Scootaloo nuzzled up warm and cozy under her soft red blankets. She feels the rays of sunlight on her face from the recently raised sun. She easily slips back to slumber, as her mother calls for her “Scootaloo wake up its time for school, you’re not being late again” downstairs in the kitchen clanking pans together. Scootaloo gets up out of bed and looks in the mirror next to her bed. Seeing her blank flank and small wings in the mirror fill her with sorrow and grief.

She drags her hooves down to the kitchen to meet up with her mother to go to school “Scootaloo grab your lunch otherwise if you don’t leave now you will miss Sweetiebelle and Applebloom.”

"Thanks mom!” Scootaloo shouts as she runs out the front door running as fast as he possibly can. She sees two little fillies in the distance. A unicorn filly with an all-white coat and purple and pink mane, standing next to an earth pony with a yellow coat and a red mane.

Running she yells “Hey Applebloom hey Sweetiebelle, hey girls wait up!”

“Hey Scoots.” The shy little white unicorn whispers under her breath.

“Are y’all ready for school girls?” asks Applebloom.

“Really.” Scootaloo responds in a sarcastic tone.

As Scootaloo takes her seat in the front of the class, she notices an all brown filly with a red, white and pink mane looking at her. “Hey how’s it going Orion?” asks scootaloo.

“H… Hey.. Sco.. Scootaloo…” Replied the shy little pony.

"Attention class everypony take your seats. Today we will be studying pegasi and how important their flight is to Equestria."

“Psst” “Psssst” “Scootaloo pssst” a little filly named Diamond Tiara whispered. “Hey Scootaloo listen to this… maybe one day you won’t be a let down to Equestia."

“Scootaloo why are you talking during class” Snapped Mrs. Cheerilee.

“But Mrs… oh never mind” Replied Scootaloo.

"As I was saying before I got rudely interrupted class, Pegasi play a big help in our community. Without them there would be no rain which would result in crops dieing and then there would be a shortage of food for every pony. Then there are pegasi that can’t fly, and hurt the community. Scootaloo put her head in her hooves trying to keep back the tears, she knew they were talking about her.

The bell rings “Class dismissed see every pony tomorrow” said Mrs. Cheerilee. Scootaloo with tears in her eyes ran as fast as she could through the halls till she bumped into Rainbow Dash and Coach Spitfire.

“Woo what’s wrong kiddo?” Asks the curious pegasi named Rainbow Dash. “Every pony keeps making fun of me because I can’t fly.” the weeping Scootaloo said. “Rainbow Dash can you teach me how to fly please” Asks the sad little filly.

"Sorry kiddo I’m not a good teacher… Ill cheer you on if you can find a coach.

“Ill neve-"Spitfire cuts off Scootaloo

“I’ll do it” Spitfire blurts out load as fast as she possibly could. “Besides she reminds me of... well you Dash at that age” Spitfire comments.

“Really” Scootaloo responds excitedly.

"Let’s start now Scootaloo I want to see you push those dummies five feet by yourself.

“Yes ma’am” replied Scootaloo without a second thought.

“Come on Scoots you got this!” Cheers Dash.

“Hahahahaha I told you the blank flank could never fly” Snickered Diamond Tiara. Scootaloo runs off crying into the woods. A little brown filly runs after her. Orion comes up to an old bridge that hangs over the pit between the castle of the two sisters and the Everfree forest.

Sitting on the edge was scootaloo getting ready to jump “Scootaloo NO don’t jump” pleads Orion.

"Why, I’m worthless every pony hates me, I can’t even fly... A Pegasus that can’t even fly... Nothing is left for me here."

“Scootaloo please don’t jump… if you die… well... Scootaloo… I… I… love you… Please don’t jump.” Orion throws his heart out there to see how Scootaloo will react in the heated moment.“Please Scootaloo take my hoof don’t jump”

"Orion….I… I never knew you felt that way.

“Scootatloo it will be me and you vs. the world, I’ll never hurt you”

"Let’s go home Orion…"
