This story is a prequel to "Journey to Equestria: Homeward Bound".

Embark on the journey that began the journey as Justin Daniels, a single father in a broken family, struggles to survive in the harsh jungles of Gryphonia, all while protecting his beloved daughter, Ruby, who wakes up with him in a different body... the body of an "Alicorn".

With the help of a creature of mythology; a Gryphon named "Gilded Blade", the two must endure struggles between mythological and otherworldly creatures (fierce and wild, and/or sentient), nature itself, new languages that need to be learned, and odd looks, all while finding a way to get back home.
