AN: I am new to the Fimfiction community and all, so work with me here. No judges allowed, heh. Um, I got an idea to do this story, so.. Yeah. Enjoy! Feedback is absolutely loved, guys!

It wasn't as if she was going to demand it. Especially not at a time like this. Everyone was happy, giggling and laughing, while Fluttershy faded into the background. No humor stringed to the yellow Pegasus, nothing to brighten up another's day other than the adorableness that nobody really seemed to see anymore. It was as though she was just.. there, really. Nothing more to it. She was there to be all nice and shy, the stereotypical quiet mare to be in Ponyville, but it honestly hurt. It hurt more than anyone could imagine.

It felt as though she was being torn from an opportunity at birth– like she was born to be born and breathing to be breathing. Not living to be something– but living to be alive. Living to be nothing, and only she could make it worthwhile. But how? She couldn't just trot up to another and introduce herself. That was completely against her character– she would probably be considered suspicious, or desperate– it demanding; something negatively charged that could lower her even more.

It seemed all she could do was ponder, delicately rising both hooves, a cup pressed between them, and taking small, hot sips of coffee before soon lowering it back to one of many tables in Sugarcube Corner.

A certain cyan Pegasus seemed to notice her musing, a rather obvious distant gaze pulled from the window and back to her other five friends.

"Hey, 'Shy. What's up?" The rainbow maned girl would inquire, the fur raising where her eyebrow would be.

"O-oh, s-sorry. I.. Was just thinking." Responded a softened, apologetic voice, tone quiet and unalluring. "I-I didn't mean to interrupt.." Fluttershy stated gently, blinking to the ground.

"You should talk with us!" A brightly pink coated mare chirped, earning the fellow pink maned female's hesitant attention, and an eager nod from Rainbow Dash; her previous communicant. "Better then just sitting there looking all sad and stuff!" Pinkie Pie added with an anxiously welcoming beaming.

"O-okay.. W-what are we talking about?" She wouldn't object– that would be rude. Plus, it was better than thinking about how boring she was, really. Who wanted to think about that? Nobody, as far as she knew.

"We're planning out another sleepover!" Came Twilight Sparkle's excited chime, followed by Rarity lifting her saddle bag to place it in easy reach.

Soon, the white unicorn levitated a scrap of paper. "I'm afraid, however, I'll be the slightest of late to the party. I apologize, but another event will be occurring at the time, perhaps I wouldn't be missing too much. I'll merely be taking dear Sweetie Belle to a simple birthday party for a friend of her's."

Fluttershy and the others gave a nod.

"Don't you worry yer head off 'bout it. We know how ya'll can get over bein' late." Applejack replied, an assuring smile crossing her features when the piece of paper Rarity had retrieved floated to the table.

Pinkie Pie quickly snatched it after Rarity granted permission, reading aloud, "To: Sweetie Belle.
From: Raindrop.
I hope you can make it to my birthday party this afternoon! It's starting at 3:30 PM!

Oooooooh. Raindrop? That filly held a birthday party here just yesterday! Only Silver Spoon showed, though."

She exchanged a confuse glance with Rarity, who read it over once again before frowning and shrugging. There was only one Raindrop in Ponyville. Perhaps it was someone else Pinkie indentified.

Dropping the conversation, Twilight heaved a small sigh, announcing, "It's getting a little late. I'm glad we could have a chat, girls, but I've got to get back home to get some studying done before the sleepover tomorrow."

And with that, they all said their goodbyes and slipped out of the door, heading back to their designated homes.
