I faintly saw a glow of all magic colors and heard the flaps of Pegasi wings. The pieces of rubble that had me pinned to the ground was carefully lifted up one by one and after each piece, the pain began to lessen. The piles of debris was put off to the side. "Are you alright" I looked up and saw a purple alicorn kneeling in front of me. I pulled myself up and tried to bow but struggled. She put her hoof on my shoulder..."it's ok you don't have too, your already in pain as I can see, so save your strength". "Umm may I ask, who are you?" She looked puzzled at me, and presented with "I am princess Twilight Sparkle, so that you may know, but you can call me Twilight" Do you think you can help me to the hospital princess?" I asked. "Oh yes of course". As we headed to the building and I only thought to ask...." What happened? Why is the town half destroyed?" "Well..." She starts "... It was a storm that showed up out of no where and the Pegasus weather team didn't plan for a storm, we're still trying to find out" As we walk I couldn't help but notice the ruins of the town. Blood was all over the place, debris was scattered, and the air was filled with smoke, and the smell was pretty bad too. The place reeked of burnt wood, flesh, and surprisingly delicious food, well cause the food was burnt too, but it didn't do much to cover the smell of the other two. Stopping me in mid thought Twilight asked me what my name was. It was hard for me to think of such a thing. How could I have forgotten my name, also what happened to me, how did I get under the pieces of debris? "Umm..actually I...I don't remember". "Hmmm...The walls from the town hall falling on you must have hit you so hard that you could have gotten amnesia. Do you remember anything, like your past, what kind of pony you are?". I thought for a while. "No, sadly I can't." When we reached the hospital, HOLY SHIT was is crowded. "Oh I'm sorry, but we are over filled with ponies right now, I wish I could help you but we are helping the extremely hurt or severely injured." Said the nurse pony. "Oh it's ok we'll come back at another time" Twilight stated. "Where do you think we should go?" I asked. "Hmmm I could see if Celestia could help with the pain and also help you with your memory." I agreed. ========================== We arrived at the front doors of Celestia's chambers. I felt kind of nervous to see her, I never thought that I would personally meet the princess of Equestria, the one who every pony looks up too and the one who raises the sun. It's a chilling thought. Twilight knocked on the doors of her chambers. The door opened, "Come in". We entered. "Ahh Twilight, how is every pony in Ponyville?". "Uhh could be better, but I need a favor Celestia. This pony is in major pain and he has amnesia, so I was wondering if you could help?" Celestia gladly helps and casts a healing spell on me,God Damn that feels better, I look at Twilight who is deep in thought and she looks a bit concerned, I worry about her sometimes, the fact that she is a princess and has duties that she has never had before, the stress must be eating her up. "And his amnesia... What is your name?" I put my head down in response to her question. But Twilight answers for me, "He doesn't know. He doesn't know anything about himself. He doesn't know that he is an Alicorn..." Right at that point I realized that I could have just looked down at myself earlier to find out what kind of pony I was. But the thing that baffled me was why I was an Alicorn, I have no title, I'm no prince, nor do I wish I was one. "Hmmm... I'm surprised that you have such a strong case of amnesia, judging from the damages that I saw on you, a concussion seems more logical." "So do you know anything about me?" I asked. "Hmmm I think I have something somewhere in a book in my library. Give me some time and I will notify you if I find anything within the records" "Ok" I said gladly. I'm hoping that she can find out who I am, it's killing me that I don't know. "Twilight could you take him back to Ponyville, maybe your friends could help him" We both agree and teleported back to Ponyville. Chapter 2Chapter 2 I can never get used to the feeling I get whenever I got teleported. It always made me feel sick. I guess my memory is coming back slowly. "So where are we going Twilight?" She kind of stood there for a bit in wonder before answering. "I can bring you to my friends and see if they can help you" "Why can't you help me?" "I still have to find out what caused the storm and help with the clean up. Here, this is the locations of their homes, see if they can help you with anything." She then teleported to a different location. I looked at the map and I'm confused as shit. /I don't know where anything is on this map\ there were five locations. A farm, a boutique, a building that looks like a dessert, a house in the middle of the woods, and there is an arrow that says "in the sky" and points up. The one closest to me was "Sugar Cube Corner". I walked up to the door and...... ....Ow my FUCKING HEAD! As I opened my eyes I see a pink pony staring straight at me. "Celestia Fuck!" And I jumped to my hooves. "HI! I'm Pinkie Pie what's your name? I never seen you before, are you new you-must-know-Twilight-because-I-saw-you-with-her......." Holy fuck can this pony talk any fucking faster. I don't even know what she is saying? "....and then I was like 'nope ill kick your ass any day'" "HEY! Please Shut The Fuck Up!" I couldn't help but yell at her, my head hurt to much. "Ok!" She said. She just stood there looking at me with the largest grin that I have have ever seen on any pony. It was kind of creepy actually, I looked around with just my eyes to try to find some kind of excuse to get away from her or at least to make it less awkward. "Oh I'm sorry that I knocked you over. Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner!" Where does this girl get all her energy from? "Sooo what's your name?" Again I put my head down in response to her question, and measly said "I don't know". "What? How do you not know what your name is? I have never met any pony who doesn't know who they are." "Well, I'm the first. Umm Pinkie your friends with Twilight right?" "Of course I am! She is like the bestest friend ever! Why?!" "Well she said that you could help me with my memory. And I noticed when I experienced things, I remember how I thought of them before." "Oh oh! I know I could make you cupcakes or something. Maybe you food will help your remember things cause I know it does for me, just wait here!" I got the fuck out as soon as she went inside. I can't believe Twilight is friends with her, I feel bad that she has to deal with Pinkie on a daily basis. But I'll come back later. I then went to another location on the map the "Carousel Boutique". I knocked on the front door. The building was very elaborate and primed with detail. A merry go round on the top, which would be cool if it were to spin, custom made windows and a variety of colors. Who ever had this place definitely has a high taste in design. The door opened and a beautiful white unicorn appeared, with what looked like her sister or something next to her. "Hello, welcome to the Carousel Boutique, my name is Rarity, how may I help you?" Like the dumb ass that I am, I just stand there blushing looking into her eyes and not saying anything. I lost any brain activity. "Are you ok darling?" "Oh umm yes uhh are you one of Twilight's friends?" "Why yes of course did she send you here, to help me perhaps cause I would really appreciate that what a thoughtful..." "I'm sorry to stop you short but I'm wondering if you could help me?" "Anything for a friend of Twilight's. What's your name?" I'm getting sick of this question. "I want to know if you could help me with my memory because I lost it after getting knocked out during the storm. I don't know anything about myself nor do I know of any way to know so." "Hmmm, I know ponies express themselves through the clothes they wear, I have some colt clothes that I made a while back somewhere. Come on in and try some on, you Might be able to know what kind of pony you are based on your style." I walked in. It was a mess, there was fabric, gems, pony manikins, and dresses scattered all over the place. Her idea wasn't that bad either. I mean the rich, important ponies wear expensive elaborate clothing, Royals wear amazing clothing that symbolize their power and role in society. Each type of pony, based off their talent wear different things. Maybe I could find out what my talent is based on my favorite choice of clothing. As I waited for her to get the clothing, I sat there and looked at the room more carefully. She has many expensive, high society things. I'm surprised that she lives in Ponyville and not somewhere like Canterlot. She returned with a coat rack full of clothes. There was so much weight on that rack that the wheels were screeching, almost making my ears bleed. "Ok let's get started! Now what on here do you think you like?" "I have no idea" I tried some on. "Hmm, no" "oh lord no!" "To much color" "not enough color".... She really can't make up her mind. So she made me try on a shit load of different types of clothes. I wasn't really interested in any of them. "Rarity, I think don't think this is going to work. None of these styles are appealing to me and..." "Oh don't speak such nonsense, one time I spent three days with one client just trying to help her find her style. It wasn't the best three days cause she was bitchy but it worked out." "Well I don't want to spend three days here". Like I had anything important to do anyway. "Oh no problem dear I'll definitely find you your thing, even if it kills me!" Ok just to save time I'm just going to say that I tried on a lot of stuff and I found what I like. It was the kind of old but kick ass looking clothing but the clothes emit light which was awesome. "Hey Rarity why do you have clothing with lights and lasers?" Oh I made some for my friend Vinyl, she wanted something ridiculous and coated with lasers and strobe lights for the rave she was going to perform at. Word was that other ponies loved her clothes so I made more, but only a few ponies bought them cause Vinyl was their idol and they follow whatever she does. So this is what is left. I'm glad you like these. I also took some ugly armor for centuries ago and spruced them up with fabulous lights to make it more appealing. Which is what your wearing." I'd have to admit it was cool. It kind of reminded me of daedric armor based on the color of it but it looked more modern since it had pieces of electronics on it and instead of just red coming out of it it was a fade of the colors of the rainbow. "Alright I like this, I like it a lot." "Great sweetie so that will be 800 bits". Wait....da fuck? "I have to pay for it? Damn. I don't even remember if I have any money." Well...your one of Twilight's friends so you can keep it. Plus no pony would ever buy it unless they had that taste in clothing but whatever." "Wow, thanks a lot Rarity, I really appreciate it. But I have to go now and talk to your other friends to see if they can help me." "Your welcome, I hope to see you again sometime." "I'll pick up the clothes later on today." We hugged each other and waved good bye and I looked at the map once again. The next place that I was going was taking me into a small forest which had just one small road so finding it shouldn't be too hard. Chapter 3Chapter 3 Holy Shiiiiiiiiiit is this road long. I've been walking on it for like two hours. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!, I seriously don't think that I'll be able to find this place." I muttered to myself in frustration and loss of sanity. I did like the fauna of the woods though, it made me feel a bit better. "I swear I'm walking in circles or something". I continued to walk down the path until a cottage off to the side caught my attention. It was covered in vegetation and there was a little bridge that goes over a little river on the path to the door. I knocked on the door but there was no response. I tried again and the same thing happened. I looked into the circle window to the left and saw a yellow Pegasus and tried to yell hello but I guess I did it a bit to loud because she yelped and flew up to the ceiling. I walked up to the door and knocked softer and said "I'm sorry for scaring you but I want to know if you can help me?" No response. "I'm a friend of Twilight's" I heard something behind the door this time, it was very faint. "I want to know if you could help me?" I asked again. The door opened and a very adorable yellow Pegasus with pink hair peaks her head into the crack of the door. My heart exploded. She was obviously very shy since she didn't say anything and that she didn't look directly at me, her eyes were more to the ground. "So... Would you mind helping me with something?" "S.." "Excuse me?" "Su..." She talks really quietly, it's kid of annoying but cute as hell. "Ok... I want to know if you could help me remember who I am, and I want to know if you have any ideas?" Her facial expression changed and she opened the door completely. She seemed more open and friendly, while she was thinking however still very shy about it. "Umm...I don't think I can because I don't know of what you want me to help you with" she talks in almost a whisper but its talking at the same time. It's like breathing with your mouth open and trying to talk at the same time. "Well my memory is gone and I need your help so that I can remember who I am. Rarity has helped me so far and apparently based on the style of clothing I chose depicted what kind of pony I am." "I'll try." She waved me inside her home. It kind of smelled of animal but not bad to the point to where it reeked so bad that you couldn't breath. There were a lot of beds and bird houses inside and her decor consisted of very natural looking things and basic furnishings. My mind can't get over the fact of how fucking adorable she is, it's all that I have been thinking about this entire time that I lost focus of what I came there to do. There was a very long silence after she went to her couch and sat down, I suppose she was still thinking. I guess I was making her more uncomfortable since I have been staring at her the whole time. "Well I guess since Rarity helped you by picking clothing that represents you. I suppose that I could do the same but with animals. I'll have them all group up and you can pick one. But that will be tomorrow, it's late" I completely lost track of time. "Do you mind if I crash here? Umm.." "Fluttershy" "Oh. Yes. Thank you I forgot to ask" Fluttershy thinks for a moment and says that I can sleep at her place upstairs. I say good night and head up to the bed and I fall asleep. ========================== When I woke up, Fluttershy was gone and so was her asshole bunny. I got used to the smell already. I wasn't really sure of what to do. She had no books or games or anything. I walked around her house and went outside. She had many beautiful gardens that surrounded her house. Flowers of all colors, bright green bushes and shrubs, and there was also a chicken coop in her backyard. Being here was very welcoming and it made me feel good. I came to a path that's near her house that I didn't notice before when I was trying to find her house yesterday. The road leads to a opening of a forest and upon retrospect I decided, since I didn't have anything better to do, to take a stroll in the forest. It was very dark in there, I could barely see my own hoof in front of my face. Lucky for me I did remember the spell for candlelight, which causes the tip of my horn to illuminate anything with a bright light that shows me where things are within a 10ft radius. The physics of this forest is somewhat different compared to the rest of Equestria. The animals, the weather, and plant life acts completely different. I kept hearing a growling noise like every 30 seconds to the point that it is scaring the shit out of me, and it's getting closer. I was about to panic but I remembered Fluttershy and her home. The idea of her kindness to me and the warm feeling I felt alone was able to calm me down. I trotted on and I found a ditch that is before Celestia's old castle, where the Tree of Harmony is. I was just down there looking around, but I saw something that I found odd. There was a rock door that had MY cutie mark in the center of the door. There was also a plaque that was covered in moss and was deteriorating because of erosion that was next to the door attached to the wall, it read... "The ones with the ancient may find the secrets and def....... ords" The rest of the words were missing due to being out in the weather all the time. I was wondering what the rest said, and "one with the ancient" what the hell that meant I had no idea. I tried to fuck with the door a bit to see if I could somehow open it, but nothing I tried seem to work. There wasn't a lever or button or puzzle or anything. How in the son of a fuck am I going to open this door. Normally if something doesn't work I walk away from it but because this door has to do with me I MUST open it and see what's on the other side. I started bucking at it and running into it but the only thing I did is almost break my bones. I then tried one more time and ran into it, I hit the door so hard that it launched me a good 5ft backwards sending me flat on my back to the ground. I began to cry, not like sob crying, more of tears of anger and pain. Chapter 4Chapter 4 I ended up falling asleep. And I woke up in a tree house and...wait? WHAT! I thrusted myself up and looked around me. There were weird objects hanging from the ceiling, many potions and bottles all organized perfectly on oak wood shelves that I assume were made by "hand". I walked out of the room that I was in into a larger circular room with a cordon in the center filled with a green liquid within, I could feel the heat omitting overtop from it as i waved my hoof over it. I heard the front door open and I quickly hid behind the cordon and prayed to Celestia that who ever came through the door wasn't going to see me, but sadly that prayer wasn't answered when i heard a female voice say "oh look who is up and awake, you should lay back down for your own good sake." Haha, that's weird it rhymed. I went ahead and asked how I got there and who she is. "I found you sleeping on the ground, I knew that you were hurt based on your sound" Ok? another rhyme. "I'm trying to make a drink, to help you get back in sync." The rhymes are starting to get annoying. Probably because I don't get them. "Can you please speak normal and who are you" She stared at me for sometime with much frustration and sighed. "I'm Zecora, I'm a zebra, I was trying to make a potion to make you feel better and restore your strength. I found you passed out and a darkness was surrounding you. It took your shape and I tried to stop it from consuming you but it ran off". "A shadow of myself?" "Yes, the Darkness consumes ponies who are unaware of their surroundings and takes their form and seeks to destroy them. They can appear anywhere, it can even be your own shadow and will do anything to harm you, and will not stop till you cease to exist." I started to freak out. "How am I going to get back to Ponyville if that thing is hunting me down, it can be anywhere." "Sadly I don't know, how to defeat this dangerous foe" "How do I know if its near me?" "If your bones get the chills, then you must hide or get killed. I also may have a potion, to help with this commotion." She then handed me a bottle and told me to drink it and I did. I felt light headed and my vision became blurred. She said that the spell will last about 2 hours, which is enough time for me to get out of the forest. The potion is supposed to disable the darkness' ability to find me. I thanked her and walked out. She also gave me a map and I was going to head east back to Ponyville, I hoped since I didn't know what direction I was facing. I couldn't use the sun to determine where east is since the trees covered all sunlight basically. After a half an hour of walking I began to hear the growling again and it was way too close for comfort. "FUCK!" Something just bit my leg. I turned around and it was a Timberwolf. I bucked it in the face and began to run. It was barely fazed and quickly started to chase after me. I have to think of something, there has to be a way to trap this thing or at least stall it long enough for me to get away. *tick* "what the..." A giant log came swinging down from two trees just barely clipping my tail but lucky for me it smashed the Timberwolf's face, breaking it into pieces and launching its body a good 50ft. I continued to run until I thought I was far enough away just in case it was still somehow alive. This place is dangerous, no wonder why ponies don't go in here, it's just an area of death and madness. I approached a hill and looked on. I don't see much but hills and plant life, but I did see a city in the distance which now was my objective. Sadly It's been an hour and a half since I left and it will definitely take me about a day to get to the city. Though I had wings, I wasn't good at using them, I forgot how to fly. Plus if I did know I didn't have the stamina for that kind of distance, so the darkness will definitely find me soon. I decided to at least try to fly or glide maybe. I took a few steps back and opened my wings and sprinted. Using the wind I was able to glide over the tree tops and the feeling was amazing. The wind going through my mane, the sound of it blowing by me, and view was unbelievable. Celestia's beautiful sun setting on the horizon of mountains and the valley of trees in between and there was also a oasis with a bright vibrant color of blue and it looked fresh. I began to descend in altitude and I turned myself towards the oasis, since I knew I wasn't going to stay in the air much longer. I aimed myself at the pool of water and planned to crash in it. Yes I don't know how to land either though its so simple. I was gaining way to much speed and frantically flapped my wings against myself but I didn't slow down enough for a smooth landing. I hit the water and then the bottom of the pool. I swam buck up and crawled to the dirty floor of the forest. My body was swelling and the stinging pain that encased my body was horrific. Such a stupid idea. It was near dark and I needed somewhere to sleep. I had enough energy to create a small shelter made out if brush, leaves, twigs, and vine, but a fire was out of the question because it might give away my location to the darkness. I stacked some leaves together in a pile and laid down to rest. "Luna, may thy holy mare of the night protect me from evils that may try to take my life tonight." I then fell asleep. ========================== Ah fuck ugh...I....I...I can't breath When I opened my eyes a dark mass was standing before me (The darkness that took my form) had his red aura glow coming from his horn. He was choking me. "You seriously thought that you could escape me, pitiful filly, I'm surprised the storm didn't kill you in the first place, oh such a waste of effort." He let go of me and I fell to my face and gasped for breath. I tried to stand up but he bucked me in my face to knock me back down. "Oh please don't get up, nothing you do right now will help you, your Zebra friend isn't here to help you, so I'm going to take my time." I finally had enough breath to say something. "Who the fuck are you and why are you after me?" He had a surprised expression on his face. "What? You don't recognize me, I'm your buddy Septimus. You tried to defeat me many years ago but you look so much younger than I remember. A new body, lucky you and I'm surprised your friends aren't here." My head hurt and I got white flashes in my eyes of...things. "What are you? I've never seen you before, how do you know me, and what friends, I don't have any but Twilight." "My kind is called Dukar or Shadow Demon if you will, and I am their lord, their king. We tried to rule Equestria many centuries ago but were stopped by your kind. We almost eradicated all of your kingdom but some ponies went missing, you for example are one who survived. Oh what was your name, it's been too long, I haven't heard it for a while now what was it hmmm. Ahh yes, Sacred Energy. Platoon Commander of the 211th Winged Division of the Arcadian Army. You really thought you guys would win. And Princess Twilight Sparkle, yes I know her, she is a bit big of a job so we aren't touching her for a while but you, you're easy, you're nothing, no ones knows who you are or what your purpose was." I was stunned, confused, amazed, sad, happy and... I don't know. It was too much for me to take in. "Just for my own amusement I'm going to let you live, for now, I want to see if you can escape this forest alive. If you live and reach that city, ill let you live a little longer, but if you fail...well...free entertainment for me. Good Luck." He then teleported away. I didn't sleep for the rest of the night. Chapter 5Chapter 5 Well the only thing I'm glad about right now is that I know what my name is. Everything else however I don't understand, 'a new body' I'm pretty sure that I was born once and that I'm in my teens, not thousands of years old. I decided to put my thoughts about what happened aside for now, I had to get to the city. There was a path that, I hope, leads me straight to my destination and I had a good feeling about it because the dirt was hard from the previous ponies who traveled, and it seems like its used quite often. It started to rain. I kind of hated the fact that I didn't have any clothing for this weather nor did I know a spell for an umbrella or something. It was coming down hard, lightening going on all around me, hail the size of acorns pelting my face. "Ugh can't this possibly get any better!" Yes, yes it could. A bolt came out of the sky and struck a tree that was literally 30ft from me. I almost shit myself, I became temporarily blind from the light and I could feel the heat from the strike area. When my vision came back I looked at myself. My blue and white tail was now near black and singed half way up. Also a forest fire started from that bolt since there was fire all around me. I got up and sprinted on the trail from before, the fire has been spreading for a few hours I suppose. It was all around me and the fire had passed over that trail so I had to find a way around. Even though its raining, it's not enough to stop the blaze. I ran up a hill that was to the left of me and I looked out onto the valley. Most of it was on fire and was headed straight towards the city. There were weather ponies flying around dropping weather buckets over the fire to try to contain it. A pony on a chariot that was transporting two ponies who were helping with the containment of the fire saw me and asked if I wanted a ride. I gladly got in and we were headed to Manehatten. ========================== The city was very busy, taxi ponies all over the roads, hundreds of Pegasi flying around above the buildings, and the Unicorns and Earth ponies walking back and fourth on the streets. It's smelled of delicious food and flowers. We touched ground and they let me off and I waved good bye. I saw many stores and restaurants while walking around. Some of the clothing stores had some of Rarity's designs in the windows. Also Henny of the Hills was playing on Brideaway and I over heard that Coco Pommel is making the costumes this year, according to two ponies I was standing by waiting to cross the street. I didn't really know where to go or how to get back to Ponyville. I'd probably need to get some bits and get a flying chariot back to Ponyville, so I decided to get a job. I went around the city for about an hour and found a "help wanted" sign in a magic store window, I walked in and I asked if I could work. "Yea sure, If you know anything about magic." "Sadly I don't know much at all." "Well I can't help you there sorry." This happened about 5 more times, at a flower shop, a Library, a Food shop, a tool shop, and a repair shop. They didn't want me because I didn't have enough knowledge or the fact that I'm an Alicorn and don't know how to use magic, so I gave up. //You must head to apartment 748 on the third floor and meet me there in about 45 minutes\ Ahh who's voice was that in my head, it wasn't Septimus' voice, so I don't really have anything to fear, unless I'm a complete dumbass and just assume its him and he is trying to kill me. But I had no idea of how I'm getting back to Ponyville and it was a female pony's voice so, I'm just going to have to wing it. I eventually found apartment 748 and rang the buzzer. "Come in". I walked up two sets of stairs and knocked on the front door. A purple Pegasus with bright yellow eyes, and a grayish blue mane opened the door, "please enter" and I did. The apartment was old looking . It seems to be built almost 70 years ago but is still in really good shape. Her decor was very modern, and had a science theme or magic, I couldn't tell. There were floating objects pretty much everywhere, the lights, TV, glasses, silverware, trinkets, you name it, it was all levitating. " how did you get your home like this?" "Oh a friend of mine cast a spell. Anyway I need to talk to you about something important. My name is Mystic Dreams. I received letters from Princess Twilight asking anypony if they have seen you, because Flutterhy was concerned." "Wait you know Twilight?" "Yes, I had to help her before with something and we are good friends. Anyway I have a objective for you. I need you to help me find an ancient amulet from a dungeon. And apparently your the only one who can help me accomplish this." "Dungeons really? The fuck is this Skryim?" "Look do you want help me or not it's not like you have anything else better to fucking do!" /Sadly he was right. I had no where to go. I don't know what to do. I can't go through the forest again to get to Ponyville so I had no options\ "Ok Mystic Dreams, I will help you if afterwards you help me get back to Ponville, deal?" "Deal". ========================== We walked down a few alley ways to this old train station that was blocked off by a fence. We flew over the it and walked around a broken train. There was a deteriorated wooden trap door that was near one of the broken down buildings, and she opened it. The stench from it was baaaad. It smelt like rotten food, dead bodies, and shit. "Oh god that's rancid" "Yes it is, but its the only way to get the amulet so we have to deal with it." The stairs leading down were very broken and sketchy. I almost rolled down the stairs when parts of it collapsed beneath me. We approached two doors. One was locked, one was half broken and wouldn't open. "So, which one leads to where we need to go?" "I believe it's the one on the right but they key for it is through the left door then further down." I bucked the left door and it exploded open. We went down another set of stairs, but this time I actually tripped and nearly broke my back while somersaulting down the whole thing. "You know what. I'm just going to lie here for a bit" I scrunched my nose as I said this; when I speak, a throbbing pain goes up my spine. She approached a puzzled door. It had three shrines that were spin able. On each side were three cutie marks; one was mine, the other two I haven't ever seen before. One was a star with a flame behind it and the other was a lightening bolt with many spikes circling perfectly around it. She arranged them in order of mine, then flame, then bolt. There was a click behind the door and gears began to move and the door slowly opened. "How did you know what it was?" "I study a lot of old things and I have books of things that "doesn't exist" I know a lot." "Anything about me?" "No, sadly not, your name is mentioned in one of them but the pages about you specifically are gone and so are a few others. Not many ponies know much about the Arcadians, they sort of disappeared long ago. Even Celestia herself has very little knowledge of them. That's why I have you, your mentioned in Arcadian books and I want that amulet to study and see what it does." "Sorry but I know nothing of the Arcadians or myself, all I know is that I used to be one and that Im being hunted down by a Dukar named Septimus." She stopped right in her tracks and turned to me quickly and yelled "SEPTIMUS he's back! Oh lord, oh no no no no no no. This must be a lie." As she was saying this, she was hyperventilating and pacing quickly back and forth. "Do you know how bad things are going to get now that he is back! The world will be shrouded in darkness and every species on the planet will be either eradicated or put into slavery. We must get the amulet now!" She began to run and I followed suit. We went down long hallways and many sets of stairs and we came upon a chest. When the chest was opened a zombified griffon jumped out and pounced on me and started to use its claws and tear at my face and body. I used my hooves and punched it repeatedly but it was ineffective and then covered my face. Mystic Dreams's eyes glowed a bright white and a table flew across the room and hit the griffon on the side. It turned to her and jumped but was stopped and was frozen in mid-air. A purple glow was around it, it hissed and swung its arms violently. The griffon was thrown across the room, smashing into the walls, the sound of old bones breaking and limbs fell off after each hit. This happened repeatedly until the griffon consisted of only a few bones held by tendons and its remains were spread across the floor. I almost threw up. She picked up they key from within the chest and put it in her saddle bags. We trotted back to the two doors and she put the key into the right door and it opened. There was a blinding light that came through the crack of the door. We haven't seen day light for at least a few hours, but it wasn't the sun. It was an artificial light. I've never seen such a thing before, ponies mainly use candles or a spell to light up a room but nothing like this. We put a hoof in front to cover our eyes as we walked in. In the middle of the room there was a pedestal that had the amulet hanging on a rusted raw iron hoof. Obviously it was a trap at the same time. I kinda said fuck it and walked up and grabbed it, and...nothing happened. Literally nothing, no booby trap, no giant ball trying to kill me, nothing. It was odd because stories that are about stuff like this have the cliche Daring Do shit but I guess it's not always like that. As we turned around, about to walk through the door Septimus appears in front of us and he launches me across the room. I hit the wall with a force almost strong enough to break my spine and fell to the floor. Mystic eyes glowed and she started throwing any objects that she could see at him. One of those objects was a bolder and it hit Septimus hard across the face, knocking him out hopefully. She ran over to me and picked me up. "We need to leave now!" We went up the stairs and down the hallways as fast as we could. I looked back and I saw a black mist that was approaching us fast and a set of glowing red eyes was in the middle of it. "Mystic he is coming from behind us!" She looked over her shoulder an her eyes widened. She looked at me and yelled "don't you know how to teleport us out of here!" "Uh no I don't, I don't know any magic but levitation" "Please just try!" She had tears in her eyes, either from being scared that Septimus was in almost reaching distance and was going to kill us or that she has tried so hard to find that amulet and now she is going to lose it again. I thought very hard and imagined a place the best that I could, I touched Mystic and using all of my energy we teleported. Chapter 6Chapter 6 We both fell flat on our faces and tumbled a bit. Apparently motion continues as you teleport. I stayed on the ground and I was heavily breathing. I felt like I ran a marathon without stopping. Everything ached. "Why...am..I..so..tired" "Well since your talent isn't magic, using a higher level spell will drain all of your energy. So basically you can only do that once every day or so." "How do you know what my talent is?" "Oh I never said that" I found it kind of discerning that I'm an Alicorn, I can barely fly and I'm useless with magic. Usually Alicorns can do amazing things that no other pony can do...I guess I'm different. "Yes definitely. The power that an Alicorn possess is indefinitely unmeasurable and very powerful. But yours...it's...very weak. It's unusual" I looked around to try to figure out where we were. No grass was the first thing I noticed. It was just dirt and scattered rocks and large mountains surrounding us. It was also notably hotter than where we last were even though it was night time. "It seems that we are near Las Pegasus." She pointed her hoof at distant lights flashing over the horizon. It will definitely take about a day to get there. The sun was about to come up so we found an overhanging rock for some shade when the it did come up and we slept. We wanted to travel by night so that we wouldn't die from intense heat and dehydration, continuing our journey to Las Pegasus. We were about a mile or so from the city when something caught my leg, it was a rope and it pulled tight and I was being dragged on the ground on my stomach at an increasing speed. Mystic tried to use her telekinesis to stop me but it wasn't able to surround me in time, her powers aren't as strong since it isn't her special talent. Finally the rope threw me up in the air and I was dangling upside down, three bandits were inspecting me, squinting their eyes and observing me intensely. "Alright boys we got ourselves an Ali Wooo. We gonna make money today." They are slave traders. They still exist? They put tape over my mouth, put clips on my wings and poured some kind of potion on my horn. "That will keep ya from runnin'." They proceeded to spin me around and laugh vigorously, I almost threw up in my mouth from motion sickness. To stop my motion, one of them hit me with something, a bat I suppose since I heard a loud crack and it hit my ribs and a sharp pain traveled up my spine. Oh fuck! I stopped spinning and I could see what they were doing, they blindfolded each other and used the bat and hit me as if I was a piñata; Hitting my body on all parts. The beating continued for about a half hour but it felt like days. Finally it stopped, I was coated in bruises and blood was dripping from my face and I had a swollen eye. Their leader came trotting up. "Hey blind me I want to give it a whirl!" They put the bandana over his eyes and they gave him a bat with... SPIKES! Son of a bitch! I tried to use my energy to swing myself, hopefully hitting one of them or at least getting myself free. I thirsted myself back and forth and used my head to direct myself. He took a swing and missed, he tried once again and this time I wasn't lucky. The spikes penetrated into my back left hind leg and it got stuck in it. I screamed as he moved it in rapid motion trying to get it out and a loud pop occurred as he succeeded. The bat came around again and hit the ropes that held me and also hit my wing clips. I hit the dirt and rammed my body into the leader and picked up his bat and cracked him on the head and killed him instantly. His two lackeys jumped me and beat me with their hooves. I thrusted my head up and stabbed my horn into one of their eyes and I bucked them off of me. I again put the spiked bat into my mouth and impaled the injured bandit in the head. Something hit me on the back of the head and I fell to my face and I turned over to face him. He jumped...I lifted my head up and as he came down on me, my horn punctured his chest and pierced his heart. Blood spewed from his mouth and poured onto my face, I pushed him off of me and wiped the blood off with my hoof; I laid there for a minute to breath and allowed the pain to come in. I passed out. ========================== "Hey! You alive?" I opened my eyes and saw an orange pony with gold locks of hair that were tied at the bottoms of them with a red string, she also had a cowboy hat and three freckles on each cheek. "Yea I'm good" I stated weakly. "Well you definitely took a beatin' killed a few, but you're alive. I'm Applejack." "I'm Sacred Energy, did you happen to see a light purple pony at all? Her name is Mystic?" "No sorry I didn't. She may have headed into town, ill take you there and patch you up." Around the large rocks surrounding us was a Conestoga wagon. "My sis is sleepin' so if you could?" I nodded my head. I entered the wagon as Applejack was attaching the wagon's saddle to herself. There were a lot of apple products within it, containers of water, food supplies and her sleeping sister in the back on top of a bags of grain. "Y'all ready?" I nodded. Her sister was still a filly, she didn't have her cutie mark yet. She had a yellow coat and a red mane with a big red bow in the back of it. I dozed off to sleep. ========================== I woke up in a small motel room, it was one of the older cheap ones with at least a century old style decor; small flower curtains, flattened carpet and tiles on the ceiling. There was a champagne cabinet in the back, fake wood paneling on the walls and pull out beds. Applejack nor her sister were there, I got up to eat something, but nothing was in the fridge and I saw a note and some money on a coffee table. Me and Applebloom went out to visit our family a few blocks down, gave you some bits so that you may buy something to eat. Good luck lookin' for your friend -Applejack. I sighed kinda deeply and walked over to the drawer and opened it, there was a bit bag, the one that you hang around your neck, and I put that on and dropped the bits in it then walked out. Walking down the stairs was a lot easier than I thought. I looked down at my legs and my hind leg was wrapped in medical tape with blood stains and a medical band was wrapped around the side of my head. It seemed that I was taken to the hospital, but I have no recollection of going. I went to the front counter of the motel and asked if they've seen Mystic. "No, sorry I haven't but I can call the other hotels to see if she is listed at any of them." I said thank you and walked out. I was expecting it to be a large city like Manehattan, but it was more like a large town with old western style buildings and dirt roads. I walked up and the down the streets looking for her but I had no luck. I entered the Gentlecolt's Pub, sat down and asked for cider. For some reason the absence of Mystic depressed me, so I decided to drink, which is something I rarely ever do. I played poker with a few people and I talked to people and asked them about the town. I spent the whole day there and I left drunk and I fell over on the ground encumbered by dizziness. "Hey" I heard a voice, but it was muffled. I tried to open my eyes and see who it was. I was still on the street, but now in a crack of an alley. "Sacred wake up" it was Mystic. She somehow found me, I don't know how but she didn't respond when I asked. "Listen we don't have much time, we need to head somewhere safe" "Well I have a hotel room two blocks over, we can go there." I stood up and she nodded. ========================== When we got to the room Applejack was laying on the bed listening to Applebloom talking about her ideas of how to get her cutie mark. Seeing this still makes me think of how I got mine, I just sort of got it. Either that or I just don't remember at all since the storm. I wonder how much of life I have missed. Every dream I have it always seems familiar, like I've been there before. I always see a dark shadow in everyone of them. "Well howdy Sacred, I see you found your lady friend." I look over at Mystic and she seems confused and raised an eyebrow as she look back at me. "Well.." Applejack stated awkwardly slow "...we should get goin'. My job here is done and we're heading back to Ponyville." Both of our ears perked up "Ponyville!" "Why...yes it's where I live." "Do you mind if we come with you Applejack?" "Of course you can sugar cube!". We headed outside and helped put things into her wagon. Applejack pulled it and her sister sat in the front. Me and Mystic were in the back. She pokes my arm, "yes?" "Listen we have a problem, Septimus is forming his old army and is planning to take over Equesrtia, and we are limited on time." She layed down and turned over and I did the same.
Chapter 1Chapter 1 "Some pony is here, quick help me get him out!" I faintly saw a glow of all magic colors and heard the flaps of Pegasi wings. The pieces of rubble that had me pinned to the ground was carefully lifted up one by one and after each piece, the pain began to lessen. The piles of debris was put off to the side. "Are you alright" I looked up and saw a purple alicorn kneeling in front of me. I pulled myself up and tried to bow but struggled. She put her hoof on my shoulder..."it's ok you don't have too, your already in pain as I can see, so save your strength". "Umm may I ask, who are you?" She looked puzzled at me, and presented with "I am princess Twilight Sparkle, so that you may know, but you can call me Twilight" Do you think you can help me to the hospital princess?" I asked. "Oh yes of course". As we headed to the building and I only thought to ask...." What happened? Why is the town half destroyed?" "Well..." She starts "... It was a storm that showed up out of no where and the Pegasus weather team didn't plan for a storm, we're still trying to find out" As we walk I couldn't help but notice the ruins of the town. Blood was all over the place, debris was scattered, and the air was filled with smoke, and the smell was pretty bad too. The place reeked of burnt wood, flesh, and surprisingly delicious food, well cause the food was burnt too, but it didn't do much to cover the smell of the other two. Stopping me in mid thought Twilight asked me what my name was. It was hard for me to think of such a thing. How could I have forgotten my name, also what happened to me, how did I get under the pieces of debris? "Umm..actually I...I don't remember". "Hmmm...The walls from the town hall falling on you must have hit you so hard that you could have gotten amnesia. Do you remember anything, like your past, what kind of pony you are?". I thought for a while. "No, sadly I can't." When we reached the hospital, HOLY SHIT was is crowded. "Oh I'm sorry, but we are over filled with ponies right now, I wish I could help you but we are helping the extremely hurt or severely injured." Said the nurse pony. "Oh it's ok we'll come back at another time" Twilight stated. "Where do you think we should go?" I asked. "Hmmm I could see if Celestia could help with the pain and also help you with your memory." I agreed. ========================== We arrived at the front doors of Celestia's chambers. I felt kind of nervous to see her, I never thought that I would personally meet the princess of Equestria, the one who every pony looks up too and the one who raises the sun. It's a chilling thought. Twilight knocked on the doors of her chambers. The door opened, "Come in". We entered. "Ahh Twilight, how is every pony in Ponyville?". "Uhh could be better, but I need a favor Celestia. This pony is in major pain and he has amnesia, so I was wondering if you could help?" Celestia gladly helps and casts a healing spell on me,God Damn that feels better, I look at Twilight who is deep in thought and she looks a bit concerned, I worry about her sometimes, the fact that she is a princess and has duties that she has never had before, the stress must be eating her up. "And his amnesia... What is your name?" I put my head down in response to her question. But Twilight answers for me, "He doesn't know. He doesn't know anything about himself. He doesn't know that he is an Alicorn..." Right at that point I realized that I could have just looked down at myself earlier to find out what kind of pony I was. But the thing that baffled me was why I was an Alicorn, I have no title, I'm no prince, nor do I wish I was one. "Hmmm... I'm surprised that you have such a strong case of amnesia, judging from the damages that I saw on you, a concussion seems more logical." "So do you know anything about me?" I asked. "Hmmm I think I have something somewhere in a book in my library. Give me some time and I will notify you if I find anything within the records" "Ok" I said gladly. I'm hoping that she can find out who I am, it's killing me that I don't know. "Twilight could you take him back to Ponyville, maybe your friends could help him" We both agree and teleported back to Ponyville. Chapter 2Chapter 2 I can never get used to the feeling I get whenever I got teleported. It always made me feel sick. I guess my memory is coming back slowly. "So where are we going Twilight?" She kind of stood there for a bit in wonder before answering. "I can bring you to my friends and see if they can help you" "Why can't you help me?" "I still have to find out what caused the storm and help with the clean up. Here, this is the locations of their homes, see if they can help you with anything." She then teleported to a different location. I looked at the map and I'm confused as shit. /I don't know where anything is on this map\ there were five locations. A farm, a boutique, a building that looks like a dessert, a house in the middle of the woods, and there is an arrow that says "in the sky" and points up. The one closest to me was "Sugar Cube Corner". I walked up to the door and...... ....Ow my FUCKING HEAD! As I opened my eyes I see a pink pony staring straight at me. "Celestia Fuck!" And I jumped to my hooves. "HI! I'm Pinkie Pie what's your name? I never seen you before, are you new you-must-know-Twilight-because-I-saw-you-with-her......." Holy fuck can this pony talk any fucking faster. I don't even know what she is saying? "....and then I was like 'nope ill kick your ass any day'" "HEY! Please Shut The Fuck Up!" I couldn't help but yell at her, my head hurt to much. "Ok!" She said. She just stood there looking at me with the largest grin that I have have ever seen on any pony. It was kind of creepy actually, I looked around with just my eyes to try to find some kind of excuse to get away from her or at least to make it less awkward. "Oh I'm sorry that I knocked you over. Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner!" Where does this girl get all her energy from? "Sooo what's your name?" Again I put my head down in response to her question, and measly said "I don't know". "What? How do you not know what your name is? I have never met any pony who doesn't know who they are." "Well, I'm the first. Umm Pinkie your friends with Twilight right?" "Of course I am! She is like the bestest friend ever! Why?!" "Well she said that you could help me with my memory. And I noticed when I experienced things, I remember how I thought of them before." "Oh oh! I know I could make you cupcakes or something. Maybe you food will help your remember things cause I know it does for me, just wait here!" I got the fuck out as soon as she went inside. I can't believe Twilight is friends with her, I feel bad that she has to deal with Pinkie on a daily basis. But I'll come back later. I then went to another location on the map the "Carousel Boutique". I knocked on the front door. The building was very elaborate and primed with detail. A merry go round on the top, which would be cool if it were to spin, custom made windows and a variety of colors. Who ever had this place definitely has a high taste in design. The door opened and a beautiful white unicorn appeared, with what looked like her sister or something next to her. "Hello, welcome to the Carousel Boutique, my name is Rarity, how may I help you?" Like the dumb ass that I am, I just stand there blushing looking into her eyes and not saying anything. I lost any brain activity. "Are you ok darling?" "Oh umm yes uhh are you one of Twilight's friends?" "Why yes of course did she send you here, to help me perhaps cause I would really appreciate that what a thoughtful..." "I'm sorry to stop you short but I'm wondering if you could help me?" "Anything for a friend of Twilight's. What's your name?" I'm getting sick of this question. "I want to know if you could help me with my memory because I lost it after getting knocked out during the storm. I don't know anything about myself nor do I know of any way to know so." "Hmmm, I know ponies express themselves through the clothes they wear, I have some colt clothes that I made a while back somewhere. Come on in and try some on, you Might be able to know what kind of pony you are based on your style." I walked in. It was a mess, there was fabric, gems, pony manikins, and dresses scattered all over the place. Her idea wasn't that bad either. I mean the rich, important ponies wear expensive elaborate clothing, Royals wear amazing clothing that symbolize their power and role in society. Each type of pony, based off their talent wear different things. Maybe I could find out what my talent is based on my favorite choice of clothing. As I waited for her to get the clothing, I sat there and looked at the room more carefully. She has many expensive, high society things. I'm surprised that she lives in Ponyville and not somewhere like Canterlot. She returned with a coat rack full of clothes. There was so much weight on that rack that the wheels were screeching, almost making my ears bleed. "Ok let's get started! Now what on here do you think you like?" "I have no idea" I tried some on. "Hmm, no" "oh lord no!" "To much color" "not enough color".... She really can't make up her mind. So she made me try on a shit load of different types of clothes. I wasn't really interested in any of them. "Rarity, I think don't think this is going to work. None of these styles are appealing to me and..." "Oh don't speak such nonsense, one time I spent three days with one client just trying to help her find her style. It wasn't the best three days cause she was bitchy but it worked out." "Well I don't want to spend three days here". Like I had anything important to do anyway. "Oh no problem dear I'll definitely find you your thing, even if it kills me!" Ok just to save time I'm just going to say that I tried on a lot of stuff and I found what I like. It was the kind of old but kick ass looking clothing but the clothes emit light which was awesome. "Hey Rarity why do you have clothing with lights and lasers?" Oh I made some for my friend Vinyl, she wanted something ridiculous and coated with lasers and strobe lights for the rave she was going to perform at. Word was that other ponies loved her clothes so I made more, but only a few ponies bought them cause Vinyl was their idol and they follow whatever she does. So this is what is left. I'm glad you like these. I also took some ugly armor for centuries ago and spruced them up with fabulous lights to make it more appealing. Which is what your wearing." I'd have to admit it was cool. It kind of reminded me of daedric armor based on the color of it but it looked more modern since it had pieces of electronics on it and instead of just red coming out of it it was a fade of the colors of the rainbow. "Alright I like this, I like it a lot." "Great sweetie so that will be 800 bits". Wait....da fuck? "I have to pay for it? Damn. I don't even remember if I have any money." Well...your one of Twilight's friends so you can keep it. Plus no pony would ever buy it unless they had that taste in clothing but whatever." "Wow, thanks a lot Rarity, I really appreciate it. But I have to go now and talk to your other friends to see if they can help me." "Your welcome, I hope to see you again sometime." "I'll pick up the clothes later on today." We hugged each other and waved good bye and I looked at the map once again. The next place that I was going was taking me into a small forest which had just one small road so finding it shouldn't be too hard.
Chapter 3Chapter 3 Holy Shiiiiiiiiiit is this road long. I've been walking on it for like two hours. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!, I seriously don't think that I'll be able to find this place." I muttered to myself in frustration and loss of sanity. I did like the fauna of the woods though, it made me feel a bit better. "I swear I'm walking in circles or something". I continued to walk down the path until a cottage off to the side caught my attention. It was covered in vegetation and there was a little bridge that goes over a little river on the path to the door. I knocked on the door but there was no response. I tried again and the same thing happened. I looked into the circle window to the left and saw a yellow Pegasus and tried to yell hello but I guess I did it a bit to loud because she yelped and flew up to the ceiling. I walked up to the door and knocked softer and said "I'm sorry for scaring you but I want to know if you can help me?" No response. "I'm a friend of Twilight's" I heard something behind the door this time, it was very faint. "I want to know if you could help me?" I asked again. The door opened and a very adorable yellow Pegasus with pink hair peaks her head into the crack of the door. My heart exploded. She was obviously very shy since she didn't say anything and that she didn't look directly at me, her eyes were more to the ground. "So... Would you mind helping me with something?" "S.." "Excuse me?" "Su..." She talks really quietly, it's kid of annoying but cute as hell. "Ok... I want to know if you could help me remember who I am, and I want to know if you have any ideas?" Her facial expression changed and she opened the door completely. She seemed more open and friendly, while she was thinking however still very shy about it. "Umm...I don't think I can because I don't know of what you want me to help you with" she talks in almost a whisper but its talking at the same time. It's like breathing with your mouth open and trying to talk at the same time. "Well my memory is gone and I need your help so that I can remember who I am. Rarity has helped me so far and apparently based on the style of clothing I chose depicted what kind of pony I am." "I'll try." She waved me inside her home. It kind of smelled of animal but not bad to the point to where it reeked so bad that you couldn't breath. There were a lot of beds and bird houses inside and her decor consisted of very natural looking things and basic furnishings. My mind can't get over the fact of how fucking adorable she is, it's all that I have been thinking about this entire time that I lost focus of what I came there to do. There was a very long silence after she went to her couch and sat down, I suppose she was still thinking. I guess I was making her more uncomfortable since I have been staring at her the whole time. "Well I guess since Rarity helped you by picking clothing that represents you. I suppose that I could do the same but with animals. I'll have them all group up and you can pick one. But that will be tomorrow, it's late" I completely lost track of time. "Do you mind if I crash here? Umm.." "Fluttershy" "Oh. Yes. Thank you I forgot to ask" Fluttershy thinks for a moment and says that I can sleep at her place upstairs. I say good night and head up to the bed and I fall asleep. ========================== When I woke up, Fluttershy was gone and so was her asshole bunny. I got used to the smell already. I wasn't really sure of what to do. She had no books or games or anything. I walked around her house and went outside. She had many beautiful gardens that surrounded her house. Flowers of all colors, bright green bushes and shrubs, and there was also a chicken coop in her backyard. Being here was very welcoming and it made me feel good. I came to a path that's near her house that I didn't notice before when I was trying to find her house yesterday. The road leads to a opening of a forest and upon retrospect I decided, since I didn't have anything better to do, to take a stroll in the forest. It was very dark in there, I could barely see my own hoof in front of my face. Lucky for me I did remember the spell for candlelight, which causes the tip of my horn to illuminate anything with a bright light that shows me where things are within a 10ft radius. The physics of this forest is somewhat different compared to the rest of Equestria. The animals, the weather, and plant life acts completely different. I kept hearing a growling noise like every 30 seconds to the point that it is scaring the shit out of me, and it's getting closer. I was about to panic but I remembered Fluttershy and her home. The idea of her kindness to me and the warm feeling I felt alone was able to calm me down. I trotted on and I found a ditch that is before Celestia's old castle, where the Tree of Harmony is. I was just down there looking around, but I saw something that I found odd. There was a rock door that had MY cutie mark in the center of the door. There was also a plaque that was covered in moss and was deteriorating because of erosion that was next to the door attached to the wall, it read... "The ones with the ancient may find the secrets and def....... ords" The rest of the words were missing due to being out in the weather all the time. I was wondering what the rest said, and "one with the ancient" what the hell that meant I had no idea. I tried to fuck with the door a bit to see if I could somehow open it, but nothing I tried seem to work. There wasn't a lever or button or puzzle or anything. How in the son of a fuck am I going to open this door. Normally if something doesn't work I walk away from it but because this door has to do with me I MUST open it and see what's on the other side. I started bucking at it and running into it but the only thing I did is almost break my bones. I then tried one more time and ran into it, I hit the door so hard that it launched me a good 5ft backwards sending me flat on my back to the ground. I began to cry, not like sob crying, more of tears of anger and pain.
Chapter 4Chapter 4 I ended up falling asleep. And I woke up in a tree house and...wait? WHAT! I thrusted myself up and looked around me. There were weird objects hanging from the ceiling, many potions and bottles all organized perfectly on oak wood shelves that I assume were made by "hand". I walked out of the room that I was in into a larger circular room with a cordon in the center filled with a green liquid within, I could feel the heat omitting overtop from it as i waved my hoof over it. I heard the front door open and I quickly hid behind the cordon and prayed to Celestia that who ever came through the door wasn't going to see me, but sadly that prayer wasn't answered when i heard a female voice say "oh look who is up and awake, you should lay back down for your own good sake." Haha, that's weird it rhymed. I went ahead and asked how I got there and who she is. "I found you sleeping on the ground, I knew that you were hurt based on your sound" Ok? another rhyme. "I'm trying to make a drink, to help you get back in sync." The rhymes are starting to get annoying. Probably because I don't get them. "Can you please speak normal and who are you" She stared at me for sometime with much frustration and sighed. "I'm Zecora, I'm a zebra, I was trying to make a potion to make you feel better and restore your strength. I found you passed out and a darkness was surrounding you. It took your shape and I tried to stop it from consuming you but it ran off". "A shadow of myself?" "Yes, the Darkness consumes ponies who are unaware of their surroundings and takes their form and seeks to destroy them. They can appear anywhere, it can even be your own shadow and will do anything to harm you, and will not stop till you cease to exist." I started to freak out. "How am I going to get back to Ponyville if that thing is hunting me down, it can be anywhere." "Sadly I don't know, how to defeat this dangerous foe" "How do I know if its near me?" "If your bones get the chills, then you must hide or get killed. I also may have a potion, to help with this commotion." She then handed me a bottle and told me to drink it and I did. I felt light headed and my vision became blurred. She said that the spell will last about 2 hours, which is enough time for me to get out of the forest. The potion is supposed to disable the darkness' ability to find me. I thanked her and walked out. She also gave me a map and I was going to head east back to Ponyville, I hoped since I didn't know what direction I was facing. I couldn't use the sun to determine where east is since the trees covered all sunlight basically. After a half an hour of walking I began to hear the growling again and it was way too close for comfort. "FUCK!" Something just bit my leg. I turned around and it was a Timberwolf. I bucked it in the face and began to run. It was barely fazed and quickly started to chase after me. I have to think of something, there has to be a way to trap this thing or at least stall it long enough for me to get away. *tick* "what the..." A giant log came swinging down from two trees just barely clipping my tail but lucky for me it smashed the Timberwolf's face, breaking it into pieces and launching its body a good 50ft. I continued to run until I thought I was far enough away just in case it was still somehow alive. This place is dangerous, no wonder why ponies don't go in here, it's just an area of death and madness. I approached a hill and looked on. I don't see much but hills and plant life, but I did see a city in the distance which now was my objective. Sadly It's been an hour and a half since I left and it will definitely take me about a day to get to the city. Though I had wings, I wasn't good at using them, I forgot how to fly. Plus if I did know I didn't have the stamina for that kind of distance, so the darkness will definitely find me soon. I decided to at least try to fly or glide maybe. I took a few steps back and opened my wings and sprinted. Using the wind I was able to glide over the tree tops and the feeling was amazing. The wind going through my mane, the sound of it blowing by me, and view was unbelievable. Celestia's beautiful sun setting on the horizon of mountains and the valley of trees in between and there was also a oasis with a bright vibrant color of blue and it looked fresh. I began to descend in altitude and I turned myself towards the oasis, since I knew I wasn't going to stay in the air much longer. I aimed myself at the pool of water and planned to crash in it. Yes I don't know how to land either though its so simple. I was gaining way to much speed and frantically flapped my wings against myself but I didn't slow down enough for a smooth landing. I hit the water and then the bottom of the pool. I swam buck up and crawled to the dirty floor of the forest. My body was swelling and the stinging pain that encased my body was horrific. Such a stupid idea. It was near dark and I needed somewhere to sleep. I had enough energy to create a small shelter made out if brush, leaves, twigs, and vine, but a fire was out of the question because it might give away my location to the darkness. I stacked some leaves together in a pile and laid down to rest. "Luna, may thy holy mare of the night protect me from evils that may try to take my life tonight." I then fell asleep. ========================== Ah fuck ugh...I....I...I can't breath When I opened my eyes a dark mass was standing before me (The darkness that took my form) had his red aura glow coming from his horn. He was choking me. "You seriously thought that you could escape me, pitiful filly, I'm surprised the storm didn't kill you in the first place, oh such a waste of effort." He let go of me and I fell to my face and gasped for breath. I tried to stand up but he bucked me in my face to knock me back down. "Oh please don't get up, nothing you do right now will help you, your Zebra friend isn't here to help you, so I'm going to take my time." I finally had enough breath to say something. "Who the fuck are you and why are you after me?" He had a surprised expression on his face. "What? You don't recognize me, I'm your buddy Septimus. You tried to defeat me many years ago but you look so much younger than I remember. A new body, lucky you and I'm surprised your friends aren't here." My head hurt and I got white flashes in my eyes of...things. "What are you? I've never seen you before, how do you know me, and what friends, I don't have any but Twilight." "My kind is called Dukar or Shadow Demon if you will, and I am their lord, their king. We tried to rule Equestria many centuries ago but were stopped by your kind. We almost eradicated all of your kingdom but some ponies went missing, you for example are one who survived. Oh what was your name, it's been too long, I haven't heard it for a while now what was it hmmm. Ahh yes, Sacred Energy. Platoon Commander of the 211th Winged Division of the Arcadian Army. You really thought you guys would win. And Princess Twilight Sparkle, yes I know her, she is a bit big of a job so we aren't touching her for a while but you, you're easy, you're nothing, no ones knows who you are or what your purpose was." I was stunned, confused, amazed, sad, happy and... I don't know. It was too much for me to take in. "Just for my own amusement I'm going to let you live, for now, I want to see if you can escape this forest alive. If you live and reach that city, ill let you live a little longer, but if you fail...well...free entertainment for me. Good Luck." He then teleported away. I didn't sleep for the rest of the night.
Chapter 5Chapter 5 Well the only thing I'm glad about right now is that I know what my name is. Everything else however I don't understand, 'a new body' I'm pretty sure that I was born once and that I'm in my teens, not thousands of years old. I decided to put my thoughts about what happened aside for now, I had to get to the city. There was a path that, I hope, leads me straight to my destination and I had a good feeling about it because the dirt was hard from the previous ponies who traveled, and it seems like its used quite often. It started to rain. I kind of hated the fact that I didn't have any clothing for this weather nor did I know a spell for an umbrella or something. It was coming down hard, lightening going on all around me, hail the size of acorns pelting my face. "Ugh can't this possibly get any better!" Yes, yes it could. A bolt came out of the sky and struck a tree that was literally 30ft from me. I almost shit myself, I became temporarily blind from the light and I could feel the heat from the strike area. When my vision came back I looked at myself. My blue and white tail was now near black and singed half way up. Also a forest fire started from that bolt since there was fire all around me. I got up and sprinted on the trail from before, the fire has been spreading for a few hours I suppose. It was all around me and the fire had passed over that trail so I had to find a way around. Even though its raining, it's not enough to stop the blaze. I ran up a hill that was to the left of me and I looked out onto the valley. Most of it was on fire and was headed straight towards the city. There were weather ponies flying around dropping weather buckets over the fire to try to contain it. A pony on a chariot that was transporting two ponies who were helping with the containment of the fire saw me and asked if I wanted a ride. I gladly got in and we were headed to Manehatten. ========================== The city was very busy, taxi ponies all over the roads, hundreds of Pegasi flying around above the buildings, and the Unicorns and Earth ponies walking back and fourth on the streets. It's smelled of delicious food and flowers. We touched ground and they let me off and I waved good bye. I saw many stores and restaurants while walking around. Some of the clothing stores had some of Rarity's designs in the windows. Also Henny of the Hills was playing on Brideaway and I over heard that Coco Pommel is making the costumes this year, according to two ponies I was standing by waiting to cross the street. I didn't really know where to go or how to get back to Ponyville. I'd probably need to get some bits and get a flying chariot back to Ponyville, so I decided to get a job. I went around the city for about an hour and found a "help wanted" sign in a magic store window, I walked in and I asked if I could work. "Yea sure, If you know anything about magic." "Sadly I don't know much at all." "Well I can't help you there sorry." This happened about 5 more times, at a flower shop, a Library, a Food shop, a tool shop, and a repair shop. They didn't want me because I didn't have enough knowledge or the fact that I'm an Alicorn and don't know how to use magic, so I gave up. //You must head to apartment 748 on the third floor and meet me there in about 45 minutes\ Ahh who's voice was that in my head, it wasn't Septimus' voice, so I don't really have anything to fear, unless I'm a complete dumbass and just assume its him and he is trying to kill me. But I had no idea of how I'm getting back to Ponyville and it was a female pony's voice so, I'm just going to have to wing it. I eventually found apartment 748 and rang the buzzer. "Come in". I walked up two sets of stairs and knocked on the front door. A purple Pegasus with bright yellow eyes, and a grayish blue mane opened the door, "please enter" and I did. The apartment was old looking . It seems to be built almost 70 years ago but is still in really good shape. Her decor was very modern, and had a science theme or magic, I couldn't tell. There were floating objects pretty much everywhere, the lights, TV, glasses, silverware, trinkets, you name it, it was all levitating. " how did you get your home like this?" "Oh a friend of mine cast a spell. Anyway I need to talk to you about something important. My name is Mystic Dreams. I received letters from Princess Twilight asking anypony if they have seen you, because Flutterhy was concerned." "Wait you know Twilight?" "Yes, I had to help her before with something and we are good friends. Anyway I have a objective for you. I need you to help me find an ancient amulet from a dungeon. And apparently your the only one who can help me accomplish this." "Dungeons really? The fuck is this Skryim?" "Look do you want help me or not it's not like you have anything else better to fucking do!" /Sadly he was right. I had no where to go. I don't know what to do. I can't go through the forest again to get to Ponyville so I had no options\ "Ok Mystic Dreams, I will help you if afterwards you help me get back to Ponville, deal?" "Deal". ========================== We walked down a few alley ways to this old train station that was blocked off by a fence. We flew over the it and walked around a broken train. There was a deteriorated wooden trap door that was near one of the broken down buildings, and she opened it. The stench from it was baaaad. It smelt like rotten food, dead bodies, and shit. "Oh god that's rancid" "Yes it is, but its the only way to get the amulet so we have to deal with it." The stairs leading down were very broken and sketchy. I almost rolled down the stairs when parts of it collapsed beneath me. We approached two doors. One was locked, one was half broken and wouldn't open. "So, which one leads to where we need to go?" "I believe it's the one on the right but they key for it is through the left door then further down." I bucked the left door and it exploded open. We went down another set of stairs, but this time I actually tripped and nearly broke my back while somersaulting down the whole thing. "You know what. I'm just going to lie here for a bit" I scrunched my nose as I said this; when I speak, a throbbing pain goes up my spine. She approached a puzzled door. It had three shrines that were spin able. On each side were three cutie marks; one was mine, the other two I haven't ever seen before. One was a star with a flame behind it and the other was a lightening bolt with many spikes circling perfectly around it. She arranged them in order of mine, then flame, then bolt. There was a click behind the door and gears began to move and the door slowly opened. "How did you know what it was?" "I study a lot of old things and I have books of things that "doesn't exist" I know a lot." "Anything about me?" "No, sadly not, your name is mentioned in one of them but the pages about you specifically are gone and so are a few others. Not many ponies know much about the Arcadians, they sort of disappeared long ago. Even Celestia herself has very little knowledge of them. That's why I have you, your mentioned in Arcadian books and I want that amulet to study and see what it does." "Sorry but I know nothing of the Arcadians or myself, all I know is that I used to be one and that Im being hunted down by a Dukar named Septimus." She stopped right in her tracks and turned to me quickly and yelled "SEPTIMUS he's back! Oh lord, oh no no no no no no. This must be a lie." As she was saying this, she was hyperventilating and pacing quickly back and forth. "Do you know how bad things are going to get now that he is back! The world will be shrouded in darkness and every species on the planet will be either eradicated or put into slavery. We must get the amulet now!" She began to run and I followed suit. We went down long hallways and many sets of stairs and we came upon a chest. When the chest was opened a zombified griffon jumped out and pounced on me and started to use its claws and tear at my face and body. I used my hooves and punched it repeatedly but it was ineffective and then covered my face. Mystic Dreams's eyes glowed a bright white and a table flew across the room and hit the griffon on the side. It turned to her and jumped but was stopped and was frozen in mid-air. A purple glow was around it, it hissed and swung its arms violently. The griffon was thrown across the room, smashing into the walls, the sound of old bones breaking and limbs fell off after each hit. This happened repeatedly until the griffon consisted of only a few bones held by tendons and its remains were spread across the floor. I almost threw up. She picked up they key from within the chest and put it in her saddle bags. We trotted back to the two doors and she put the key into the right door and it opened. There was a blinding light that came through the crack of the door. We haven't seen day light for at least a few hours, but it wasn't the sun. It was an artificial light. I've never seen such a thing before, ponies mainly use candles or a spell to light up a room but nothing like this. We put a hoof in front to cover our eyes as we walked in. In the middle of the room there was a pedestal that had the amulet hanging on a rusted raw iron hoof. Obviously it was a trap at the same time. I kinda said fuck it and walked up and grabbed it, and...nothing happened. Literally nothing, no booby trap, no giant ball trying to kill me, nothing. It was odd because stories that are about stuff like this have the cliche Daring Do shit but I guess it's not always like that. As we turned around, about to walk through the door Septimus appears in front of us and he launches me across the room. I hit the wall with a force almost strong enough to break my spine and fell to the floor. Mystic eyes glowed and she started throwing any objects that she could see at him. One of those objects was a bolder and it hit Septimus hard across the face, knocking him out hopefully. She ran over to me and picked me up. "We need to leave now!" We went up the stairs and down the hallways as fast as we could. I looked back and I saw a black mist that was approaching us fast and a set of glowing red eyes was in the middle of it. "Mystic he is coming from behind us!" She looked over her shoulder an her eyes widened. She looked at me and yelled "don't you know how to teleport us out of here!" "Uh no I don't, I don't know any magic but levitation" "Please just try!" She had tears in her eyes, either from being scared that Septimus was in almost reaching distance and was going to kill us or that she has tried so hard to find that amulet and now she is going to lose it again. I thought very hard and imagined a place the best that I could, I touched Mystic and using all of my energy we teleported.
Chapter 6Chapter 6 We both fell flat on our faces and tumbled a bit. Apparently motion continues as you teleport. I stayed on the ground and I was heavily breathing. I felt like I ran a marathon without stopping. Everything ached. "Why...am..I..so..tired" "Well since your talent isn't magic, using a higher level spell will drain all of your energy. So basically you can only do that once every day or so." "How do you know what my talent is?" "Oh I never said that" I found it kind of discerning that I'm an Alicorn, I can barely fly and I'm useless with magic. Usually Alicorns can do amazing things that no other pony can do...I guess I'm different. "Yes definitely. The power that an Alicorn possess is indefinitely unmeasurable and very powerful. But yours...it's...very weak. It's unusual" I looked around to try to figure out where we were. No grass was the first thing I noticed. It was just dirt and scattered rocks and large mountains surrounding us. It was also notably hotter than where we last were even though it was night time. "It seems that we are near Las Pegasus." She pointed her hoof at distant lights flashing over the horizon. It will definitely take about a day to get there. The sun was about to come up so we found an overhanging rock for some shade when the it did come up and we slept. We wanted to travel by night so that we wouldn't die from intense heat and dehydration, continuing our journey to Las Pegasus. We were about a mile or so from the city when something caught my leg, it was a rope and it pulled tight and I was being dragged on the ground on my stomach at an increasing speed. Mystic tried to use her telekinesis to stop me but it wasn't able to surround me in time, her powers aren't as strong since it isn't her special talent. Finally the rope threw me up in the air and I was dangling upside down, three bandits were inspecting me, squinting their eyes and observing me intensely. "Alright boys we got ourselves an Ali Wooo. We gonna make money today." They are slave traders. They still exist? They put tape over my mouth, put clips on my wings and poured some kind of potion on my horn. "That will keep ya from runnin'." They proceeded to spin me around and laugh vigorously, I almost threw up in my mouth from motion sickness. To stop my motion, one of them hit me with something, a bat I suppose since I heard a loud crack and it hit my ribs and a sharp pain traveled up my spine. Oh fuck! I stopped spinning and I could see what they were doing, they blindfolded each other and used the bat and hit me as if I was a piñata; Hitting my body on all parts. The beating continued for about a half hour but it felt like days. Finally it stopped, I was coated in bruises and blood was dripping from my face and I had a swollen eye. Their leader came trotting up. "Hey blind me I want to give it a whirl!" They put the bandana over his eyes and they gave him a bat with... SPIKES! Son of a bitch! I tried to use my energy to swing myself, hopefully hitting one of them or at least getting myself free. I thirsted myself back and forth and used my head to direct myself. He took a swing and missed, he tried once again and this time I wasn't lucky. The spikes penetrated into my back left hind leg and it got stuck in it. I screamed as he moved it in rapid motion trying to get it out and a loud pop occurred as he succeeded. The bat came around again and hit the ropes that held me and also hit my wing clips. I hit the dirt and rammed my body into the leader and picked up his bat and cracked him on the head and killed him instantly. His two lackeys jumped me and beat me with their hooves. I thrusted my head up and stabbed my horn into one of their eyes and I bucked them off of me. I again put the spiked bat into my mouth and impaled the injured bandit in the head. Something hit me on the back of the head and I fell to my face and I turned over to face him. He jumped...I lifted my head up and as he came down on me, my horn punctured his chest and pierced his heart. Blood spewed from his mouth and poured onto my face, I pushed him off of me and wiped the blood off with my hoof; I laid there for a minute to breath and allowed the pain to come in. I passed out. ========================== "Hey! You alive?" I opened my eyes and saw an orange pony with gold locks of hair that were tied at the bottoms of them with a red string, she also had a cowboy hat and three freckles on each cheek. "Yea I'm good" I stated weakly. "Well you definitely took a beatin' killed a few, but you're alive. I'm Applejack." "I'm Sacred Energy, did you happen to see a light purple pony at all? Her name is Mystic?" "No sorry I didn't. She may have headed into town, ill take you there and patch you up." Around the large rocks surrounding us was a Conestoga wagon. "My sis is sleepin' so if you could?" I nodded my head. I entered the wagon as Applejack was attaching the wagon's saddle to herself. There were a lot of apple products within it, containers of water, food supplies and her sleeping sister in the back on top of a bags of grain. "Y'all ready?" I nodded. Her sister was still a filly, she didn't have her cutie mark yet. She had a yellow coat and a red mane with a big red bow in the back of it. I dozed off to sleep. ========================== I woke up in a small motel room, it was one of the older cheap ones with at least a century old style decor; small flower curtains, flattened carpet and tiles on the ceiling. There was a champagne cabinet in the back, fake wood paneling on the walls and pull out beds. Applejack nor her sister were there, I got up to eat something, but nothing was in the fridge and I saw a note and some money on a coffee table. Me and Applebloom went out to visit our family a few blocks down, gave you some bits so that you may buy something to eat. Good luck lookin' for your friend -Applejack. I sighed kinda deeply and walked over to the drawer and opened it, there was a bit bag, the one that you hang around your neck, and I put that on and dropped the bits in it then walked out. Walking down the stairs was a lot easier than I thought. I looked down at my legs and my hind leg was wrapped in medical tape with blood stains and a medical band was wrapped around the side of my head. It seemed that I was taken to the hospital, but I have no recollection of going. I went to the front counter of the motel and asked if they've seen Mystic. "No, sorry I haven't but I can call the other hotels to see if she is listed at any of them." I said thank you and walked out. I was expecting it to be a large city like Manehattan, but it was more like a large town with old western style buildings and dirt roads. I walked up and the down the streets looking for her but I had no luck. I entered the Gentlecolt's Pub, sat down and asked for cider. For some reason the absence of Mystic depressed me, so I decided to drink, which is something I rarely ever do. I played poker with a few people and I talked to people and asked them about the town. I spent the whole day there and I left drunk and I fell over on the ground encumbered by dizziness. "Hey" I heard a voice, but it was muffled. I tried to open my eyes and see who it was. I was still on the street, but now in a crack of an alley. "Sacred wake up" it was Mystic. She somehow found me, I don't know how but she didn't respond when I asked. "Listen we don't have much time, we need to head somewhere safe" "Well I have a hotel room two blocks over, we can go there." I stood up and she nodded. ========================== When we got to the room Applejack was laying on the bed listening to Applebloom talking about her ideas of how to get her cutie mark. Seeing this still makes me think of how I got mine, I just sort of got it. Either that or I just don't remember at all since the storm. I wonder how much of life I have missed. Every dream I have it always seems familiar, like I've been there before. I always see a dark shadow in everyone of them. "Well howdy Sacred, I see you found your lady friend." I look over at Mystic and she seems confused and raised an eyebrow as she look back at me. "Well.." Applejack stated awkwardly slow "...we should get goin'. My job here is done and we're heading back to Ponyville." Both of our ears perked up "Ponyville!" "Why...yes it's where I live." "Do you mind if we come with you Applejack?" "Of course you can sugar cube!". We headed outside and helped put things into her wagon. Applejack pulled it and her sister sat in the front. Me and Mystic were in the back. She pokes my arm, "yes?" "Listen we have a problem, Septimus is forming his old army and is planning to take over Equesrtia, and we are limited on time." She layed down and turned over and I did the same.
