After graduating Ponyville High, Angel Bolt, Alex and Vinyl Scratch's daughter, finds herself searching for a place to teach her more about her particular talent for shock magic. After a bit of motivation from her father, she decides to enroll in Canterlot Academy of Advanced Magic where unicorns go to enhance and hone their magic skills. There, she strives to make a name for herself among her peers instead of just being known as "Alex's kid". Challenging tests, difficult teachers and not-so-kind classmates are the least of her worries as she tries to find out what her purpose as a unicorn is. The friends that her father and mother made during their lives help her on her way but ultimately, it's up to her to find what her destiny is and what her fate will be in this new environment filled with aspiring unicorns like herself.
