TWILIGHT TWILIGHTS A TWILIGHT LIGHT
An epic random fanfic starring Anne Hathaway, Toby McGuire, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The thick branches extending from the trees of the Everfree Forest blotted out the light of Celestia's sun, shrouding the entirety of the woods in darkness. A few pockets of light manage to creep through the tree-tops here and there, but only in spots that leaned far from the path that winded through between the trees. All around, eyes peeked out of the darkness, accompanied by the sounds of howls and growls, creating an atmosphere of tension and suspense, the thought of some creature just pouncing out of the shadows and attacking an unwary traveler enough to make any pony turn around and run away.
But that creepy-ass shit didn't stop Twilight Sparkle from venturing in, cause' she's a strong mare who don't need no stallion! If she could play Slendermane on her imported Windows 8 laptop and beat it without so much as flinching once at some cheap pop-up scare, she could take on this bitch of a forest, fo' shizzle!
Twilight Sparkle had come to the Everfree Forest to look for a rare and very special mushroom called Trippin Ballz, as she needed some for a top secret potion she and Spike were working on back home in Ponyville. The potion was meant to clear their minds of all worry and doubt, and allow them to enter a state of inner enlightenment that would in turn grant the both of them an incredible boost of confidence and spirituality and -
Oh, to hell with it! She wanted the damn mushroom so she and the little shit dragon could get high off their tits, okay? Sheesh!
So Twilight Sporkle was skipping along the path that led through the Everfree Forest, somehow failing to notice all of the timberwolves around her that were tearing the heads off little cute innocent animals, or the epic fight between a gay sparkly vampire and a chihuahua werewolf over a pale emo girl whose name was probably something like Belle, maybe. Twilight Spikkle was too focused on her mission to get higher than a kite with rockets strapped to it to notice the action going on around her, so she carried on her way.
As Twilight came to a fork and knife and spoon in the road, she raised her right foreleg to look at the directions that Spike had written for her to follow. After spending about five minutes trying to understand his Celestia-awful writing, Twilight Spartan took the left path, hoping she would find the mushrooms she and Spike needed to make that sweet, sweet mindrape pot.
Ten seconds later, she fell down a hole.
As Twilight Spermkle began to regain her senses after falling down for seemed like an eternity, but was really only, like, twenty seconds, give or take, she found herself inside of an enormous cavern, which looked very similar to this picture.. Twilight Spin-Da-Bottle-kle felt as though she had been in this strange place before, her suspicions confirmed when she saw the large pool of crystal-clear water in the center of the cave. Twas' the famed legendary Mirror Pool, the pool of water that was so shiny and clean you could see your reflection in it, like a mirror.
Wait, that's not why its called that? Oh, my mistake! Sorry, the author just went a bit brain-dead there! I apologize.
The Mirror Pool was in fact a legendary pool of water that had the power to duplicate copies of anypony who gazed into the waters, and not what the author of this story originally thought.
Upon seeing this familiar Mirror Pool again, Twilight suddenly had an idea. Why bother looking for the Trippin Ballz mushrooms by herself when she could just make some clones using the Mirror Pool and then have them go look for the damn things for her instead? It was such a flawless plan! What could possibly go wrong with this idea? I mean, when was the last time somepony had an idea that never backfired, huh? Really, what disaster could POSSIBLY happen from cloning a few copies of herself, each copy possessing the same level of magical prowess and intelligence as the original? Really?
So Twilight Spackerkle pelvic-thrusted her way over to the pool, knocking over an expensive vase valued at $49,999, and approached the the edges of the Mirror Pool. She gazed deep into the waters, admiring her new hairstyle which she didn't remember getting, and she stepped into the pool.
And by 'stepped into the pool', we mean she did a 360-Quadruple front-to-back flip in the air, getting a high score of 10 from three rocks nearby. And Maud Pie. Cause' rocks, you know?
So after Twilight dragged herself out of the pool, she found herself gazing up into the eyes of an exact duplicate of herself. She was identical to the original Twilight Sparks in every way! Well, except that the duplicate had a bit of stubble under her chin, but that was the only difference! Well, okay, she also had some hair under her armpits. And her cutie mark was that of a sickle instead of a star, but honestly, she looked just like the original!
Well...MAYBE the duplicate was a slight darker shade of purple, but that was about it. FINE! Her eyes were also bloodshot, as though the duplicate had been drinking heavily, and when the duplicate spoke it sounded Russian, but that is DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY where the differences end!
Oh, and the duplicate had an eye patch.
Anyways, the duplicate looked at her original, and held out her hoof as she smiled. "Greetings, Russian comrade," said the clone in her deep manly Russian voice, helping the original Twilight Spork out of the pool. "We have things to do if we are to get high off Trippin Ballz shrooms, yes?"
The original Twilight starring Robert Patterson looked at her clone in surprise. "How did you know what I was here to find?", the original Twilight Thgiliwt asked. "I only just created you!"
The clone let out a hearty Russian laugh. "Silly Twilight comrade! I am an exact copy of you, comrade. I have some of your memories, so I knew what you were here in the forest to do already. That saves you and the author having to explain to me why I was created and what you wanted me to do, comrade!"
Twilight Spar-spar smiled upon hearing this. This plan was going to work out absolutely fine. What in the wide wide world of Equestria could possibly, if anything at all, go wrong with this completely flawless and uber brilliant idea of hers?
