Lost in equestria

"Hey, Kenny?" Twilight yelled across the library."Will you come down to help me ?"

"Really?I thought Spike is your assistant, not me," I said, with a comic book on the ground in front of me."Besides,I can't really help right now, I'm busy."

Reading as a pony is really a pain, my hoofs cant barely flip the pages. It's almost like only ponies with magic can read these properly.

"Well, If he's here, I will probably ask him," She replies,then goes up the stairs, and took away the comic I'm watching.

"You can read this after you're done."

"What!" I yelled. "Can't you just let me finish those few pages?"

"It would only take a few minutes!" she said. "Pretty please?"

With she staring me into my eye socket, I really can't resist. I just can't stand girls do that.

"Okay, okay." I came here for 3 days and I already turned into some librarian. That's just so great.

"I have to clear out these books from the library. Can you help me find them? Just put it on the table over there after you're done. I need to find something else." she instructed. "it's just a few, it shouldn't take too long."

She handed over a list to me.  Looks like those are the books need to be disposed.

" Hey! There's at least 30 books on this list! This would take forever with my... uh,hoofs."

" It will not take too long, i promise."

At the end, I still complied . Better do it quick than wasting time arguing about that.

Books in this library are really old, some of them have their covers rotting over time, no wonder they need to be thrown away.Most of the books feature something about magic and supernatural stuff too. Magic really do exists? I guess it is in this world.

It seems that Twilight have another list she needs to follow too, so i guess our work load is even.

As I'm finding books, I realized that nobody comes to the library to borrow, or even just read books here, and the red door that leads outside the library is shut tight. Isn't library is used to provide books for the public to borrow?

"Hmm, can I ask you a question?" I asked."Why is the library close off to others?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, From where i came from,libraries are open for public use."I pulled out a book and explained,"You know, people can borrow books from it."

"But the books will be lost or damaged that way! Besides, how can anypony ever keep track of the books once they are borrowed?"

"Can't you do that with magic?"

"Magic have their limits too, it would take up too much resource to manage even the most basic library in equestria." she continued."maybe ponies can ask me to lend them some books personally, but open it to all of ponyville is not really the best idea ever."

"Never mind then, I'm just curious." It seems that technology in this place are a lot less advanced around here. Perhaps I should shut up.

This place is actually pretty nice though, the ground floor is a small library, at least compared to the one i used to go to, but If this is where twilight lives, it may actually be pretty amazing.the scent of wood is refreshing enough to let me feel really, really good. A staircase leads to twilight's bed, and essentially where I sleep right now too, with telescope and stuff at the balcony.

I never thought a tree could be carved and used like this! I'm frankly amazed when I first arrived, and i'm still amazed by this place. How could ponies even build this?

Also, there's another staircase that leads to a basement. Not sure what's inside though.

"Hey, can't you focus on what you're doing now? It would be finished quicker that way."

And I got back to work.

An hour passed. I've done the thing Twilight asked me to do. Other than that, nothing productive was done that day.

That night, I lied down on the bed Twilight kindly provided, thinking about the world i originally came from. I bet my family would be more than happy to see me gone.

This town, or at least this very library, feels a lot more vivid and warm then the city i came from, where everything is just cold,grey concrete walls and shiny windows. I wonder what's the people's like in this place? Maybe I'll find out later.
