With the senate adjourned and the country finally at peace, Senator Lunarus Nexus retires to his quarters to start work on the Manehatten budget. But Princess Twilight insists that he come to her Anniversary Gala in Ponyville to celebrate her official move into Ponyville. After being swiftly warn down by his wife, he agrees to take her and the family, extended and all, to the Gala. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows however. Soon upon arrival, Dust starts to act slightly distant and to top it all off, his son goes missing along with his friend, Ephialtes', daughter, Night n' Gale. Their search will lead them to the newly rebuilt Everfree Castle. What dark forces lie beyond the stone walls? And will Nexus' marriage survive.
