Conflict and tragedy, life in the metro.

In a mysterious world inhabited by mysterious creatures lays the land of Equestria, inhabited by mysterious talking ponies of different race. These ponies lived in harmony and built a society around the land. They thought nothing could go wrong, with the Alicorns to protect them, and the Elements of Harmony around the corner.

During the wedding of the Alicorn Cadance, an attack was staged by the Changelings, led by their leader, Queen Chrysalis. The ponies  managed to hold them back and save their capital city, but to what cost? The Changelings were sure to rise back up and come back.

Rise up and attack again is what they did, With time they discovered this substance that was proven really dangerous and they never knew of, that they decided to with hold its power and test it. This was Uranium, a substance known for being highly radioactive. With this, they could end all equus life in Equestria. If they couldn't have the land, no one could.

What they didn't know was that the ponies were already setting up some sort of defense. A complex metro system was being built, focusing on the 3 main cities of Manehatten, FillyDelphia and Canterlot. With this they could easily transport around the 3 cities and expand off to other towns. But they also had a  secondary function, They were built to function as a massive bomb shelter, To protect against any holocaust that would occur.

When signs appeared that a nuclear strike was incoming, Ponies made refuge to the metro systems. Any pony who made it would live, any pony who didn't had a certain fate. The metro system wasn't fully developed so mostly ponies around the cities were able to enter. Ponies in other towns were lucky to even make it.

The metro could only hold so many that if any station went to maximum, the security force was ordered to keep every other pony out. Anypony who didn't make it it to a station or a station that was free of space were left out to have their own fate. And with this, all but one princess never made it to the metro. Celestia, Luna and Cadance were left out to the holocaust leaving Twilight Sparkle as the last one.

Without the Alicorns, most Ponies gave up all hope for survival, not realising that the alicorns never

After the impact, All ponies were presumed dead by the Changelings and the land was sodden and inhabitable, The Changelings knew the deed was done and didn't need to do anything else and returned knowing that their mission was completed.

But they didn't know that ponies were still alive and living in the metro system. After the inital impact, the Metro Systems opened to the tunnels and everypony started from scratch to build a new society. They still couldn't rummage the land but at least they could create a society to live with.

Overtime, tiny amounts of radiation entered the air, This wasn't sufficient enough to kill off ponies, but it was enough to render most abillities useless. This radiation effected ponies enough to shut down minimum functions, The flight of Pegasi, magic of Unicorns and the strength of Earth ponies.

But even then, Ponies still lived on to create this society. But when ponies ventured onto the surface, It led the mutated creatures of the surface into the metro system, wiping out a few stations and made a few of them realise it's every station for their selves. These stations closed off to other stations and if anyone dares enter, they are repelled.

But not every station of the metro went hostile. Some stations remain free to the public and anyone can enter if they dare not to attack. One of these being Ponis, a free station that it also known as the biggest advancement in stations. They say it's the safest station.

Ponies lucky enough to be in ponis are faced with extraordinary security and good economy within. But the Station can only hold so many and getting there is a task that may or not be rewarding. Most ponies had to venture through dangerous faction stations to get there and even if they did make it, at what cost? Most of them were crippled and un-able to work for their living.

When resources run low, Certain ponies risk their lives to venture onto the surface to scavenge any left supplies up there. These ponies were called stalkers and were praised by others for their bravery and endurance to risk their lives getting supplies for their station. Most ponies were afraid to venture onto the surface and relied on the stalkers. Stalkers on average didn't live long and any that lived long into their lives were rewarded with gratitude.

Living underground meant food was hard to grow, so ponies grew and ate alot of fungi and were lucky to get anything beyond that. But even growing Mushrooms were hard and most ponies couldn't afford to eat and often died.

In the end, life wasn't so good for these ponies, but they will still strive to live.
