"Damn it, it ain't coming to me!" Vinyl yelled as she crumbled up the paper and threw it in the trash bin. "Why can't I figure this out, this is usual so easy." Vinyl said, enraged by her writer's block, she was put in charge of crafting a new beat to play at the club tomorrow night, it was usual fairly easy for her to do. but tonight she had a huge case of writer's block. "I don't know why it's so difficult, making sick beats is usually a cake walk for me!" Vinyl said to herself. "What are you yelling about?" Octavia asked as she entered Vinyl's room. "I'm having trouble thinking of a new beat for my performance tomorrow night." Vinyl replied, she put her shades on the desk. "Vinyl, I understand where your coming from. I've had writer's block before, but please keep it down." Octavia said rubbing her eyes with her hoof, she was half awake as Vinyl's angered screams had woken her up. "Don't worry Tavi, go back to bed. I'll get through this." Vinyl sighed. "Well, if you ask me. You should try relieve yourself of stress, a relaxed mind is the key to a clear thought process." Octavia stated. "Thanks for the little bit of help Tavi, I'll give it a shot." Vinyl said, Octavia hugged her roommate. "Night Tavi." Vinyl said. "Hope you get past you writer's block Vinyl." Octavia said, she left the room.
Vinyl took Octavia's advice and tried to relax herself, so she made some instant ramen (it always eased her nerves) and began to craft a beat, but yet again after only a minute of crafting, she became stuck at the one minute mark of the song. "DAMN IT!" Vinyl yelled, she then covered her mouth. "Damn it." Vinyl said, this time in a softer voice as she remembered she was trying not to wake up her roommate. she heard a knock at the front door. "For Celestia's sake." Vinyl growled as she left her chair and opened the front door, it was Applejack's brother, Big Macintosh. "Hey Vinyl, Octavia told me about your problem and I came to help." Mac said in his usual deep voice. "How'd she tell you?" Vinyl asked. "She called of course." Mac replied, he entered Vinyl's home and looked at what she had got done. "So this is how your club music is made, I've never been down to the club but Derpy keeps telling me how fun it is." Mac said. suddenly, Derpy appeared out of Vinyl's closet. "HIYA!!" Derpy shouted. "MOTHERFU-!" Vinyl yelled in surprise. "Derpy, what in the hell are you doing here?" Mac asked. "I followed you, I wanted to help our good friend Vinyl!" Derpy said. Mac blushed. "Y..you followed me?" Mac asked in a sheepish tone. he had always had a crush on Derpy and the very sight of the cock eyed pony makes his face redder then usual. "My question is why you too just decided to come in and look at my unfinished work!?" Vinyl yelled in a manner that Macintosh and Derpy had never heard her use before, or at least with them present.
"Well, you'll never get done unless you actually do something instead of yelling at us." Mac said, Derpy put on Vinyl's headphones and listened to the unfinished beat. "This is good, but you should add a part that gets the crowd pumping, a part that they could tap their hooves to the rhythm, you know. a part of the song ponies will remember the most, every good club beat needs one after all." Derpy said as she placed the pair of headphones on the desk. "That's actually a great idea Derpy!" Vinyl shouted in happiness. "Glad I could help." Derpy said in a cheerful tone of voice. "Uh..yeah, great idea D..Derpy." Mac said, the two left Vinyl's home.
Vinyl sat back down and began to finish the beat, she had her three friends to thank for the fact she finished it.
