Pinkamena looked out the window of the shop.
"Night time." she said, turning to Zack. "And I still need two more victims."
"What do you want to do?" asked Zack, trembling.
"You have a cloak I could wear?" asked the mare.
"Y-yeah. I have my father's old cloak in the back. Why?"
"Give it to me." Pinkamena ordered. "I'm going out."
Zack nodded and went into the back. He then emerged carrying a cloak in his mouth. Pinkamena took it and put it on.
"Remember... you leave this building and I kill Kit Kat while you watch."
Zack nodded. "We won't. I promise."
"Good. I'll see you soon."
She put the hood on and opened the door. Pinkamena left the game shop and looked up and down the streets of Ponyville.
"Who can I force to help me this time?" she asked aloud.
To her surprise, Pinkamena saw a midnight blue griffon with ice blue feather tips slinking into a dark shady bar, the glint of silver cuffs catching her eyes.
"Hmm..." said Pinkamena, grinning. "Possible candidate."
She began trotting towards the bar. Once she got there she looked inside. Where the bouncer pony would have been was a bloody smear instead. It led up the stairs to what must be the owner's room. The griffon was nowhere to be seen. Pinkamena eyed the blood trail.
"Somepony's started without me." said Pinkamena.
She followed the trail up the stairs and peeked through the partially open door.Inside was the dead body of the bouncer lying near the door. Near the back wall, however, was the griffon. In her talons was a white mare with an ash gray mane.
"Awww, what the matter, Ash Brew? I said I'd find you no matter where you go."
The mare was in tears. "P-p-please. No more!"
The griffon raised a claw. "What was that?"
Ash flinched back as the griffon slashed her claw across the her back legs.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" the mare screamed before the griffon tightened her grip, choking her a little.
"Now, I spent good money on you and look what you made me do." She held her free talon close to the mare's eye. "Now apologize for making me break you."
The mare sobbed quietly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Please. I'm sorry."
Clapping sounds came from the doorway. Psyche looked over and saw Pinkamena leaning against the threshhold of the door.
"Well done." said the pink mare.
Psyche stared at the hooded mare and then back at Ash. "You know this mare?"
Ash Brew shook her head. "N-no, Psy!"
The griffon dropped the mare and pointed to the couch at the far wall. "Sit and don't move."
The mare whimpered and obeyed as Psyche sat on the mare's bed.
"Well, you're not screaming or yelling for the guards. So, who are you?"
"Me?" asked Pinkamena. "Why, I'm just like you, Psy."
A playful grin crept across the griffon's beak. "And what am I?"
Pinkamena grinned back. "A cold-blooded killer."
"Oh? And what makes you think that? I only came to pick up something of mine that wandered off."
She glared hard at ash brue as the mare cowered away slightly but didnt move from her spot.
"You slashed her legs."
"When a dog wets the floor your rub its nose in it. When my pet runs I make sure she can't run for a while. Simple."
"Is that so?" asked Pinkamena, walking in. She sat on the right side of the couch and looked at Ash. "So, you're also having problems keeping a tight leash on your pet as well?"
Ash tried to lean away from Pinkamena as Psyche grimaced. "No, not really. Just a little miscommunication. But her brother resolved that when he 'jumped off a cliff' after I was 'lost at sea'. That's all."
"Seems like you've had fun, Psy." said Pinkamena, reaching out a hoof and wiping some blood off of Ash's legs.
Ash whimpered and looked pleadingly at Psyche as if to ask to move. Pinkamena brought her hoof to her mouth and licked the blood off.
Afterwards, she let out a sigh. "Delicious."
"P-please, Psy?" Ash begged to move, but the griffon was watching the pink mare with interest.
The pink mare licked the blood from her lips. "Ever tasted blood, Psy?"
"Well, of course." said Psyche. "I am a meat eater after all..."
"Have you ever... savored the flavor?"
"Which one? Cow, chicken, fish,.. pony?" She looked quizingly at Pinkamena.
Pinkamena scooted towards Ash and put a hoof around her, using her other hoof to remove her hood. "Pony, of course."
Her skin was a darker pink, showing signs of slight rot as well as a gash from her left cheek running down to her neck. Bone was slightly visible as well as muscle. Her left eye had a slight yellow spot in the bottom-left corner.
Ash, rather than screaming, just turned her head away and clenched her eyes shut, whimpering, "Don't get up." over and over.
Psyche let out a whistle "Ya look like shit, girl."
"I've been through shit." she said, still staring at Ash. She reached out a hoof and forced Ash to look at her. "But I have two helpers working on making me whole again."
Ash whimpered and clenched her eyes tighter.
"Awww, ain't that cute?" the griffon yawned. She flipped on her back, looking at Ash. "Don't break my things." she said to Pinkamena.
"I won't." said Pinkamena, still looking at Ash.
Ash was trembling lightly as she tried to hold her eyes shut as tightly as she could.
"Don't disobey. Don't disobey." she repeated
"Look at me." said Pinkamena sweetly.
Ash shook her head in fear. "N-no"
"LOOK AT ME!" yelled Pinkamena.
Ash tensed up. "P-please. No."
Pinkamena opened her mouth, ready to take a bite out of Ash. A shot glass smashed into Pinkamena's head
"Heal, Ashie." Psyche called.
Pinkamena pulled back quickly and glared at Psyche as Ash darted over behind her, slightly nuzzling close.
"I said don't break my things." said Psyche. "That includes my pet."
Pinkamena grinned and laid on the couch. "My apologies."
Ash was whimpering in fear. "I'm sorry I ran away. I'll... I'll never leave you again. Please. I'm sorry," she babled lightly till Psyche petted her like a dog and she stopped begging. She then laid her head on the griffon's chest.
"Good girl..." said Psyche.
"Isn't that sweet." said Pinkamena. "You shouldn't get too attached to your pet, Psy."
"When they are trained right you can. Ash, be a dear and go downstairs and get me booze?"
Ash immediately got up and left the room. "I can trust her. After all, she did have to be dragged away from me by her brother when I was arrested."
"So you trained her pretty good, huh?" asked Pinkamena. "She'll do anything?"
"She would cut out her own heart and serve it to me on a silver plate if I asked."
"Interesting." said Pinkamena. "Would you?"
"No. One like her takes time to wear down, break, remake, and keep. You have to pick one that already kind of likes you..."
"Hmm... I have one that likes me... a lot, but..." She shook her head. "I wouldn't do that to her."
"She would do as you say. Take care of you, love you and, if you wanted, fear you. It just takes the right ideas." Psyche cooed with a distant smile.
"You don't understand." said Pinkamena, getting up from the couch and turning away from Psyche. "She was the only one who liked me after she found out who I was. She understands me."
"Ash was the same...." Psyche said with a smile.
"Enough of the sappy crap." said Pinkamena, turning around. "It's starting to piss me off."
"Hehehehehehe." Psyche laughed. "I didn't catch your name." said Psyche as the door opened.
Ash came in carrying a tray on her back with two bottles of beer. She trotted near Pinkamena, offering one to her without looking her way.
Pinkamena grinned and picked one up. She then gave Ash a pat on the head. Ash flinched away from Pinkamena and quickly moved to Psyche. She then poured her a glass before laying down with her head on the griffon's chest.
"Name's Pinkamena." the pink mare answered, looking at Psyche. "You're Psy or somethin', right?"
"Psyche" said the griffon, petting Ash and scratching her ears like a puppy.
Pinkamena sat back down on the couch and popped the top of the beer bottle. She then took a sip and some of the booze dribbled out through the gash in her cheek.
"So you like a zompony?" Psyche asked.
Pinkamena lowered the bottle from her mouth and swallowed. She then wiped the booze from her cheek. "Something like that."
"So what abouts brought you here?"
"As you can see, my helpers aren't doing a very good job at finding me victims." Pinkamena explained. "Now, I need two more to become whole again. I need somepony to lure the victims into the store."
"Well, I'm sure Ashie can help with that, can't you girl?"
The mare nodded, murmuring. "What ever you want, Psy..." Psyche smirked.
Pinkamena grinned and moved closer. "You'd help me just like that?"
"Well, Ashies most likely rusty at doing so." said Psyche. "What with two years of no practice. So, yeah. Just like that."
Pinkamena stood right next to the bed and looked at Ash. "Can you get me one tomorrow and one the next day?"
Ash tried her best to not flinch away. "Y-yes ma'am."
"And what will happen if she fails?" asked Pinkamena.
"I'll bring you one and deal with her afterwards." Psyche said with a stern voice. More as a worning to Ash.
"Good. 'Cause if you don't, I will. I have a zero tolerance for failure."
"You hurt my Ash..." Psyche warned. "I will make things very inconvenient for you. Catch my drift?"
"And what could you possibly do to me?" asked Pinkamena. "I'm already dead."
"Well, I may not be able to hurt you but I would imagine you don't want to be found out till you get two more ponys no?"
"And I bet you don't wanna be found out about either, right?" asked Pinkamena.
"Why would that be? My crimes are in Griffanya. Not Equestria. And besides... I'm 'dead'."
Pinkamena grinned. "So am I."
"Well, alls well to know." said Psyche.
Pinkamena let out a laugh and took a step back. "I like you, Psyche. You're my kind of crazy."
"Well, good to know." Psyche cooed with a smirk
"And you have my word... I promise not to break your toy."
"Well, done deal." said Psyche. She glanced over at the dead boncer pony and back at ash "cook that im hungry" ash got up and trotted over to the body
Pinkamena smiled and headed for the door.
