strange peopleView OnlineThe Unwanteds: unexpected visitorsstrange people The strange people or at least what Alex thought were people came out from what once was the ocean. at first everybody shied away from them. then as they went around introducing them selves they got pretty fond of them. what was really strange was their names, they were named Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Pinkie pie. it was like they were from another world! as he stood up, the pink one bounced over to him smiling. it was the oddest thing, he has never seen some one so happy since they lost their home. The other strangers wandered around and said a few words. Alex didn't notice that the pink person started talking. "What??" he said with a confused look on his face. he wondered why her skin was so pink and why she sometimes acted like a horse. " I said, silly! why is everybody so gloomy and weird!!?!?" After that she giggled and stared back. "Oh, yeah, that..." Alex replied softly. he thought about telling her but decided not to. "Well!!" She asked. foot tapping she flipped her hair and asked again, "Well..." "okay..." Alex said slowly,"We'vebeeninwarandlostourleaderandwiththatmyfriendsandourhome." The girl giggled again, " I don't see what's so funny nothing about this is funny!" he yelled. the girl stopped and frowned at the pboy that yelled at her. "so... when are you going to get your home back." the girl said. they had been talking for awhile and finally asked him that. "that we don't know." Alex sighed at the thought of getting there home back-at this moment it seemed nearly impossible. the more he thought about it the more it bugged him and nagged at his mind. "So what im getting at is that you guys are just sitting around waiting for an answer to come." She replied with. She had a point. But before they came he was working on something-it wasn't big but it was a start. Alex wasn't sure it was working but it had to- it was the only thing that kept him sane and thinking that there was hope, "well if you wan't we could help." she said with a smile on her face.
giving a helpful handView OnlineThe Unwanteds: unexpected visitorsgiving a helpful hand"thanks for the offer but I don't think you could help us..." Alex said quickly. he just wanted to do this on his own. The girl thought for a second and shook her head, " I'm gonna help you any way." She said thoughtfully. Alex gritted his teeth. "How." He asked. "I don't know... But it just feels like i should okay." She replied tiredly. the rest of the day was hard. No food or water to feed every body. either they got their home back soon or they would have to starve to death. For Alex that wasn't an option. Alex got up and walked toward the barn. the old grey building creaking and moaning as he walked up the small rough steps.he opened the door and walked in side. He went into his room and lit a candle. after changing into a fresh pair of cloths he lied in bed. "Wakey wakey time to get up!" A bright pink face hovered over his. Alex shot up and looked at Pinkie. Studying her, she carried a plate of eggs.Eggs! he thought. He blinked. he had to be dreaming! There was no food last time he checked. "Where'd you get those!" Alex asked her. "From a chicken silly!" Pinkie replied with a giggle. "I know but where did you get the chicken!" He asked. He thought and remembered that the only other food was in Quill. " From magic!" She squealed, " I wanted to show you that I could help!"
prologue: ArtimeView OnlineThe Unwanteds: unexpected visitorsprologue: ArtimeIf you could make a wish what would it be? for alex it would to bring Artime back. Ever since their leader Mr. today died they had been living in the death farm that once was the place of Artime. They huddled together in groups to keep warmth and keep each other company while waiting to get food and water. Alex swallowed a lump in his throat and thought carefully. He had enough magic to make one small miracle and didnt want to blow it. Shutting his eyes he waited for the tingling sensation to start ticking his mind when he normally did spells and drew to get the creativity going but there was none. He sat in silence and darkness hoping for a miracle he knew would never come, but he waited and waited for the creative flow of magic Artime once gave him. Nothing happened. Alex tried over and over again. Still, nothing happened. Being to question if he was even the right person to bring their home back he punched the wall next to him angry that he couldn't do anything to help. Thats when he remembered that the more and more he practiced art the more magic he got. Alex got up and walked through the dusty halls of the death farm's house. they found food and water here and used all up in less than a week, now all that was left was a few jugs half full. He stepped through the door and found that the hole place was looking more and more like a hobo camp and needed to clean up some how, but he pushed the thought to the back of his head. Alex looked at the sky expecting it be warm and filled with light but was rewarded with the boring grey clouds of the death farm. he took a stick from the fire wood pile and walked over to the wettest spot on the field of dirt. the smooth thick mud ran through his fingers like water and oozed in between his rough hands as he played in the mud. he felt like a child again drawing in the mud with his twin brother Aaron. Lost in thought he picked up the stick and drew the first thing that popped into his mind: a triangle on top of a square, the first picture he ever drew. he drew the first part before one of the kids in his class walked over. " Why are you drawing a triangle?" a small hoarse voice behind him asked. He thought and slowly said," I'm just bored." though he thought he was bored but he really was out of his creative juice, kind of like writers block but drawing.he finished his drawing and looked at it. it was small and looked like a two year old drew it. Day after day he drew but thought of nothing but that small house. That's when they came.
