She flew to her room. Her annoying sister was alright when Pearl was long sense dead and her Mom nearly killed herself. The joys of being her.
She looked around the small room she shared with five ponies, including her sister, underground, with limited food and supplies.
This camp is pure hell, but she needed to survive to fight against changelings and the crystal ponies.
Ever sense Queen Chrysalis declared war to Celestia and Luna life hasn't been hell to just her. Pretty much everyone was suffering.
Now children were led on missions to scavenge the remains of Ponyville or now known as Base 4362. The changelings recently used some sort of biological weapon and now it wasn't safe to go out anymore. Even better some creatures from the Everfree broke the water supply. A magical life.
''LIGHTS OUT'' yelled someone as the ponies were put to sleep. Or were they? Beauty was careful not to wake any pony up while quietly creeping towards the kitchens.
A hideously pink pony was cooking some thing over some leaves.Pie, wait PIE. She hasn't had a good meal in days and this pony was making pie? Beauty jumped out of her hiding place nearly knocking down the pink pony.
''We are starving and you are making PIE?''
Hi hi, yes of course I'm making pie silly what does it look like I'm doing, baking rats? That wouldn't taste good you know. Although if you picked the right spices and maybe added some lettuce. Wait silly,ponies don't eat rats hi hi hi. But I've never tried one....
The pony quieted down when she saw the look on the pony's face.
Beauty has never seen so much food in her life! she felt a tear go down her face and gurgling in her stomach with all her might she ran towards the food but she wouldn't budge. The pink pony opened her mouth but instead of words out came a loud whistle.

The guards yelling woke her up instantly. After an extremely boring speech they learned that it was safe to go up and that some animals had died from the changeling's attacks.

''EWWWW,'' groaned a blue stallion as he looked at another dead body. Beauty sighed, this would mean another hour of picking up guts and brains.
She was past the mid-ribs when their guard signaled there was danger approaching.
