Sweet dreams." All of a sudden Pinkie Pie was let go and she fell to the ground coughing and choking. She looked up and saw a giant shadow like hand coming out of the mirror and in its grasps pulling her towards the hand held mirror. The insane Pinkie Pie started screaming. "No, no, no!" She was on the ground being dragged towards the mirror. She started grinding her hooves against the wooden floor making two large scratch marks. Half her body was in the mirror as held on to the floor. "Please, help me." Pinkie Pie walked up to her with a scared look. She didn't know what to do. Should she save her or ignore her? But before she could make a decision the insane murderous pony grabbed Pinkie Pie's foreleg and pulled her into the mirror along with her.
