When I opened my eyes I was staring out a window. Out the window was a vast, blue wall of water interrupted by a sandy area that looked like a beach. Sitting on the wall was a huge, scaly creature the size of a dragon. An engine was atop it, a metal beam seemingly buried in its chest. Concerned, I tried to get up from my seat, and I fell all the way to the back of the plane, a table leg striking my back when I landed. Crying out in pain, I shakily rose to my hooves.
"So there was no wall after all," I mumbled, searching for a way to get out of here. One of my wings was broken, so climbing would be my only option. Before I started climbing, I began searching for something to wrap my wing in. Finding a small towel that was coated in grease, I set it aside as a last resort for binding my wing. I didn't want to risk an infection.
I was instantly reminded of my father, who was an auto mechanic. Whenever he got hurt, he put grease on it and slapped duct tape over it. I was surprised that he hadn't killed himself from an infection, but that was a story for later. Ripping a crate open, I found the flag of Equestria, folded neatly. I had a choice; deface the flag of my country (and dishonor it), or potentially get an infection. I decided to dishonor my country and its flag. Finally having tied up my wing, I began searching for a way out of the plane. A huge tree branch poked straight through the metal of the fuselage, and I pulled myself up onto it. Looking around, the only way to the door would be a daring leap straight across to the door in the plane.
Closing my eyes tightly, I made a leap of faith. Half a second later, my eyes opened as all of the air was pushed out of my lungs as my ribcage smashed into the metal wall. I was dangling there, my hooves holding my weight. Grinning like a moron, I pulled myself up and stood on my hind legs in the doorway. I could see the dragon, still laying there. I was concerned that it was dead. I assumed that the plane had crashed into a tree, but that wouldn't explain the engine and part of the wing ontop of it.
I gently crawled out onto a branch, and looked down. I would land in six foot deep water. Deciding to risk it, I let go and landed into the water with a humongous sploosh. When I hit the freezing ocean water, I surfaced as fast as I could and swam to the shore as fast as possible.
Scampering onto the beach, I looked around. Directly ahead of me was a thick jungle. I could see a large hill, the jungle attempting to take control of it. To the left was a huge tree that overhang the water. The airplane was sitting in it, the tree groaning from the immense weight of the aircraft. To the right lay the dragon, still with the wing and engine atop them. Many jagged shards of metal lay in the sand, pointing into the air like wicked and malicious stalagmites. Making my way over to the dragon, I looked at the metal pole impaled in its chest, like a spear. A propeller blade was embedded into the dragon as well, much like the metal pole.
Standing on top of the dragon, I stood on my hind legs and wrapped my hooves around the pole. Pulling with all of my might, the pole flew from the dragon's chest, several scales ripping up in the process. I examined the end of the pole, a single drop of blood coming off of it. I momentarily lost my balance as the dragon inhaled deeply.
I awoke to a yellow pegasus standing upon my chest. Upset, I grabbed the huge engine and wing in my claws, metal crunching like a tinfoil wrapper under a hoof. The pony stared right at me and began running to the wrecked hulk of the airplane. I grabbed the metal pole in a claw and stuck it in the sand to get back up on all fours. The pony was scampering through the tree like a monkey, trying to get to the door. I yanked the metal pole from the sand and stood on my hind legs, and threw it as fast as I could.
Wood shattered like glass, splinters flying in every direction. The branch the mare was climbing on fell into the sea, the mare landing on her back in water only six inches deep. I dropped down onto all fours and calmly made my way over, like a cat to its prey. The mare finally got back to her hooves. She made no attempt to run this time.
"Why?" I asked, wondering what would cause this mare to fly all the way out here.
"What do you mean 'why'?" The mare retorted, standing on the tips of her hooves in an attempt to make herself look bigger.
