Lost in a stormView OnlineFlower HurricaneLost in a stormCheerilee shivered as she walked to her home which was just outside of Ponyville, passing one of the many alleyways on this part of town. It was snowing, casting the land in a icy chill and white location, which from above probably looked just white. She had saddle bags on her back, including a register for her two classes. Looking back at the registers, their was a certain orange pegasus filly in her morning class that worried her. Scootaloo never said anything about having any siblings or parents. And when family appreciation day came around, she said they were busy and they never picked her up from school. Not to mention, the poor filly couldn't fly which gave her more reason. She heard chilled breathing from inside the alleyway that she just passed. She back-stepped and took one step into the alleyway. There appeared to be nothing there but darkness so she decided to look closer. She took more steps into the icy alleyway to see a snow covered box on it's side. A puzzled expression marred her face when she saw the basket. Next to the basket was a scooter that she knew all too well belonged to Scootaloo. She stepped around the basket and sure enough, a filly was sleeping inside cuddling a teddy while shivering. A filly with a orange coat and a messy tomboy violet mane with a set of small wings and a blank flank told Cheerilee who was sleeping inside the basket. It was Scootaloo. ''Scootaloo?'' asked Cheerilee in a attempt to wake the young foal. The filly wearily opened her purple eyes to look at her teacher before gasping and began to cry. Cheerilee looked shocked and attempted to calm the crying filly. ''Y-your gonna take me back to the orphanage, aren't you!?'' yelled out Scootaloo. ''The orphanage?'' ''Ya know, where orphans go!'' ''Your a orphan?'' ''Do I have to explain myself.....'' ''Let's go to my house and you tell me there. And then I will decide what I'm gonna do, okay?'' ''....I...Uh....Okay......'' The filly slowly got out of the box, carrying her teddy on her back, using her wings to hold it there. The young filly was still sniffing and crying. ''Shh, it's okay.'' said Cheerilee before she led the pair out of the the alleyway. The walk was longer then Cheerilee had expected as Scootaloo kept stopping to shiver, sneeze, or to pick up her teddy which kept falling off her back. They eventually made it to the small cottage where the mulberry earth pony lived and carefully she opened the door using her key and led the filly inside. ''Sit down, Scootaloo.'' ''O-okay....'' Scootaloo walked out from behind her and sat down on the sofa opposite a fireplace. Cheerilee smiled, turned on the fire to warm the filly up. Cheerilee stepped upstairs and was gone for a second, before walking back down again carrying a blanket in her mouth which she threw other Scootaloo. The filly snuggled into the blanket for a second before raising her head, but her ears drooped to look at Cheerilee. ''S-so what do you wanna know?...'' ''Why are you orphaned? And why aren't you at the orphanage?'' said the mare, trying to stay as calm as possible. ''....Fine...I will tell you from the beginning...''
Scootaloo's taleView OnlineFlower HurricaneScootaloo's taleA pair of pegasi flew over the Everfree Forest in the direction of Ponyville. A bundle was being carried in one of the pegasi's mouths. This pegasus was a mare while her companion was a male. The bundle didn't move but made crying sounds every now and again, which made it seem like this bundle was a baby. The mare was a ginger pegasus with a violet mane and purple eyes. Her primary feathers were overgrown and jolted in areas compared to her secondary feathers and it appeared to affect her flying. Her cutie mark was a tornado on fire. The stallion was a strong, muscly orange pegasus with a blue mane and tail that was scurfy and had jade eyes. His eyes were alert and he appeared to be looking around with his ears perked to listen. His cutie mark was a wheel and a weight. The baby in the white bundle couldn't be seen, but sometimes a violet mane that was curled and messy showed up. The mare held a firm grip on the bundle as she looked down. ''Muscle Tire, I think we should get out of here.'' ''Right behind you. Just get Scootaloo to safety.'' ''Okay...'' The mare flow quicker and was tightening her grip on her baby's carrier. She appeared to be crying as a few water droplets fell to the ground below. She landed just on the very outskirts of the Everfree and there did she lay her foal. The foal wailed as it's mother took flight into the air, with a droplet falling from her face. ''I'm sorry, Scootaloo.'' A mare walked down the path leading to Ponyville and caught sight of a white bundle. The mare looked confused and stepped forward and closer only to have the bundle shake and a crying to be heard. She made it to the bundle and carefully, she shook the blanket away from the contents to reveal a orange pegasus filly with a violet mane and purple frightened eyes that were watching the mare. ''A foal, just left here? Where's its parents? Better get her to the orphanage now.'' She picked up the bundle holding the foal only to see a necklace fall from around the foals neck saying the word 'Scootaloo'. ''Scootaloo? Is that her name?'' The mare shook her head, picked up the necklace and ran to the red coated orphanage. The orphanage was Sunny Dazes and it was amazing. All orphaned foals went there, but only the foals knew what it was like to live there. The mare opened the door, looked around before going to the counter where a smoking unicorn sat. The unicorn looked up and glared at the mare. ''What do you want?'' ''Well, I found this foal and she appears orphaned....Her name is also Scootaloo, as it's said on this locket.'' ''Okay, okay! It's put her on the floor and leave.'' The mare raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as she carefully placed the filly on the floor and walked out of the orphanage. Only then did the unicorn stand up and pick the foal up roughly and take her into one of the backrooms saying 'pegasi'. The room was black and dark, all the foals were crying with various forms of bruise or cuts on them. Some of them had broken wings and some of the newborns were crying blackened tears due to fright. Hearing the frightened and crying foals. Scootaloo began crying herself and soon the chorus of crying deepened, but the unicorn just glared at them before roughly putting Scootaloo in one of the cribs as the young filly cried. Scootaloo, now 7 years old, woke up around the same time as one of her two best friends, who were twins, but of different races so they couldn't see each other often. Her friend's name was Dream Catcher, he was a white pegasus colt with a yellow mane with a single streak of red running down the middle and blue eyes. His twin, Dream Song, was a white unicorn filly with pink and purple hair that was always drooped and darkened due to the depressing air of the 'orphanage'. Her eyes were a dark red, though her natural eye color was blue like her twin, but they had turned colors over the years. Scootaloo's left wing hurt horribly. She looked at it and her eyes widened as she saw a trail of crimson blood roll from one of her primary feathers and onto the floor. Catch walked over to the younger filly and said. ''I'm sorry, about your wings.'' ''I'm out of this place.'' ''How?'' ''Well, aren't you and Song gonna help me?'' ''We will, but how?'' ''Remember those tiny windows in the bathroom that only a small filly could get through. While I can't fly, I can attempt to get us lot out with a bit of help.'' ''Are you sure about this though?'' ''I'm sure.'' ''Okay, I will help and I will get Song to help.'' ''Thank you, Catch.'' Later that night, the three foals climbed out of bed and into the dark hallway. From there, they carefully walked forward using a light spell from Song's horn, but kept it dim as to not wake the owner, Dark Tides. They came to the bathroom door which they crept into carefully without a noise, using magic to make sure of that. They could see the thin window at the top of the wall. Catch went there first. Song hopped on her brother and Scootaloo hopped to the top and crawled into the window sill. She reached her hoof down but a knock was heard on the door followed by an angry yell. ''You foals get out of there now!'' This shocked Scootaloo causing her to fall back, without any flight ablities. She just fell only to see a slight glow and Song appeared in the window. ''Scoot!'' ''I-I'm...O-okay!'' ''We'll cover for you, just get out of here. Your the only one she affected the ability of flight, so just get out of here.'' ''B-but what about you two?'' ''We'll be fine. I promise and we will join you shortly.'' But her smile didn't show but of the truth, Scootaloo knew it. And even after two weeks in the cold chilly nights, she didn't see Song or Catch again. ''Do you want to meet your friends again, Scootaloo?'' ''Yes! I want to see them! To make sure their alright! They sacrificed themselves for me so that I could get away.....'' But the story got the worst of her and she collapsed into the sofa, sound asleep. Cheerilee frowned and carefully tucked Scootaloo in. ''Tomorrow, I'm going to Princess Twilight about this....''
The newsView OnlineFlower HurricaneThe newsThe next morning, Scootaloo woke up and saw the blanket that was wrapped around her. She gasped, having thought that the night before was a dream, but it appeared that she was wrong. She carefully pulled the blanket off of her and walked into the kitchen, intending to make breakfast for Cheerilee for helping her. She pulled a stool out and hopped onto it, holding onto the side with her hooves. She grabbed some bread first, carefully placed it into the toaster and set it going. She, then, grabbed a can of beans. Poured it into a jug that she grabbed out of the sink and placed it into the microwave. She smiled, hopped off the stool and ran to the sink. She reached up and grabbed a plate from the pale pink draining board. She smiled, the plate was white with a pattern of flowers on it. She carefully carried the plate to the other side of the room, hopped onto the stool and put the plate down. The toaster clicked as the toasted bread popped out. The filly grabbed them, put them on the plate, grabbed the butter and the knife that was in it and carefully buttered the toast. The microwave went off signaling the beans were cooked. Scootaloo reached for the door, carefully opened it, pulled out the jug, and carefully layered the beans over the toast. She clapped her hooves and smiled at her handiwork. Carefully, she grabbed a tray, placed the plate on it, grabbed a vase of flowers, and placed it next to the plate. She reached out, grabbed a few cloths and placed them on the tray as well. She darted to the draining board with the tray on her back. She grabbed a knife and fork and placed them carefully next to the plate. ''All set.'' She carried the tray upstairs and into the bedroom where Cheerilee was sleeping. She carefully placed the tray on the side-table and walked over to the window, pulling open the curtain, shining the light through the window and into the room. The sudden lighting caused Cheerilee to open her eyes and see the smiling filly and the tray. She smiled, picked up the tray, and laid it on the bed in front of her. ''Thank you, Scootaloo.'' ''Y-your welcome, Miss Cheerilee.'' Cheerilee smiled and began to eat when a knock was heard on the door. Scootaloo's ears perked at the noise, probably scared that it was the 'adoption' center owner. But she soon was at the window and saw that it was just the mailmare, Derpy Hooves and her daughter, Dinky Doo Hooves. ''I will get it!'' The moment that Scootaloo said that, she was out of the room before Cheerilee could stop her. Cheerilee smiled and shook her head, Scootaloo had been through enough and if she wanted to help, let her. The little pegasus ran to the cottage door and carefully opened it to see the grey, cross-eyed pegasus carrying her daughter on her back. Derpy's face turned into confusion when she saw Scootaloo but chose to ignore it. ''Here, a letter for Cheerilee. And Scootaloo?'' Scootaloo took the letter, placing it on her back when she heard her name. ''Yes, Derpy?'' ''I have a letter for you, from Dream Song and Dream Catch.'' ''How did they....'' She shook her head, took the second letter and walked upstairs. Not smiling or frowning, more like confusion and worry. Cheerilee saw the filly come into the room and was about to ask when she saw the filly reading a letter. Dear Scootaloo. We're sorry that we didn't come to meet you after you ran away. This is because Miss Dark Tides upgraded the beating, mainly on us for helping you escape. Right now...We're in hospital. I have a broken horn, and Catch has a missing wing and his other wing is bent badly. Please come see us soon. We miss you and we wanna know how you managed to make it all this time. We're deeply sorry. Your friend, Song Scootaloo's eyes welled up in tears of shook and worry. Worry marred Cheerilee's face when she saw the filly with tear filled eyes. ''What's it say?'' ''C-Catch...and S-Song....are in the hospital!'' She burst out crying after saying that one line, causing Cheerilee to get out of bed and to hug the filly in a comfort embrace. ''Shh! It's okay.'' But the filly's tears didn't stop, Cheerilee knew they wouldn't anyway, but now she had more things on her plate. She had to get Scootaloo to the hospital to meet her friends and she had to talk with Princess Twilight about what she should do.
