The Shiftling

  I woke up to Sage poking at me.

  "Goodmorning!!!" she said, looking at me.

  "Good morning," I replied, yawning.

  "Do you know what Today is?!" she asked.

'what was it called? Ah, Hearts and hooves day! Wait-... Oh jeez... She's gonna be loopy loco all day long! wait- maybe I'll be able to...' "Hearts and hooves day?" I said.

  "Yes!!! It is!!!!" she said, excitedly.

'Or maybe not...' "So?" I asked. She hugged me tightly, and I could barely breath.

  "So, It's my favorite day!!!" she said excitedly

'Or maybe she'll end up raping me... Oh jeez, she has no sanity today.' "Alright, Can you let me go now?" i said, hardly able to talk.

  "Oh! sorry!" she said, letting me go.

  "And you're going to do what?" I asked, hoping for a dirty answer.

  "Spend all day with you," she replied.

  "And what'll we be doing?" i asked, getting a bit excited.

  "Learning more about each other, going out.... Things like that!" she answered.

'well, there goes my fantasy... Again.' "That's nice," I said.

  "I know!" she said, and all of that, is exactly how we spent the day.

  Once it became late, I was trying to sleep, woke up to the same nightmare, and heard Sage talking about trying to be ready for something... But what? I fell asleep before I could hear what it was about.
