The Troten Tea Party- Part 1

It was a stormy night in Equestria, though, things had seemingly, changed over the years. There was a divide amongst most places in Equestria, some wanting to separate from the Monarchy. Since things, were going downhill when it came to the sisters rule. On this night,  a boat named the Dartmouth,  a wooden ship, used for shipping tea all around Equestria, was out at sea. The flag of the Two Sisters Monarchy waved high and proud. A young Unicorn filly was down in the hull of the ship. She was about sixteen years of age. Her coat was a light baby blue.  And her hair was an noticeable orange. She was wearing a simple dress that was a darker blue than her coat, She knew that back then, before the struggle between the ‘colonies’ and the Monarchy, it was unusual for most common ponies to wear clothes on a regular basis, but things had changed since then. Around her neck, was a golden locket that was her most cherished possession, at this time; she was sitting at a makeshift desk, which was basically a tall box with a smooth top. She was writing a letter she would send back to her mother once she arrived in Fillydelphia.

Dearest Mother,

I can hardly believe it had been a full night since I have bid you all farewell. I miss you terribly, yet my heart is filled with delicious anticipation that awaits father and me in the colonies. I look forward to settling in Dr. Well’s home in Fillydelphia, and long to see father again, when he returns from the wilderness.

The boat was  rocking violently now, the captain struggled from the wheel of the ship to the mast, trying to secure the sails, he slipped, and when he grabbed onto one of the many ropes in a pulley system, it promptly snapped, sending him overboard. His crew then promptly took over, knowing it was too late to save him.

I’m Proud to have a brave explorer as my father, I wear his locket always. We will all be reunites among the wonderful land he sure to discover. I shall be true to my word and right every day.

Your loving daughter,

Sapphire Heart

Sapphire Heart held the parchment in her magical grip, rolling it into a scroll, and sealing it shut. The boat tilted far left, sending the ink bottle on her makeshift desk flying, it hit the floor with the sound of shattering glass, and ink flew everywhere, some of it even getting on her nose, leaving a black splotch on her light fur. The boat rocked forward, and Sapphire used the heavy box in front of her as support to keep herself from toppling forward. A bunch of dust and grime fell from the ceiling, as he looked up, she had a feeling something wasn't going to turn out right

Above the deck, the crew had successfully taken over for their long dead captain. As  the ropes holding the flag gave out, the flag ripped off the mast, and was sent flying into the ocean. No pony, though, seemed to take notice.
