Read this before the fanfic itself.1: Origin of an Empire "Finally. Almost there. With this money saved from countless concerts, my dream will FINALLY be realized," Vinyl said to herself. The one to rule over even the New Lunar Republic and the Solar Empire. Soon, the Dubstep Order will be real, and nopony can get in my way. We will win with superior tech, better troops, and WUBZ! And I can afford with this 1,000,000 bits, saved from countless concerts... But now there is no time to lose. I must get to Mane-hattan." Vinyl trotted out her door to the train station, with her money ready. "One train ticket to Mane-hattan, please," Vinyl asked of the mare behind the desk, in the station. "Ok, that'll be 50 bits," she replied. Vinyl gave her the money, got her ticket, and boarded the train. She heard the conductor yell, 'ALL ABOARD!' The train started to take off and Vinyl pulled a list of places to go from her saddle-bags. First on the list, the Science Shop, then a Bar, then Stallion Surveyors, then lastly, to the Colt Construction Company. Vinyl let her mind wander, until eventually falling asleep. After a few hours of napping on-and-off, she reached her destination. She got off the train and was awestruck by her surroundings. She'd never been to Mane-hattan before. Perhaps she could go sight-seeing? No... she must stay focused! She pressed on, until reaching the Science Shop. She browsed the shop. She was looking around at all the gadgets. She saw little filly's toys from 10 bits, to complex computer processors at 150 bits. She knew she was in the right place. She walked up to the desk. "Hey, could I go-uh- talk to the boss?", Vinyl asked. "What do you need?", the mare asked. "I'm a DJ, you see, and wanted him to build these heaphones for me," Vinyl said while pulling out a blue sheet of paper from her bag. The mare inspected the blueprints for a moment before saying, "Go on to the back. Ask one of the scientists where to go." "All right, thanks!" Vinyl went to the back. She was inspecting the scene of beakers and test-tubes. Wires and processors. Goggles and lab coats. She walked up to a red stallion ,who was wearing a lab coat, who seemed to be working on some form of chemical mix. "Hey,-uh- can u direct me to the boss' office please?", Vinyl asked. "Just go...down that...hall and it's...the first door...from the right..," he said, pausing to make his measurements correct. "All right! Thank you!" "Eeyup!" Vinyl was walking down the directed hallway to the boss. A white stallion with an acid-green mane and eyes looked at her. "Hello," he said. "What do you need?" "I have a...proposition for you..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And so, in a huge amount of dialogue that the author was way too lazy to write, it finally led to the boss saying this: "Well, Miss Scratch," pausing to readjust his position in his chair "I do say, you make a mighty compelling argument. However, your words, and sack of 2,500 bits, have wavered my opinion to join your cause. Just call the number I gave you when you need our service." Vinyl gave a little, sly grin. "Thanks," she said, and proceeded out of the shop. "Have a nice day," the mare at the front desk said as Vinyl walked out. "You too," Vinyl replied, and walked out of the shop. "Now, to get to a bar. I need some people to start as troops. There are always buff stallions at the bar!" And Vinyl proceeded to trot her way to a bar. She arrived at the destination and opened he door. She was hit by a wall of that all-to familiar scent: Fermented cider... She walked in a few steps and looked in the corner at a group of 4 stallions, 2 earth, 1 unicorn, and one pegasus, playing a game of pool. By their looks, she thought that flattery might be best. She walked up to the table. "Hey boys," she said, playfully. "Might I join?" She was greeted by only grunts and huffs. Vinyl smiled and said, "Ok... I guess I still get to keep these 1000 bits..." That's when the group started to listen to her. "What was it you wanted?", the unicorn asked. "I'm going to make a world order that'll take down the New Lunar Republic and the Solar Empire. And I thought a group of strong," Vinyl paused, feeling their biceps, "and handsome," she really just wanted to leave the bar at this point, "stallions like you four would do more than a good job." "What's in it for us?" "How about 1,000 bits?" "While that may be a perk, it's not enough... what else?" Vinyl really didn't want to resort to this, but she had to. She turned and walked a few steps before turning her head over her shoulder and said, "How about some...'alone time?'" She watched as the four just looked at her. The pegasus' wings flared. "Oh, and boys", she said, still keeping the playful tone in her voice,"tell your other strong friends about my offer. see if they want to get in on the...fun..." Vinyl then turned and walked out the door, swaying her hips. When she got outside the door, she just stopped and shuddered. "I think I'm going to be sick.." Next on the list: Stallion surveyors... 2: Construction Vinyl found the office and entered into the door. She took a few steps and was greeted by a friendly mare. "Good afternoon," said the mare. "Thanks. You too," Vinyl replied. "What can I do for you, Miss?" "I needed to buy a large spot of land here in Mane-hattan. I've had my eye on it for a while." "Okay, Just tell me the one you would like to have." "I believe it was the largest one on the out-skirts of the city." The mare at the desk got wide-eyed. "The 5-mile by 5-mile square?" "Yes, I believe that's the one." "All right. Let me go get the manager." "Yep. Take your time," Vinyl said as she slouched into a chair and put on her headphones. About 10-15 minutes later, a stallion with a name tag that bore the name 'manager' walked out to Vinyl. Vinyl turned off her music. "Miss-uh-," the manager started. "Vinyl. Vinyl scratch," Vinyl replied. "Well, Miss Scratch, I understand that you would like to buy our largest available spot of land?" "Yes, sir." "Well if so that's fine. Just come to the back and we'll fill out the necessary paperwork." "Lead the way!" After paperwork that seemed to be the size of a phone-book was filled out, Vinyl had her hoof on a new spot of land, and lost another 250,00 bits. "Thanks, again," Vinyl told the manager "Pleasure doing business with you, Miss Scratch," He replied. Vinyl went walking along the streets trying to find her next destination. the Colt Construction Company. She was trotting down to the place marked on the map. After a while she finally reached her location she needed to be. She walked into the office and saw a mare working at her computer behind a desk. "Hi there," the mare said. "Hello," Vinyl replied. I'm going to need something built. Something big." "Okie-dokie. let me ring up the manager. He might be busy, so you'll probably have to wait." "Tell him to take his time. I've got all day," Vinyl said, and put her head-phones on, and sat down. A few minutes later the manager came out of the back of the building. "Hello, Miss," he said to her. "Hello, sir!" "So from what I understand, you want us to make a large structure for you?" "Yes. And I have the blueprints right here." Vinyl produced the blueprints from her saddle-bag and gave it to the manager. As he inspected the blueprints, his eyes practically turned into dollar signs. "This I'll take lots of money... About 750,000 bits..." "Do we need paperwork?" "Lots..." "Well then, what are we waiting for!" "Let's go to the back, Miss... Paperwork awaits us." "Pleasure doing business with you," said the manager, shaking hooves with Vinyl. "In 6-8 months, you'll have your base finished." "Wonderful! See you then." Now that that was out of the way, Vinyl needed something to do while her base was being made. She saw a poster. The Mane-hattan fair was coming up soon. Perhaps she could put up a recruiting booth? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinyl was there, at the recruiting booth about 1 month later. She had high-hopes for the day. Her little table in one of the buildings had everything from info books, posters, and more. She just didn't have the heart to tell any-pony that they were all digitally created images. Her heart sank, however, with each passerby who didn't even so much as look at her table. A stallion walked up to her, noticing the depressed expression on her face, he said, "Bad day, huh?" "Yeah..," Vinyl replied. "Well, may I take one of these info-booklets here?" "Always! And take more for your friends if you want." "Sure thing. I'll be thinking about it. I'll be here tomorrow, so I should have an answer then." "Okay, see you then!" "You too," the stallion replied as he levitated the booklet in his magic field and started to walk a little ways. Vinyl was happy. Really happy. Some-pony actually was interested in the Dubstep Order. Yes! Vinyl's spirits rose, exited for the recent development. Not too long after this, a black pegasus with a dark-green mane and eyes came up to the table. "Uh-What positions do you have open?" "Soldier, strategic adviser, scientist, technician, personal assistant. To the head of the Dubstep Order, and... that's it for now. I'll have more position applications tomorrow." "Oh -uh- I think I'd like the -uh- personal assistant." Vinyl went searching for the application, however she couldn't find it. "Rats," Vinyl thought to herself. "I knew I was forgetting something!" "Uh- Are you okay?" "Well It appears that I have forgotten to print the application." "Oh -uh- well, okay. I can wait until tomorrow when it's printed out if you want." "Well...actually, I think it'd be fine if you got the job. there's only one application for it, any-hay. And I'd just like to say," Vinyl stuck out a hoof, "I'm Vinyl. Head of the Dubstep Order." "Oh -uh- well nice to meet you. Uh- ma'am.," the pegasus replied, shaking Vinyl's hoof. "Well as the personal assistant, you will be living with me. In about 5-8 months. I'll send you a letter when the 'application' has processed." "Oh. Well -uh- I'll see you then. Here is my address. See you then." "Yup you ,too." Just as the Black pegasus flew off, Vinyl caught a glimpse of a green flame on the pegasus' flank. Vinyl looked at the card. "Huh," Vinyl said to herself. "Green-Fire. What a nice name!" 3: "Miss Vinyl?" Vinyl was at her desk the next day of the fair. She was waiting for any-pony else who might come to her desk. Then a familiar-looking stallion walked up to the desk. "Hey there," he said. "I was here yesterday. And I wanted to sign up. For a soldier." "Okay," Vinyl replied. "Let me get the application." Vinyl went rummaging under desk before finding her stash of soldier applications. "Okay, here you are, sir." "Thanks," replied the stallion, and started to fill out the application. A few minutes later, a small group of mares and stallions walked up to the desk and started asking questions. Vinyl answered them all to the best of her abilities, and before she knew it, she was talking to a group of 4 mares and 6 stallions. After a little while of consulting in their minds, all but 2 of the ponies signed up. After a while, a few more mares came to the desk, and some stallions, all throughout the day. Vinyl went and looked at her supply of applications and realized she was starting to see a dent in the tons of applications she made. This made her happy. After a while, a familiar black pegasus flew up to the table. "Hello, Green-Fire," Vinyl said when she saw the pegasus. "Hello, ma'am," she replied. "Do you mind if I could stay at your desk for this day?" "I thought you had your own stand selling, what was it,... food?" "I do. I mean did. Fair officials asked me to close down my stand." "Why? What did you do?" "I don't know. I think they said something about a health-code violation, but I read the health stuff before I even set up my stand. But it doesn't surprise me either way. Not too many ponies in this world like me... Only five I can think of." "Who?" "My mom, my brother, my husband, my little filly, and you." "Well, those people who don't like you are dumb. I don't know how any-pony could dislike a sweet pegasus like you" "Oh. Well -uh- thank you ma'am," Green-Fire said in her usual timid voice, which Vinyl found some-what charming. "Hey Green-Fire?" "Yeah, ma'am?" Vinyl looked down at Green-Fire and said, "We are going to have a lasting friend-ship... I can tell." "Oh. Well I -uh- hope so, ma'am." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Well Green-Fire, The fair is closing down, now. Are you going home?" "Yes, ma'am." "Are you going to come on down to my table again, tomorrow?" "Sure." "Great, well I'll see you then." "Yep. You too, ma'am." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About 6 months after the fair, Vinyl was woken up by a knock on the door of the apartment she was renting. She was in apartment 34. She went rolled out of bed and opened the door to see a vaguely familiar stallion in the doorway. "Miss Vinyl?", he said. "That's me," Vinyl replied. "I'm the manager of the Colt Construction Company. I just needed to tell you that the utterly huge build you asked for is now complete." "Perfect! Thank you so much!" "Your welcome, Miss Vinyl," the manager said, and walked out of the door. "Now to start writing letters to all of the applicants..," vinyl said as she levitated a quill and paper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next week Vinyl Greeted all of her applicants in the large field of her base. "Troops," She said to the 1598 ponies in the field. "I'm going to run an evaluation to see if you all are ready for the life of service. Now, all of you, split into 3 lines as even as possible. I'll let you figure it out. You should all be smart enough." After a few minutes of shuffling around, Vinyl said to the troops, "Okay, this line here, you are doing push-ups. This line, you are doing sit-ups. And this line here, you are doing the mile run. If you run one time around the big field you are in, that is one mile. Start here, and run around it once. Each of you received a tag when you came in? If not, raise your hoof. No-pony? Great. Now when you all are done with your time, there are 5 computers, walk over to them and type in your score. For those doing the mile-run, we have a sensor that will automatically log in your running time. When you all are done with your exercises, just go and do the next exercise, you don't need to wait for that group to be done, just do it. I will shout out the name of those who did not make it tomorrow at noon. Is that understood?" "YES MA'AM!" "Hmmmm... We'll need to work on that. Now, GO!" Vinyl turned around to see Green-Fire right behind her with all of her bags packed and ready to move in. "I'm here, ma'am," She said. "Wonderful! My place is the building right over there. Open the door to enter and my place is the door on the very end of the hall." "Thank you, ma'am." 4: "Thanks for everything" 'Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!' Vinyl's alarm went off at 7:30 A.M. just like all the troops she had at her base. She sat up, smacked the button on top of her alarm-clock. and rubbed her eyes eyes to see Green-Fire up and buzzing already. "Good morning, ma'am," Green-Fire said when she saw that Vinyl had rose. "Wow," Vinyl replied. "You're already up." "Yes, ma'am. I set my alarm 30 minutes before yours. Oh, and I have breakfast waiting in the dining room for you." "Did you make enough for you, too?" "Oh no, ma'am. I already ate." "Hmmm...Well I like your initiative." "Oh. Thank you, ma'am." After Vinyl ate a great breakfast of oat-meal, she walked around the base, Green-Fire ever-present by her side. They walked around base until it hit about 11:55, then they decided to head back o the field. "Now," Vinyl yelled out to all of the Dubstep Order troops,"this is a list of ponies that did NOT make the cut..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Well, out of all you that signed up, 1,423 isn't a bad turnout for all of you who signed up through billboards, ads, and whatever other form of advertising we had," Vinyl said to the mass of ponies in the field. "And more sign up each day from the same means. I'm happy we had a turnout as great as this. And some rules: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are going to be training days. All other days are days to do what you all want around the base. Understood?" "YES MA'AM!" "Great! Now, all I have left to tell you is: It's Tuesday, so go run about. that will be all." "HOOAH!" Vinyl turned to look at Green-Fire, who was right behind her. "You know what?" "Yes, ma'am?" "I think it'd be great if we could go about the base, and do whatever we'd like." "I'm in. Uh- ma'am." "Sweet! Let's go!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "How did you like your time today, Green-Fire?", Vinyl asked as they were entering their room. "I had lots of fun. Thank you, ma'am." "Sure thing! We should do it again sometime." "Yes, I agree, ma'am. But, with all due respect, I'm terribly tired, and would like to sleep." "Yeah. I'm a bit exhausted ,too." "Oh." "Yes?" "Thanks for everything." "Yup! Anytime." "Okay... well good-night." "See you in the morning." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinyl was eating her breakfast, 6 months later, when she heard a knock on her door. She went over to the huge door and opened it to find a mail-mare in the doorway. "Special delivery from Princess Luna herself," the mail-mare said. "Thank you," Vinyl replied, and took the letter. She tore it open to read the news inside. "Oh no..," She said quietly. "What's the matter, ma'am?",Green-Fire asked Vinyl "Luna requests war with us in 5 days. Monday." "Oh... well -uh- should I rally the troops?" "Yes please." Green-Fire walked over to a speaker and said, "All D.O. troops to the field. Repeat, all D.O. troops to the field. ASAP." Green-Fire turned to Vinyl. "Will that be all, ma'am?" "Yes, Green-Fire, thank you." Vinyl walked out to the field full of ponies and shouted to them all, "Good morning, troops!" "GOOD MORNING, MA'AM!" "Well, I've just received bitter-sweet news in the mail. The bitter part, is that the N.L.R. has declared war against us. Also, because of that, the next five days, until the battle, will be nothing but training. The sweet, however, is that we will be able to test out our weapons now... so I have a question for you... Are you going to perform your best these next five days?" "YES MA'AM!" "Will we win the battle?!" "YES MA'AM!!" "AND WILL WE MAKE THE N.L.R. TROOPS GO RUNNING HOME TO THEIR MOMMIES, CRYING?!!" "YES MA'AM!!!" "Hooah?" "HOOAH!!!" "That's what I thought! Now, let's all get out there, and train like you never trained before!" "HOOAH!" "That will be all..." 5: Growing as friends. (Sad.) Four days later, Vinyl walked into the research lab and approached the main scientist. "The weapon progress?" "There is enough Machine-wubs for every troop, enough sidearms for every troop, about 1,000 Bass-zookas, 750 R.P.D.s, 1,500 Bass-cannons, and a whole armory of vehicles and airplanes." "And the secret weapons?" "All done. Both of them. Your powered exo-suit is finished, and so is the space-bass." "Ahh, the space-bass. Destined to be even more powerful than the Orbital Friendship Cannon. And my suit, the Bass-Dropper, does it have the rear jet-hooves?" "Yes, ma'am." "The front-hoof blasters?" "Yes, ma'am." "And the shoulder mounted bass-cannon?" "Yes, ma'am." "Perfect. We will need them tomorrow." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinyl went about her daily business until about 8:30 P.M. when she rallied all the troops in the field. "...And so my loyal troops, tomorrow at 8:00 A.M, we will go and meet the N.L.R. in battle!" "HOOAH!" "Now, get to bed. It's about that time..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "So Green-Fire," Vinyl said as the pair was in their room, lying in bed. "I was wanting to, you know, get to know you more." "Okay," Green-Fire replied. "What would you like to know?" "Well, I guess it'd kind be a bit more personal matters, so if I'm poking my muzzle where it doesn't belong, just tell me and I'll change the subject. But I was wondering. At the fair, it couldn't get off of my mind that in the list of people you sail liked you, you never mentioned your father. Why might that be?" "Y-you would like t-to know that?" "Remember if you'd rather not, you don't have to answer." "W-well, okay. I just need to get all of this off of my chest..." "O...kay... I'll listen, if you need me to." "Okay, well here goes: my father never liked me that much. He was an -uh- how you might say, alcoholic, and he would..," Green-Fire paused as a single tear rolled down the side of her muzzle. "He would yell at my mom a lot. And if I did anything he didn't like, like not call him sir all the time, he'd beat me. That's why I call you ma'am all the time." "Oh... well -uh- to change subject then, what is your family up to?" "Nothing. They cant do anything." "Why ever not?" Green-Fire started to sob a bit. "Be cause they -sniff- are... dead..." "Oh, well -uh." "It happened the day I went home the last day of the fair." I went into my -sniff- house and was greeted ,like -sniff-normal, by my little filly and husband. I sat down and my filly jumped -sniff- into my lap. A few -sniff- minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. I got -sniff- up and walked over, and -sniff- when I opened it, I saw a Solar -sniff- Empire troop in the door. A few more rushed -sniff- into my home and grabbed my husband and my little filly. I was able to -sniff- escape the S.E.'s grasp, barely. I flew -sniff- off a few feet before turning to see that they, locked my husband in -sniff- a room with my little filly. "As the S.E. troops -sniff- walked out of the house, they boarded the door and brought in -sniff- a pyro unit and torched the house. The last thing I -sniff- saw of the house... was my husband and -sniff- filly in the same room. They were in -sniff- pain, I could tell by their -sniff- expressions. Then... the house collapsed right on -sniff- top of them, crushing them. After the fire died -sniff- down ,all I could find in the wreckage was the necklace I -sniff- gave my filly, and my husbands wedding -sniff- band... and two burned -sniff- skulls..." Green-Fire began weeping loudly, the theater of those horrible images playing in her mind. "My poor baby! She didn't even get her cutie mark..!" Vinyl walked over to Green-fire and put a hoof on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry. I feel horrible for your loss. However, you mentioned you mother and brother ,too. At least you still have them, right?" "Nope... They are gone ,too. "My mom at least died peacefully in her sleep, but my brother wasn't so lucky. He -sniff- was flying to his friends house in pony -sniff- ville when a blue pegasus flew into him as she was practicing her tricks. The collision hurt my -sniff- brothers wing, and he started to fall. The rainbow-maned pegasus -sniff- flew for him and tried to save him, but even at her incredible speeds, she -sniff- wasn't fast enough." Vinyl looked down at the very teary eyes of her friend. "Do you need to cry it out?" Green-Fire looked at her and nodded. Vinyl bent over and embraced Green-Fire, letting her cry all over her shoulder. "That's it... Just let it all out..." After about 15 minutes, Green-Fire let go of Vinyl at looked at her and said, "Thank you -sniff-, ma'am." "Green-Fire. I'm not your father. you don't need to call me 'ma'am' anymore," Vinyl replied. Green-Fire looked up at Vinyl, smiled, and said, "Okay." "Well, I think it's a good idea to get some shut-eye now." "Sure -sniff- thing." 6: War. That morning, vinyl was talking to the troops on the field."Troops... It's about that time... The time that we launch our first attack on the New Lunar Republic. The time that we assert ourselves as a force to be reckoned with. So... Will we do this?!" "YES MA'AM!" "Hmmm... Weak... I didn't hear you!" "YES MA'AM!!" "Exactly. Now let's get out there, and win this battle.." All the troops ran off. When the troops stopped, they were greeted by a huge army of ponies wearing black-and-blue suits. Vinyl took a few steps in front of her line of troops, pointed a hoof towards the enemy front and yelled, "ATTACK!!" The D.O. troops rushed to the N.L.R. line. Bullets, magic, and wubz were flying through the air. Tanks, shooting. Troops, firing. Ponies dying on both sides. Vinyl flew into the fray using her jet-hooves. As she saw N.L.R. troops falling all around her, she realised for the first time how intense real battle was. Nothing like the video games she played before. Her powered armour was being pelted by bullets. Then she really saw the danger she faced. As she looked forward, she was staring down the barrel of a tank. The armour couldn't take a direct hit from a tank shell. She flew over to the top, and ripped off the top hatch of tank. When she emerged, all of the ponies inside were dead, and she had blood splatters on her armour. She smiled as she put a hole in the tanks fuel supply, and the gas leaked everywhere. She blasted the gas all over the ground, and hit it with a laser beam, igniting the fuel, catching all who stood In it on fire. Vinyl looked up and saw a plane, taking advantage of the noise and action going on below. It bore the letters 'S' and 'E' on the bottom of a wing. She knew it was a Solar Empire spy plane, and took off to base. It was too far gone for Vinyl to do anything. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Princess Celestia," a Solar Empire General said. "Our spy-plane got enough photos and intel to launch a surprise attack on the battle happening." "Wonderful! Make the attack plans and send out the troops as soon as possible." "Yes, princess." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a few moe hours of battle, a line of white-and-yellow came into view, and it slowly got larger and larger. Suddenly, each opponent had to worry about fighting three sides of troops, now that the Solar Empire was involved. Vinyl looked over her shoulder and saw a familiar pegasus. "Green-Fire!", Vinyl yelled. "What are you doing?" "I'm helping..," vinyl replied. As she picked up a rifle and began to shoot at the enemy. As the battle was going, for what seemed like an eternity, Vinyl's thoughts were interrupted by a voice yelling "MEDIC!" Vinyl recognised the voice and flew as fast as she could to the position. Then Vinyl was heartbroken when she saw Green-Fire laying on the ground, bleeding wounds from her leg and side. Vinyl knelt down and picked her up, and flew towards the medic tent, which was pretty much pretty much a mobile hospital. Vinyl lied her down on the table in the building. With a tear in her eye, she said to the medic, "Make her well. I have a battle to finish." Vinyl was fighting, fighting, and fighting even more, out of shear rage. Taking down tons of enemy troops, one right after another, along side her own troops. Vinyl was mainly targeting the latest threat of the Solar Empire. After her troops were taking down much of the S.E.'s forces, a stallion with five stars on his suit shouted, "RETREAT!" The solar empire pulled out of the battle, leaving nopony on the bloody scene but the Dubstep Order, the New Lunar Republic, and dead, bloody bodies. The war continued to ensue until dark, ponies dying on both sides. It was not until Luna herself stepped onto the scene that the battle had hit a pause. Luna said, to vinyl in the royal voice, "VINYL SCRATCH! COMEST THOU HITHER!" Vinyl trotted up to the princess who was summoning her and replied, "What do you need?" " I HA- oh. Excuse me. I have an idea that I think both of us may come to terms on." "And what is this, 'idea?'" "I propose we form an alliance, being as we share a common enemy." "The Solar Empire?" "Indeed. However, this will not be permanent. It will last only until our foe is crushed." Vinyl just thought for a moment, thinking through all the potential pros, or cons. After a few moments, Vinyl replied. "I see more good than bad. I agree." Luna and Vinyl shook hooves on it. Luna used the royal voice, again, to talk to all the ponies. "TROOPS OF MINE AND VINYL'S! FROM THIS MOMENT UNTIL THE ENEMY SOLAR EMPIRE IS DEFEATED, WE ARE OFFICIALLY A TEAM!" All of Vinyl's troops yelled, "HOOAH!" All of the NLR replied, "HUZZAH!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinyl went straight to the huge medics tent after the battle to check on Green-Fire. She burst end in the entrance and said, "How's Green-Fire?" The medic replied, saying, "Well it's mostly good news. The bullet that hit her side wasn't bad. All we had to do was remove it and bandage it. As for her leg? It got infected. Badly. To the point we had to amputate. However, with the tech we have, we were able to make her a bionic leg that is directly linked to her nerves. She is able to completely control normally." "Outstanding!" "In fact, she about to wake up here in a few minutes." As the medic and Vinyl were talking, Green-Fire began to squirm. She raised up into a sitting position and rubbed her head. As she looked down, she noticed her leg. "AHHH! What's happened to my leg?" "Well Miss Green-Fire, we had to amputate it, but we replaced the leg with a bionic one that should be controlled like normal." Green-Fire moved her leg and just looked at it awestruck. "Uh...wow... Amazing..." Information chapter. Read this before the fanfic itself. This uses bits, obviously. And because I'm not too sure about the equestrian currency system, let's just say 1 bit=1 dollar.) (Has sex tag for some little jokes and kissing. [Not make-out sessions...] But nothing too much else, though. And gore for bleeding, and ponies getting blown to bits, 'cause well, there's legit war in it...) (And O.C. because my O.C. I made is in it as a side character border-lining on main character, and another made-up pony that is a main character.) (I should also mention that the Romance and tragedy don't come until later in the fic. I added comedy, and not really adventure, but action. [I put adventure for lack of 'action' tag..]) (I will update this page if I think of anything else it needs, so check it every-now-and-then) (Okay, so the problem with the writing is that I wrote it down on a notebook paper first and each chapter was about 1-3 pages long, so I tried to combine 2 of the chapters i wrote down in my notebook into one, and it was very hard for me to try to blend them together well. This is a comment from Saakra: "Soo... are you actually trying to write something here? As of how I see it now, either it's just you skipping places and writing whatever comes to mind minus everything or you're just very very new and inexperienced to writing." Thank you for bringing this up for every-one else. And to answer, I am fairly new to writing. Sorry.) ='(
1: Origin of an Empire "Finally.
What a nice name!"
3: "Miss Vinyl?" Vinyl was at her desk the next day of the fair. Open the door to enter and my place is the door on the very end of the hall." "Thank you, ma'am."
4: "Thanks for everything" 'Buzz! Now, let's all get out there, and train like you never trained before!" "HOOAH!" "That will be all..."
5: Growing as friends. Green-Fire looked up at Vinyl, smiled, and said, "Okay." "Well, I think it's a good idea to get some shut-eye now." "Sure -sniff- thing."
6: War. Amazing..."
Information chapter. Sorry.) ='(
