The Party

Night had descended on Ponyville the night that Pinkie had a midnight party with just her and her pet gummy. All of her friends had been too fatigued from the numerous other parties they had, had across the week to attend one so late into the night. Pinkie didn't mind though, she understood that her friends wouldn't be there to party with her all the time. She was just glad that Gummy still seemed to be in the party mood.

They had taken the party to Pinkie's bedroom as they sat on the bed playing truth or dare - a game which Gummy seemed to be having trouble getting the grasp of - when Pinkie heard the most peculiar noise from outside. It was a banging which seemed to occur at quite random intervals, following no particular pattern. The banging seemed to be accompanied with a cold which made Pinkie shiver. She told Gummy to remain on the bed, and that they would continue their game once she had investigated the noise further.

One quick journey downstairs found that the cause of the sound was the door blowing against the wall of the house. I appears Pinkie had forgotten to pull it fully closed again and the rather harsh winds had blown it open once again. She closed the door and locked it, presuming that was the source of the icy cold that she had felt also. Feeling that the case had been closed she returned to her bedroom to attempt to teach Gummy the rules of truth and dear once again. When she entered the bedroom, however, Gummy was nowhere to be found.

Pinkie giggled, excited at the new game of hide and seek her little alligator had decided to create. She searched for Gummy all throughout the house without a trace before finally returning to the bedroom to give it a closer inspection. It was then that she discovered the wide singular bloodshot eye staring out from the cracked open doorway of her wardrobe.

Pinkie froze for a moment, as she was unsure of how to proceed. She then did what she did best and decided to smile and sing a little song to herself, as that was usually what made the seemingly bad things not so bad any longer. The eye did not disappear with her quiet, shaky melody however. The only thing that did change was that the sound of a foot tapping from within the closet was now audible. The tapping foot seemed to keep beat with Pinkie's melody. It wasn't long before Pinkie noticed the edge of a sickeningly wise grin from the gap of the corridor. What was even more sickening about it, however, was that the disturbingly white gleam of the teeth was stained in red. Pinkie knew that wasn't from any food immediately, and no matter how much she tried to think otherwise she realised that it was the thick red of blood.

By know Pinkie's singing had gone from a melody to a whimper. Being happy wasn't working and this horrifying entity refused to quit her cupboard. No matter how much she willed him away he would simply continue tapping his foot and smile that wide grin and staring with that unblinking bloodshot eye. Eventually this became too much for Pinkie too take and with a scream of pure terror she collapsed to the ground  the last thing she saw with her fading consciousness was the doors of the cupboard slowly creaking open.

Pinkie awoke the next morning lay in her bed. She looked towards the end of it where her cupboard stood and found it closed tight. She got out of bed when something caught her attention on the bed table. The single, unblinking eye which had watched her now sat on the bedside table, still attached to the decapitated head of her beloved pet Gummy.
