"Bye, Spike!" Twilight said as she watched him walk towards Canterlot with his small suitcase. Celestia had recently learned more about Spike's past and wanted to tell Spike in person, and also wanted him to research his past with her guidance.
Twilight sighed and closed the castle doors, glad that she had the castle to herself to explore. Since she had been catching up with her studies recently, she hadn't been able to fully explore the castle. Now that she had caught up on her studies (finally), she decided it was the perfect time to explore the castle.
She went to the stairs, which were at the very back, next to the backdoor, which lead to a beautiful garden with a fountain. As she passed the room with the Elements of Harmony at the top, or the 'Courtroom' as Twilight called it, she wondered what she and her friend would use it for. Probably for discussing how to defeat a villain that came back from a thousand years ago, Twilight thought sarcastically.
As Twilight reached the stairs after five minutes of trotting to get there, she stared at the marvelous staircase. The first step was a light crystal blue, but the second step was a violet, matching the stripe in her mane. This pattern continued, ending with the violet step.
Twilight decided to show her hooves mercy and flew up the stairs, passing a couple of windows on the way up.
The purple Alicorn landed on the last step of the staircase, looking at the long hallway in front of her. She just got the castle two days ago, so she didn't really know what any of the room were except her room, which was right in front of her. She started with left, flying to the left end of the hallway, not bothering to explore the balcony, as she already had.
She opened to door in front of her, that revealed a room with a window on the farthest end with a blue and a long, comfy looking sofa with many plush pillows laying on the coffee table with a small projector in between the pillows, facing towards a large white sheet hanging on the wall that was probably supposed to serve as a screen for films. Next to it was a window with a violet curtain over it. On each end of the room, small violet and blue coffee table had several candles on them, varying in length, width, and color (and probably smell). Twilight saw a small stack of papers and a feather in an ink bottle on top of a violet coffee table behind the sofa. Twilight floated over the feather and a strip of paper in front of her and wrote on it; "Living Room/Filming Area.".
Twilight magically sealed the paper on the crystal door and opened the next door.
A small, dark room with a black curtain over the single window in the room lay out in front of the purple Alicorn. In the left corner of the room, next to the window, a desk was stacked with parchments and several feathers in varying sizes in large or small (depending on the size) ink bottles. The desk had many drawers, and Twilight opened all of them up with her magic, to reveal more parchments, closed ink bottle in varying sizes, and feathers of the same size in one drawer, each drawer with feathers labeled with which feather it belonged to. Glad I don't have to clean or decorate, Twilight thought, even though she would've loved to have to clean or decorate. Twilight craned her neck in and looked to her right, revealing a small bed. Twilight then got another strip of paper and wrote "Writing Room/Quiet Room" on it and again, magically sealed it onto the door leading to the Quiet Room as she closed it.
Twilight looked out the balcony on her left and saw the sun starting to set and the moon slowly rising up. Did I really take *that** long to observe two rooms?* Twilight thought as she watched the sun set and the moon rise high in the sky, several stars starting to twinkle. Luna had been making the night illuminated with several constellations ever since Twilight got her castle. Twilight smiled at the beautiful night sky and decided she would do the room next to hers and Spike's tomorrow.
Twilight walked into her room, which looked exactly like it had before she got her tree upgraded to a crystal-castle tree.
As she settled into her bed, she heard a knock at the door. Who in the wide, wide world of Equestria is at my door..?
"Greeting Twilight Sparkle, I have arrived to see your new castle, as that is what the hype is all about, yes?" spoke a navy blue Alicorn with her ethereal blue outlined-in-purple mane tied into a bun. "Twilight Sparkle, have you gone deaf?" said the Alicorn, waving her hoof in front of Twilight's jaw-dropped face.
Twilight shook out of her daze and looked up at the Alicorn, muttering "No, Princess Luna.." Luna looked down upon her, even though she was only a few inches taller. "Twilight Sparkle, there is no need to call a fellow princess 'Princess'. I am just Luna. Now, may we- I mean- I look inside your new tree-castle?"Luna asked, flying in as Twilight nodded.
Twilight tried to catch up to Luna as she flew around the first floor, and once in a while she would slowdown to let Twilight think she was gonna catch up to her, only to speed up again. Suddenly, Luna took a left turn while heading for the back, flying up the staircase.
As Twilight neared the staircase, her wings failed her, letting her drop onto the cold, hard, diamond floor. From there, she crawled like a 6-month old filly to the staircase, using her wings to push her forward once she got onto the stairs. "Lu-" Twilight heaved, exhaling loudly as she visibly struggled to crawl up the staircase "-na" she continued, stopping midway to the 2nd floor of her kingdom. She heard Luna snort from somewhere upstairs. "Twilight Sparkle, would thee like some help?" She said, flying down to settle next to Twilight on the blue and violet staircase. Twilight nodded, her face buried into her forelegs. Suddenly, Twilight felt a large wing wrap around her body, making her feel as inferior as possible. Twilight opened her eyes and saw that she was being carried by Luna's left wing as Luna trotted up the long staircase, stopping at the door labeled "Quiet Room".
Luna dropped Twilight onto the small bed in the Quiet Room, pushed back the curtains, and sat next to the window, her horn glowing, no doubt creating constellations in the night sky. Twilight fell asleep facing the window from the bed, watching the constellations Luna made in the night sky.
