Dead sighed as she reentered Ditzy's house. The door was unlocked so she assumed that somepony was home. "Hello? Anypony home?" Dead shouted. No reply. "Ditzy? Are you home?" No reply again. Dead sighed and walked towards the front room, the curtains were drawn so that the normally bright main room was a lot darker then normal. Dead's eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness, she scanned the room in an attempt to locate anypony in the room.

Dead turned suddenly when the sound of hoofs echoed behind her. She saw a glimpse of a pony run out the door. Dead sighed and quickly used her horn to light up the room. Suddenly, the candles that were normally lit during the evening slowly sparked to life, one by one. Dead dimmed her horn and the candles slowly started to glow brighter. Dead focus on the room around her, she scanned for any magic however she failed to find anything except the weak magic that lit the candles. Dead retreated back to the doorway, however when she tried to open the door the emergency lock had been locked. Without a master key Dead was stuck in the creepy house. Dead heard movement coming from the kitchen, she gingerly walked over to the doorway and slowly pushed the door open.

"Hiya!" A small foal called out as Dead opened the door.

"ARGHHH!" Dead overacted and slammed the door shut, her breath was heavy and she took a moment to figure out what had just happened. Wait... Was that a foal? Dead questioned herself. Dead slowly opened the door a second time. "W-Who's there?"

"Dinky!" The young filly cheered. Dead pushed the door open further, unlike the main room the kitchen was well lit. The curtains were open and light was beaming in. It took Dead a few moments, but it registered.

"Hey Dinky, I'm Dead." Dead said as happily as she could, but she still sounded scared. "I take it that was you setting the candles up in the main room?"

"Yup!" Dinky said happily as she got up and walked into the front room. "Did it scare you?" The foal asked happily.

Dead really, really wanted to say no, but Dinky seemed a bit too happy at her accomplishment, Dead opted against crushing the spirit of a foal. "I will not lie, I was a tad bit scared." Dead admitted. Dink seemed overjoyed by this and happily hopped onto the sofa.

"I knew it!" Dinky cheered. "Mum said it might scare you a bit."

"Hm, and what else did she say about me?" Dead harmlessly inquired.

"Stuff..." Dinky awkwardly replied. If Ditzy had told her anything else, Dead wasn't going to find out this way.

"Alright then... So what are you doing here alone?" Dead pushed the question slightly, implying that she wanted an answer.

"I wasn't alone, Mum was in a moment ago. She said you would be in after she left, and you were." Dinky happily said as she started to bounce up and down on the sofa. "I just got back from Canterlot!"

"Oh really, what were you doing there?" Dead asked as she sat next to the bouncing filly.

"Well we were touring the school for gifted unicorns, and Canterlot guardians again. Unlike last time Discord didn't get out so it was kind of boring..."

"Discord... That is a name I haven't heard in a long time..." Dead drifted into though as Dinky started rambling about her time in Canterlot.

I sighed, I really didn't think things could get worse. But they did. My skeletons were is chaos, arms on heads. Foots in spines and femurs stuck in rib cages. I don't really have any idea what went wrong, one moment everything was fine. The next, my skeletons ere everywhere and molding and melting.

I scanned the nearby area for magic. There was a lot of it, I tracked it over to nearby tree and promptly blasted it into tiny splinters. The source of the magic flew into another tree that soon met a splintery death. As the magic darted back and forth I started to grow tired. I gave the order for one of my still intact skeletons to grab onto the magic as it flew over. I destroyed the tree the magic was hiding in and once again it flew out, only to be caught and dragged down to the ground by one of my skeletons.

I hastily walked over, forced the magic to take form and promptly pinned the creature against a rock face with my magic. My horn was glowing with the intensity of a small sun and I was preparing to blast this creatures soul away.

"You really are rather dull you know..." The creature said. Within moments it slipped out of my iron grip and was flying rings around me. "You need to lighten up." It took me a few moments to realize that this wasn't any ordinary creature.

"What are you?" I stuttered. The creature stopped spinning and floated in front of me.

"Discord, or spirit of chaos at your service m'lady." The creature said poshly. It then materialized a hat and tipped it at me.

"Are you the tormenting me in my sleep?!" I shouted at Discord. "Tell me you monster!" To be fair, my sleeping issues had put me on edge.

"No, and please, I am hardly a monster in comparison to you. I mean sure, I am a bit... Unorthodox, but it is kind of my thing." Discord morphed into a mirror. "Now this is what a monster looks like." He levitated in front of me, I could see myself. Not clad in robes, but me. "At least I don't go around forcing the souls of the departed into skeletons."

"No, but you enjoy mangling them." I pointed over to the skeletons that were aimlessly dancing around in an attempt to walk in a straight line. "Turn them back, now!" I ordered. "My patience grows thin!" I threatened. Discord morphed back into his 'normal' form and clicked his claw. All my skeletons stop their strange dancing and returned to normal.

"You really need to lighten up, has failing to beat Sun-butt annoyed you?" The creature tormented, nearly pushing me into a blind fury.

"You are stepping into dangerous territory, I suggest you stop right there." I growled at Discord. "Least I tear you in half."

"Looks like I have struck a nerve..." Discord teased. "You should relax Dead, take a chill pill." Discord snapped his claw again and a large blue pill appeared. He threw it down by me and it landed with a mighty thump. "Go on... I won't judge."

"What the buck are you doing." I hissed. "You know what scrap that, just leave me alone. I'm leaving." I huffed, I had gone past my limit and this was getting way to stupid for me. However as I turned around Discord appeared in my face and was breathing heavily on my muzzle.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that Dead Quiet, you need to be shown the errors of your ways." Discord said as he spun me around.

"Error of my ways?" I sighed. "There is nothing wrong with necromancy."

"Really. You see nothing wrong with stuffing the souls of one thing into the skeleton to another." Discord rolled his eyes at me. I sighed a second time and huffed slightly.

"Sure when you do that. But I don't. If you had any sense in you, you would be able to see that they are happy. I only put the souls of those willing to come back. And I kept them in the bodies of their own race." I smugly said, Discords jaw dropped and he turned and faced the army of skeletons that were slowly approaching him. He gave them a brief look over chuckled.

"So you are right... It doesn't seem like you are that bad a pony... Save the whole trying to destroy Celestia." Discord robbed his beard and chuckled.

"You're an idiot. You have come in assuming all these things about me and yet you yourself are a villain!" I chuckled madly. "Your are Discord, the spirit of chaos, disharmony. And what, you expect to get along all fine and dandy with the elements of harmony!" My cackled turned into an evil laugh. "You honestly just thought you could show up and manipulate me like that?" Discord sighed.

"Alright you win. Yes I was trying to manipulate you, I had heard that you had been skulking around here as of late and decided to come see the 'powerful necromancer' for myself." Discord faced me directly. A cold win blew through the once forested clearing. "Tell me Dead, if you ever win. What will you do?"

"Whats it to you?" I replied, to be honest I had never thought about what would happen if I were to win. Mainly because Celestia and Luna were rather overpowered with the elements on their side. "And even if I don't have a plan, I honestly don't think I am going to win anytime soon. I have plenty of time to plan."

"Hmm, so it would seem. You know what Dead. I like you, I don't know why." Discord brushed his hair back. "I will make this intrusion up to you someday. I promise, no I pinkie promise." Discord smirked at me and extended his paw, I had no idea what a Pinkie promise. As a shook his paw he drew his claw and crossed is heart and then feigned poking himself in the eye. "Pleasure meeting you Dead." And with that Discord vanished, leaving me rather stunned and confused.

"What the buck just happened?" I sighed before returning to the academy.

And that is how I met the fabled necromancer Dead Quiet. I haven't seen or heard of her since then but wherever she is I'm sure she is doing fine. The statue thought to itself as it served its sentence.

"So I take it you had fun at Canterlot then?" Dead happily asked Dinky. "And do you know how much longer we will be waiting in here fore Ditzy?"

"I enjoyed it a lot, and not too long." Dinky chuckled happily. "Mum said she would be like five minutes." Dead relaxed slight and sat back on the sofa. Dinky tried to copy her but ended up rolling over. "How can you sit like that? It looks funny."

"I dunno, I saw somepony in town say like it and tried to copy them." Dead chuckled as she stood up. "It hurts my back a bit though."

"Oh I know who you are talking about!" Dinky proclaimed. Before she could go on the sound on a door opened could be heard and Dinky shot up and ran towards the noise. "Yay!" Dinky came back into the front room with Ditzy behind her.

"Oh what a surprise, I didn't expect to see you here!" Ditzy said sarcastically. "What have you two been up to?"

"We have just been talking about what Dinky was up to while she way away. Apparently no element of chaos got out this time..." Dead said, she attempted to coax slightly more information about Discord's brief freedom..

"Oh yeah, I nearly forgot about him. A while ago... Just before Princess Cadance got married, Discord broke out of his prison. He turned Ponyville into the chaos capital for a short time. However Twilight and her friends were able to stop him." Ditzy said happily. "It was quite a fight, you should have seen. Discord made all the elements turn against each other."

"Oh really...." Dead grinned evilly. "Good to know."

"Wow, you scarier then Princess Luna did on Nightmare night." Dinky said as she hid behind Ditzy,

"Yes... I have a habit of doing that." Dead chuckled evilly. Dead looked at a clock that was hung up and sighed. "Wow it got late fast... Better get ready for bed."

"Yup!" Ditzy said happily. "Come on Dinky, its past your bedtime."

"Aww..." Dinky protested and Ditzy lead her to her bedroom and settled her in for the night. Ditzy returned to the main room and sighed happily.

"If you go to bed, I will be up within the hour. I just have a few things to do..." Ditzy said suspiciously.

"Alright, but don't be too long!" Dead said as she made her way towards the bed. Ditzy followed her and as Dead got into bed Ditzy gently kissed her forehead.

"Don't worry Dead, I won't be." Ditzy reassured as she headed out into the dark night.
