Rainbow Dash stood right in front of the door, waiting for a special somepony to come out. It wasn't just somepony, but rather the pony who looked up to Rainbow Dash the most, Scootaloo. Scootaloo came out of the door happily in anticipation of her night with Rainbow Dash.
They first went to Sugarcube corner for some treats. Rainbow Dash, at the counter requested come fritters from Mr. Cake. But right before he gave them to Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo pounced up and grabbed one and ran out to the door. She waved the fritter around, tempting Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash, though, played along with Scootaloo's game. They chased each other around in the store for the fritter, even if everypony looked at them confused.
Diamond Tiara was hiding behind a tree. She eyed Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo jumping rope, hoping to ruin their night and humiliate them. But right when she was ready to strike, she saw a burst of confetti coming from the treetop. Diamond Tiara got knocked out upon the impact. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo giggled at Diamond Tiara in her unconscious, confetti-covered state.
After pulling a prank on Diamond Tiara, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash went to the theater to watch a horror film. They sat down to the sight of a bulky, ostrich-like monster. All shook in terror as they saw creature slowly approached a helpless colt, save for two ponies. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo laughed at the scene, noticing the colt could just outrun the creature.
For the final part of their night, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash went to near the hills. Scootaloo was on her scooter and Rainbow Dash stood right next to her. They readied themselves for a race from the border to Sweet Apple Acres. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo positioned themselves and boomed off! The weaved over the hills at questionably high speeds!
Even if Rainbow Dash flew by the same path as Scootaloo for a fair competition, she still was ahead. But Scootaloo was not going to give up. She gave a burst of air more powerful than any she made in her life. Rainbow Dash was so surprised she dropped down. Scootaloo decelerated, but managed to reach Sweet Apple Acres. Despite Rainbow's loss, the two laughed about the outcome.
Even if their night was great, Scootaloo gave off a somber look along her way home. Rainbow Dash noticed her looked. Right when Rainbow Dash opened her mouth to ask, they arrived to Scootaloo's house. Scootaloo came in with her somber look still on her face. Rainbow Dash stared at her sad look with concern and thought.
