Escaping
Seperation
Previous ChapterI couldn't believe it. Equestria has turned to a cruel, dark place. And here I am, cuddling in my bed, squishing my pillow and listening to the news on the radio.
"Terrorists in the country are rapidly taking hostages." Says Mayor Mare. "Be Cautious for any suspicious activity and report it immediately."
I reached over and turned off the radio. I couldn't listen anymore. I put my pillow back into place and set my head on it. Once I was comfortable and cozy under my blanket, I closed my eyes and let the day drift away.
I woke up to the sound of breaking glass and wood. My mouth was dry. I got up on my hooves and walked out my bedroom door, murmuring "What could my parents be up to?"
"Mom..." I said walking into the kitchen. "What time is..." I stopped. 2 people armed with bows and knives stood in the kitchen. "Who are..."
"Down on the ground!" The one on the left said. He had bandages covering his face and had a dark black trench coat. He raised his bow with his horn and aimed it right at my head.
My eyes widened and I froze. "On the ground! Now!" He repeated. Then he put the bow down and aimed it at the ground. On the ground... Were my mom and dad.
My mom had a bruise on her head and was forming a bump. My dad had a cut down his left leg. His torso also had several cuts and was bleeding. I backed away.
"Have it your way then." He said. He then pulled the string back and was about to release his arrow to feed on a victim.
The other one smirked. She looked like a mare. Her voice was soft but cold. She had a bandana surrounding her mouth. On her head she wore a gray fedora with a white stripe.
I closed my eyes and ran for the door, not wanting to see my mother's death. I locked the door in my room and cried.
I grabbed my saddle bag, stuffed books, food and other needed stuff. When I was almost done I heard body's slamming into her door. Then I stuffed the last of the supplies in her saddle bag and jumped out the window right as the terrorists broke the door and entered her room.
She ran, and ran, and ran through Pony Ville's streets.
"Hey Terrila!" A familiar voice yelled out. The voice was shaky, as if she was crying. I turned around and saw Ignis. She was my friend from school. She had streams coming out of her eyes.
"You okay?" I asked. Her eyes had a flash of hatred, anger and pain.
"I'll get revenge on those terrorists... One day..." she said out of sheer anger. I considered those words for a moment. Did terrorists kill her family too?
"You too?" I asked. She looked at me questioningly. "Your parents?" I added quickly. She looked as if she would have another breakdown but she answered with confidence.
"Yeah..." She said quickly. We sat in a few moments of silence. Wanting to break the awkwardness, I changed the subject.
"Where's Demon Hooves?" I asked. Ignis shrugged.
Then, I felt a hoof tapping on my shoulder. "Right behind you." He said in a accent. I jumped up and flew. Then I turned and looked at the pony who tapped me. I sighed.
"Really Demon?" I said. "Real mature."
He laughed landing on his back. "You should've seen you're face!!!" He laughed harder. I flew back down next to Ignis and rolled my eye.
"Anyways. I'm going to find a place... NOT, with terrorists." I said surprisingly calmly. Ignis looked at me. Then I quickly added, "you guys can come if you want."
"I'll come. Its not like I have any other place to go." Ignis said. Demon was now on his feet, cheeriness wiped off his face, though his grin remained.
He shrugged. "I'll come." I nodded. This was good. We needed someone who knew how to deal with animals and other dangerous things.
"Alright," I said. "Lets go." I said firmly. and we all started trotting down the street, not knowing the horrors and dangers up above in our journey.
We reached the end of the town. Up ahead was The everfree forest. She'd heard stories about pony's coming in, and NEVER coming back out.
We stopped in front. I shivered. Ignis's confidence wavered. But Demon, stood unfazed. He started walking, but then stopped. he looked closely, then his eye's widened as large as apples.
"Run." Was all he said. When he saw we weren't running, he repeated it, but louder. "RUN!!" He yelled. His tone was dead serious. Ignis started walking backwards. When she was about to break into a gallop, a HUGE roar echoed out from the everfree forest.
Demon Hooves just stared. His eyes turned back to normal, but his pose was like he was about to charge in and attack something.
"Oh no no no no no no no." I said. "Didn't you hear the roar? You can't take whatever that thing was alone!" I started walking toward him. The next thing I knew, was that I almost died.
Yeah... I almost died when the terrorists came but this.. this was different then being shot. Being ripped to pieces was LESS painful then being shot. MUCH, less. I wouldn't know how painful it would be, but from the people I HAVE seen torn up, they're faces were widened with enduring so much pain, Yeah, big difference then being shot and being torn up.
2 red blood thirsty eyes glowered at me and Demon. I stood there, frozen, with my hoof on Demon's shoulder. My mouth suddenly went dry.
I opened my mouth and screamed, when it reached it's scaly claw for me.
