Huff, huff. Clip, clop. The sounds echoed through my head as I heard screeches and yelling from behind me. The voice that stood out above the rest was none other than Queen Chrysalis herself, ready to chop off my head and laugh in my blood. Naturally, I didn't want that to happen, so I ran. What could have made the queen so angry you ask? That was my fault and my fault alone.

I was the one who had turned to the Changelings in the first place. I was young and dumb and did as they asked. I finally had felt a sense of acceptance, that was, until I grew up and realized I was killing innocent people for a queen I no longer enjoyed the company of.

It was my fault for running, but I wasn't sure what I was running from. Was I running from killing innocent ponies or was there something more? I shook my head as the wind blew against my face, whipping my dark colored hair back. There must have been hundreds of Changelings chasing me, but I knew I could outrun them. After years of their company, I knew they grow tired easily if they fly or run as fast as they could.

After around a minute of exhausting running, I could hear all the Changelings had grown tired, except for one; the Queen. She was still raging on, chasing me. I was confused as ever as to why she was so upset. All I had done was try to sneak out and run away before I was caught. Of course, I was easily found, so I ran. The Queen ordered her subjects after me, but I was faster than all of them.

As I kept running, slowing down ever so slightly, I heard a noise behind me. It had sounded almost like something giant had emerged from the ground. As I kept running, I heard a grunt in anger from the Queen and an unfamiliar laugh. No, it was familiar, it had just been a long time since I had last heard it. I stopped in my tracks and turned, curiosity getting the best of me.

The queen was surrounded by thick black vines, making it impossible to get out unless you flew out. There was another creature that levitated next to the Queen, unlike any creature I had seen before.

It had the head of a pony,  a deer antler on the right, a blue goat horn on the left, one long fang, different-sized pupils, a snake tongue, a goat beard, and white bushy eyebrows. He had the right arm of a lion, the left claw of an eagle, the right leg of a lizard, and the left leg of a goat. He also had a bat's right wing, a Pegasus' left wing, a horse's mane and a dragon-like snake's tail with a white tail tuft. The shape of his body resembled that of a snake. It was none other than the spirit of Chaos; Discord.

What was the Draconequus doing here? Curiosity took control and I stepped forward, the soft grass making the ever so slight sound. Both their heads cocked my way and I flinched, my hooves freezing in place. "Let me out, you ungrateful bastard! Let me catch this mutant creature so I can chop her head off!" Chrysalis snarled, her multi-color irises darting from me to Discord.

Discord was looking me right in the eyes, a sinister smile spread across his face. This sudden surprise caused my fluffy ears to snap back out of fear and confusion. I feared what the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony had in store for me.

"So, this is what you were getting so worked up about?" the Spirit of Chaos mocked, only causing Chrysalis to growl more.

"So what if it is? You don't even know what's going on, so don't butt in, you asshole!" she growled, baring her fangs.

The Queen was facing Discord now, right up in his face. Discord had kept his sinister smile and his gaze turned to Chrysalis. "My, my, Queen Chrysalis! How bold, going for a kiss already? We've only just begun the show!" he continuously mocked the female Changeling, his smile now showing his sharp teeth.

Chrysalis blushed and narrowed her eyes, backing up in the process. "Why, you..!" she growled.

The Queen did something unexpected, she slapped Discord. There was a loud echo that could be heard from miles away that was followed by silence. My hazel irises went small as Discord stood there, a blank look on his face making it near impossible to tell how he was really feeling. My eyes were glued to the Spirit of Chaos. How would he react? Would he end up starting a war? I knew I didn't want to be caught up in a war so I would have to get out soo-

My thoughts were interrupted by laughing. I blinked to see that Discord was laughing so hard, he was literally crying. A small stream reached my hooves, which were planted in the ground from fear. Discord wiped the tears from his eyes and turned to the Queen.

He grabbed the bottom of Chrysalis's muzzle and brought it close to his face. The female Changeling's face was flushed red in embarrassment and anger. "If you want to get that pony so badly, why don't you go through me first? Maybe spice things up a bit, have a little fun," the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony muttered to Chrysalis in a low menacing tone, only to be followed by a devilish smile painted upon his face.

Shivers were sent down my spine, causing me to wonder, my mind and heart both racing. What did he mean by 'go through me first'? Did that mean he was going to protect me or cut off my head too? Why would he want my head? Did I do something bad to him? My mind kept racing until Discord shot a glace my way. I straightened my back out of mainly fear of the unknown. As Discord was looking me in the eyes, the Queen spat in his eyes and shoved him into the black vines that surrounded them. "Ouch!" Discord yelped as his fur hit the small spikes that lay upon the vines.

"What do you mean, you mind-twisting bastard? I demand answers or I'll order your head off next!" she growled in a low tone.

After the Draconequus recovered from the slight shock, he grinned and snapped his fingers. He had suddenly vanished and I panicked, frantically searching around to find the whereabouts of the mischievous beast. I was surprised to see him standing next to me, well it was more like levitating next to me. The vines that once surrounded the Queen had disappeared back into the ground and Chrysalis walked over to where I was standing.

"Well, you see...," Discord flashed me a look. "If you want to get to her so badly... then I guess I have no choice but to turn to her side..." he laughed, putting a hand on my shoulder.

Both me and Chrysalis were shocked to a point of disbelief. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, one second I was running away from a raging queen and the next I was forced to team up with the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony. "Huh? You, practically a god, want to team up with a small, insignificant pony just to get in my way? Why you-" the Queen was silenced by a finger that was placed upon her mouth.

"My, my! So worked up, are we? If this pony is so insignificant, why bother chasing? Why bother?" Discord questioned.

I heard a small tsk come from Queen Chrysalis's mouth, which had taken me by surprise. Was she really that fed up with Discord?
