Evolution
A human, long since forced into Equestria, breaks out of his prison. Long ago, he was chained to their society, entrusting himself to those he called and calls friends. They think he's a monster. Him? He simply removed his leash.
We are all different – but we share the same human spirit. Perhaps it's human nature that we adapt – and survive. -Stephan Hawking
My name is Aaron. Some ponies know me by my surname, Carreau. Others know me as the human.
Long ago, I was ripped out of my own world, and shoved into the hooves of one Twilight Sparkle, with the expectation of being grateful for my sudden isolation. It wasn't all bad, truth be told. But the path deviated. I was called upon for things I had never done. Held responsible for crimes I never committed. They assumed the worst of me.
I am no tool to be used without thought. No slave to be ordered around. Apparently they didn't like my sudden self-reliance.
Right now, all I've got is time. It's a long journey to Equestria, and there'll be an ungodly amounts of bumps in the road.
Hopefully, when I reach the end, for better or for worse, it'll all be worth it.
