Your the Apple in my Eyes
AJ was distant I knew that but she barely spoke a word after the death of her Grand Mother. For a couple of weeks she wore a black ribbon tried around her Stetson, she would even wear a necklace at times." Probably her Grandma's." I would think at times when I saw her. It pained me to see her like this she would have her hair down covering her eyes, that really pained me I loved staring into her green eyes they where almost the same shade as mine and I always felt I could get lost in them if I stared long enough.
" Spike." Twilight called for me down from the library, escaping my thoughts I went down stairs to help Princess Twilight.
" Yes Twi..." I was almost down the stairs when I saw Twilight standing by the library door. It was open and standing there was..." Apple Jack?" I questioned.
" Howdy Spike.." She said in a dull tone.
" I'll leave you two alone..." Twilight rubbed the back of her head awkwardly and flu away. No joke AJ flung herself at me.
" Help me..." She cried tears streaming down her face. Her orange arms where wrapped around me while she cried on my shoulder.
" Shhhh.." I said stroking her hair. That's what my mother did when I was an eye I still remember the touch of her claws when she would stroke my eggshell.
" How can I help you." I asked rubbing her back twisting circles into it.
" I want- to- end... It!" She cried again snuggling into my shoulder some more.
" Please Apple Jack every one loves you... I was taken away from my family but I found Twilight she raised me cared for me helped me adjust to my new life style.." I stroked her hair some more whispering sweet words of nonsense into her ear.
" Spike please you can't..." Apple Jack stop and look up at me." Oh sorry." She muttered tears forming in her eyes again. But the tears didn't seem to be from the thoughts she was having it looked like they where tears for me.
" Apple Jack it's fine come on... Lets get you home...." I grabbed one of her hoof and silently thought to myself how pretty she was, then walked her out the door.
We walked until the barn was only a few feet away from us.
" Thank you Spike would you like an Apple? Rarity has been helping me and we created an apple made of gems. Thought ya might like it.." She said her in southern accident.
" How could I refuse?" I asked walking forward into the barn.
" Here." AJ said rummaging around the barn looking for the apple. The truth was that she had made it with the help if Rarity but she had only made one just for Me.
" Try it." She said in a slightly less dull tone. I looked down at the apple in front of me, but it wasn't an apple it was a gem delicacy. The part that should have been the red skin that protected the apple's insides were blazing green emralds almost as green as AJ's eyes, the stem was made of rubies an the inside was sapphires my favourite.
" Tis is Goof." I said with a mouthful of sapphires.
AJ nodded slightly and smiled." Your welcome." She waved a hoof sheepishly.
I love you AJ. The thought formed in my mind a thought that I have thought a lot about before and this time i did mean it.
" Spike thanks for walkin me home you can go now." She turned from me little did I know she was blushing. I felt a pang of sorrow in my heart but I tried to keep my face straight.
" Ok send me a letter or something if you need me." I said burning the gem apple core to a crisp. The ash landed on the ground in a million black pieces kinda like my heart when AJ asked me to leave.
The mare in front of me nodded her head so I walked away out of the barn and out of another chance to kiss her.

" Back so soon?" Asked twilight as I walked through the library's door.
I grunted and slammed the door shut." I'm guessing she didn't kiss you?" Twilight asked with a small chuckle.
" Whatever." I mumbled walking up the stairs to my bed. Even though it was 5 in the afternoon I need to rest before I cause some real damage. Laying down on the bed I didn't bother pulling the covers over me, soon I was fast asleep dreaming the worst dream I ever had.

It's was pitch black I didn't feel safe it felt cold, damp and miserable. She was standing there wearing a black dress with her yellow hair in a curly bun." Spike..." Whispered the mare. She 3 feet away but I heard her.
" Yes?" I question walking to her.
" Remember me.." She muttered and took a step forward I was puzzled at first but then she took another step and was gone.
" Apple Jack!" I screamed reaching a claw into the darkness all I could see was a orange mare with blood spilling out of her head.
" Spike..." Said a distance voice. I didn't listen and began to cry.
" Spike.." The voice grow stronger it sounded like... Twilight?
" Spike!" Twilight scream and I instantly bolted up.
" You were making weird noises in your dream are you ok?" She asked in a motherly tone.
" Yes." I said shaking slightly." I had a dream apple jack committed death." I sputtered the last part." that was not good after all I love her." I thought.
But I was right Apple Jack was going to try to kill herself tomorrow.

I walked in circles around the main room of the library." Why would I have a dream of her killing herself? What is wrong with me?!" I screamed in my head while I ripped out my scales.
" Spike don't worry." Said Twilight with a yawn. It was almost 1:00 at night and twilight had stayed up with me.
" How can I?" I asked pulling out more scales.
"Spike dreams or nightmares are fueled by emotion maybe your sadness cause a dream like that to accrue." Twilight mumbled as she walked off to bed. I sighed. Maybe I was being to overdramatic.
" But Spike it wasn't a dream it was real it had to be.... AJ and miserable and wanted to kill herself so what if she does." I whispered quietly to myself.
I walked in circles some more before I decided to read my favourite book. I knew it by heart, where it was and what words where in its
Jogging over to the D's section I carefully looked around to fine my book." Diverting. No... Dhal. No... Dragons. Yes!" I squeaked happily. It was that book about dragons that would calm me down every night when I was a baby. It was this book about how I discovered my heritage. I squeaked again and ran over to the nearest table to read it.
But I couldn't concentrate for a darn." Why is my question." It was anwser momentarily. As soon as I finish I felt a letter coming out of my throat, at first I thought I had just burped but I burped again and swirling green fire emanated from my mouth. It was over in an instate and laying in front of me was a piece of parchment tried together with a black ribbon.
Raising an eyebrow I picked it up and untried the ribbon, this is what it said:
Dear Spike,
It's AJ I asked Rarity to send this to you by the time you get this I'll be at the bridge in the Everfree. I'm jumping off meet me there if you want to.
At this point I don't care.

I looked down at the letter with wide eyes before I could react I felt my feet move to the door. Flinging it open I ran and ran, I knew it wouldn't have been faster to teleport but my heart was acting faster than my brain. Running as hard and as fast as I could, in minutes I reach the Everfree. But I didn't stop there i ran even more until I saw a orange figure in the distance.
" Apple Jack!" I called. She turned around to look at me, he eyes filled to the brim with tears she turned her head back to stare at the Castle that the bridge led to.
" Spike." She said as I came closer." Don't Please just go." This pained me but I stepped forward closer to her.
" AJ please everyone loves you... I..." But I couldn't bring myself to it.
" You what?" She spat looking down at me. Glaring daggers into my eyes.
" I..." What I'm I doing?
Don't do it she kills herself.
Do it and ill be a laughing stock in her eyes.
But...
My brain was trying to figure it out when AJ said something not to me but more to herself." One more step I take a fall. One more step I end it all." She murmured as she put a hoof out.
" One more step I'm gone for now. The question is how." She muttered some more leaning forward a bit.
Now or never! My mind screamed. Do it or she'll die! I creamed again.
" One more step." She whispered closer her eyes.
"NO!" I screamed pulling her back and planting my lips onto hers. It was a good short kiss and soon I found myself pulling away.
" Thank you." AJ muttered kissing me again." I love you too." She murmured snuggling into my shoulder.

AJ loves me! My mind race as I walked her back to her barn but this time she kissed me when I dropped her off." Hay Spike do you want to come inside?" She asked with a sly smile. I blushed when I realise what she meant.
" S- sure..." I sputtered taking a step into the barn." After all your my Gem Apple." I thought.
