A young mare pushed open a door on this rainy night and slowly stepped in. Her midnight blue cloak was billowing in the wind until she kicked the door closed, her dark, brilliant raspberry tail flicking off the water. A sigh escaped her hooded face, and the hood only allowed her scanning light cerulean eyes and a bottom part of her face to be shown, and her ears jutted out of the holes she'd cut into the hood.
Her faded, pale light raspberry hooves clopped against the dark wooden floor, her straight tail sweeping the ground only slightly; peeks of her dark, brilliant raspberry mane slipped out from her hood. The mare approached a small window and placed her forelegs onto the window sill, and just stared out at the night sky.
...Somewhere out there was her home.
Her shining, light cerulean eyes narrowed sadly, and she pressed a forehoof against the windowpane.
"Hm..." and then the sorrow melted into nothing, and the stare twisted slightly into a questioning glare. The mare scoffed, moving away from the window, her eyes now expressionless.
She, with swift movements, took off her hood, revealing her affectionless face—deadpan shining, light cerulean eyes. Her dark, brilliant raspberry mane cascaded past her shoulders, and her big, shining light cerulean eyes had a light scowl as they scanned the room once again. This was her shelter for the time being; an abandoned building in Jump City.
It suited her.
It was dark and expressionless... just like her soul.
She sighed and closed her eyes, levitating a book she had taken from her home from her saddle-bags and simply looked at it. With a tilt of her hood, she opened it, walking over to a cot and sitting down on it.
