"Twilight?"

"Yes Dead?"

"Don't leave me, I don't want to be alone."

"I will have to leave at some point, but I can come back."

"Yes, I changed my mind. I want you to come back. I don't want to be alone."

"You don't have to be alone Dead, you never have to be alone."

"T-Thank you Twilight, I-I would like that, a lot."

"Its okay Dead, I would be more then happy to come back."

"W-W-What I said earlier, I was joking. I was just being silly."

"Its okay Dead, don't worry about it. As far as I know it never happened."

Dead's dreamscape was a long beach, the sun was setting on the horizon and Dead was sat down next to a small sandcastle. The one thing Dead never really got to do was go to a beach, in her dreams the sand was smooth and warming. Dead sighed happily as her head dropped to the floor. It was perfect, yet Dead felt odd a strange feeling made her stomach churn. Dead sighed as she rose to her hoofs, the beach started to fade and soon Dead was suspended in darkness.

"Is something troubling you?" A voice echoed. Dead perked up and tried to find the source of the voice, Dead sighed after a brief search turned up nothing.

"Luna, is that you?" Dead asked the nothingness.

"No, it is not. Now I ask a second time, is something troubling you?" The voice boomed loudly.

"Yes, something is troubling me. Now can you please leave." Dead huffed as she tried to turn away.

"No, now tell me. What is bothering you my little necromancer?" The said more calmly.

"I am... Not me." Dead sighed.

"Excuse me?" The voice said sounding taken back.

"I am not Dead, I am just some personality in her body."

"You are Dead. Nothing can change that." The voice echoed.

"I'm just something that took over when she was bad! I'm not Dead, I'm just a personality. I'm nothing more then a fragment, a fragment that has been forced into place."

"You are Dead. Nothing will change that." The voice echoed again.

"I am not Dead. I am just... Nothing..."

"You are not nothing, you exist because you have a purpose. A purpose that you need to fulfill. You are Dead, just as much as she is Dead." The voice echoed loudly. "You are Dead. Nothing will ever change that, nothing will ever make it incorrect and nothing you can do will stop it."

"I am nothing. I..."

"And who is to say that you were created by an outside source?" The voice shouted. "Your sub-consonance could have created you just as much as I could have. You seem intent on putting yourself down."

"I..."

"Tell me, who are you?"

"..."

"You seem so confused. You are lost."

"No, I know who I am. I am just not important. I don't know why you seem to care so much about me."

"You play a larger roll in the world then you think. You, not her but you. You exist because you must, and no matter what you say. You are Dead."

"Hey Twilight I don't recall ever telling you how I became immortal. Have you heard the story?" Younger Dead asked Twilight. The two separated no too long ago and younger Dead was more stable.

"You killed a lich right? I read it in a book sent over from the crystal empire." Twilight said happily.

"Yes I did. But the book only says so much, mainly because the poor watcher got impaled. I take it that it got up to the bit where I fired a penultimate skull bolt at the lich?" Younger Dead said happily.

"The book described it as a big while bolt, or something along the lines of that. I can't really remember it." Twilight sighed. "Not like me to forget something like that..."

"Anyway!" Younger Dead said happily. "I fired the penultimate attack at the lich, it flew a few feet back but quickly returned to attacking me..."

I was already on edge from its previous engagement and I didn't really want to take any chances. I swiftly jumped to and fro in order to dodge its ice lances. The cold wind picked up as the Lich summoned a large amount of power. I shock my head, go figure to lich would be worrying over me.

The icy landscape of this strange area only seemed to give the lich an advantage. I considered running, it wouldn't take long for the lich to gain the upper hoof. Yet I felt compelled to fight it. I summoned a few skeletons to aid me during the fight, they were crudely summoned and would not last very long in the heat of battle. They served their purpose, the lich had to focus on them before it could deal with me. I built up my strength the the skeletons tormented it. I fired another huge bolt of energy at the lich I flew back and landed on its back. I turned my attention to the jar which contained its essence.

I threw my hoofs on the jar and attempted to crush it, the bone inlay dug into the hoofs and caused me to draw blood. The lich turned and charged at me, ignoring my skeletons who were attacking it. I stomped a second and heard a cracking noise. I felt the cold skeletal grip of the lich creeping up on me, I stomped again and the jar broke.

The lich cried out in pain as its skeleton dropped down onto the ground. Its energy formed a small black orb that was cold to the touch. I picked it and it dripped a few drops of a black inky like substance. I honestly don't know what I was thinking, but I thought it would be a good idea to eat the orb. I placed it in my mouth and bite down. It was spongy, tasted slightly bitter and yet at the same time I craved more of it. It was a shame that it was the last lich alive that we know of.

I blacked out, and when I awoke I was the edge of the boundary of the snow planes.

"And that is a jist of it." Younger Dead smiled.

"Hm, I can't imagine something like that was easy." Twilight said happily.

"I was slightly worried at points, but once I got into the swig of it, I was confident I would win. And for what I gathered shortly after I killed the lich they started building the crystal empire." Younger Dead chuckled. "I guess Cadance can thank me, if I didn't kill that lich she wouldn't have her kingdom."

"I guess so, but if it was that much of a problem wouldn't Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have done something about it?" Twilight curiously asked.

"I guess so, but they would never have killed it. Just turned it into to stone banish it to Pluto." Younger Dead chuckled. "Pluto was a planet." Suddenly a lush green field formed below to the pair and they gently dropped down. Younger Dead didn't get up, she rolled on the ground.

"Hey Dead, can I ask you a question?" Twilight asked as she sat down next to younger Dead.

"Sure, go ahead." Younger Dead chirped.

"I don't really know how to word this properly. But if you're Dead then who is the other Dead?" Twilight asked curiously.

"She is me, she is Dead. She thinks that she is some other pony, but she is as much of me as I am of her." Younger Dead started. "A delayed case of schizophrenia."

"Delayed?" Twilight puzzled.

"Yes, delayed. I don't know how it happened but it did. One day she was in command. She follows all the symptoms, we share our memories and I can see what she sees. When she is awake of course... However she doesn't believe herself to be Dead. A side effect of her schizophrenia." Younger Dead sighed.

"Is that why she was shouted when I was entering the dream?" Twilight asked.

"No that was me, I was being myself... I sometimes provoke her." Younger Dead sighed.

"I see..." Twilight said started. However the young Dead latched onto her and hugged her. "Dead?"

"Don't go! Please, I won't do it again!" Younger Dead pleaded.

"Dead are you alright?" Twilight paused for a moment and the younger Dead detached herself. "What was that about?"

"Sorry... I guess I was worried you were going to leave me." Younger Dead sighed. "I worry that you will see me as some evil pony and leave..."

"If I was going to leave I would tell you. And I would promise to come back." Twilight said calmly. "And just in case Dead suddenly wakes up, I promise I will come back."

"Thanks Twilight, it means a lot. Anyway Twilight, I think we could be great friends! I will try to calm down my psychotic mood swings, but no promises." Younger Dead chuckled.

"Alright..."

"So Twilight is inside her dreams. I wonder what she dreams of?" Rarity asked the small group of ponies who were dating the necromancer. "Lets hope she doesn't do any permanent damage to Dead." Rarity chuckled slightly.

"Damage that hasn't already been done?" Rainbow let out a hearty chuckled.

"You know if anything bad happens to her its your fault." Rarity sighed. "How exactly were you able to nearly put Dead into a coma?"

"Well from what Spike told me a few minutes ago, Dead had exhausted herself to the point where she nearly fell into a coma." Rainbow sighed. "Its scary because I thought she slept for a long time back at that old castle." Rainbow huffed slightly. "How much sleep can one mare need."

"Well I don't know about you two, but if I was doing what she was doing... I would be tired." Ditzy sighed. "We really need to be careful around her. We don't want to kill her."

"That would be one heck of a way to go though..." Rainbow said while day dreaming.

"Now now Rainbow, maybe later..." Rarity sighed.

"Why not? I mean we are all marefriends, and Dead has seen to us personally... One of the things I was told to was to make sure to include you two." Rainbow said smugly. "Dead can catch up when she wakes up and has the energy. But I wont force anything."

"I guess we could..."

"Its not like we haven't done it before..."

"Whats the worst that can happen?"

"Lets go to my house, that way we can be in private! But lets try and not make a mess."

"So Dead, what do you think they are up to now?" Twilight asked.

"If I had to guess, judging that they would all be together talking about me... Yep..." Young Dead chuckled happily.

"Oh! You think that they are..." Twilight said sounding surprised.

"Yep, definitely. In fact I would bet a hundred bits on the matter." Young Dead said confidently.

"Wow you are that certain?" Twilight exclaimed.

"Yep, that certain. And I would also bet they would be doing it at Rarity's since its not near any houses." Young Dead's chuckle turned into a full blown laughter.

"And you know all this just from observing them?" Twilight probed, looking for an answer.

"Yeah, where Dead has been in control I have had to watch. I have learnt to be able to tell what ponies are like by reading body language." Young Dead said proudly.

"I see..." Twilight took mental note to be careful around Dead.

"If you want I could show you exactly what they are doing, if you want..."

"No... I think I will pass for now..." Twilight said as she blushed slightly. "But you could tell me a bit more about yourself."

"Well I skip the traumatic foalhood and jump to when Grim picked me up a few years later..."
