Twilight Sparkle, a newly appointed princess roamed the halls of her new library. Since that wretched beast demolished her old one, she had been given the gift of a new library along with her own castle. It was indeed very exciting, yet surprising at the same time. Who could've guessed that she, Twilight, would get a castle? Twilight's eyes sparkled with awe as she trotted excitedly through the isles. There were so many new books to be read! Though she had to admit, losing her old library brought just the tiniest hint of pain to her heart.

The memories she had there were so clear in her head. And the books she kept there, the books that she read as she learned about friendship, and grew as an individual. Those books were all quite special. It was hard but Twilight knew that she had to move on and look ahead into the future instead of dawdling over the past. She heard small footsteps pattering quickly across the crystal like floor, as if moving towards her. In an instant she knew it had to be Spike, he was pretty pumped up about this place too.

"Twilight!" She heard Spike calling out to her from not far off. She poked her head out of an isle she was in to see him standing there out of breath. "This library sure is great isn't it?" Twilight chirped out, starting the conversation off right with the library as the main subject of course. Spike looked up at her, eyes wide. "This whole place is awesome! Oh man you should totally see your bedroom." Twilight got the feeling that Spike basically ran around the whole castle checking out every little detail. "I'll check it out later, but seriously. This library is great!"

Spike sighed not seeming to give the library much attention. "Yeah sure, whatever." Twilight trotted back over to a particular shelf she was looking at and ran her hoof gently over the line of books. "You know Spike, you should really try to appreciate these books." She didn't understand those who disliked reading, or just books in general. Books to her were like completely different worlds filled with the thrill of adventure. Aside from the printed words, she loved the feel of books. Just turning the page was exciting enough.

Spike began to talk about how cool it was that she had her very own castle now, interrupting her thoughts. "Yeah.." Twilight replied blankly, her voice trailing off a bit. Spike tilted his head in confusion. "Don't you like this castle?" She shook her head attempting to clear the memory of her old library away. Of course she liked this castle! She was ever so grateful to even have it in the first place. "Yes, I do. Sorry about that." She replied firmly with confidence in her tone.

Spike stared back at Twilight for a moment with empathy in his eyes. "You miss your old library, don't you Twilight?" His voice was soft as he spoke. Twilight sighed deeply and lowered her head to stare at the floor. "Of course I do Spike. But it's not bothering me as much, I still have my friends right?" Spike shrugged. "Well okay, whatever you say. Hey, I'm going to go join the others back at the castle entrance! Come down if you want!" He called out cheerfully as he ran towards the library exit, footsteps echoing throughout the room.

Just as he was about to leave he stopped, his stomach feeling strange all of a sudden. Twilight poked her head back out of the isle, noticing that his footsteps had stopped. She saw him crouching low to the ground with an arm wrapped around his belly. "Spike...?" Spike groaned. "Ughh.. I think the princess is sending a letter.."
