Everything in a New Light
Death. It's something that we expect to happen to us, and yet what we don't expect is how or when we will die. I didn't expect my death to be drowning in my own pool I always thought I was going to die of old age or something like that. And yet there I was floating dead. All I could see or hear was quiet, nothing.
And then I saw something I never expected, a flash of bright light and the gray of stone. I then heard the screams of a woman giving birth. I was then picked up by a scaly, clawed hand, I was wrapped in a towel and was handed to who I would soon know to be my mother. She cradled me looked up and said in a calm, soothing voice.
"You do realize that she'll be different than everypony else, don't you?" Then a loud deep voice ,that belonged to my father, responded "I do, and that is what saddens me, and what saddens me more is that have to keep her a secret from everypony. So what should we name her?" "How about hmm, "Night Harmony", What do you think?" Said my mother with confidence. "I think it's a beautiful name." He said. But that was years ago I've grown up now I had a dragon for a father and a unicorn for a mother.
Both good parents, raised me in the ruins of a castle which is now called Castle of The Two Sisters to keep me a secret, they taught me to stay in the shadows because they didn't want ponies to discover my secret. I was an Alicorn in a way, I had a unicorn horn and could perform magic and I could fly but I didn't have Pegasi wings I had dragon wings. My eyes weren't normal either I had the eyeshape of a pony but my pupils were of a dragons. My mother taught me the history of ponykind, the world around me and how to use magic. My father taught me how fly when I grew my wings,and how to stay in the shadows. My parents are dead now. So I've decided to move to the town of Ponyville.
