Chapter 1: Fall
Pain. That’s all I could feel after I was blasted. I placed a paw on my stomach where I had been hit. The Umbreon responsible slowly stalked my way, the human behind him (and he himself) held a dark sneer. “That’s what happens when you betray the master, weakling, you don’t even deserve to be called a Luxray.” He said to me, not noticing the movement behind our master, until it was too late.
A pale yellow blade-shaped shell burst through his chest causing him to scream loudly from the pain. “That’s for being abusive, asshole!” my Dewott ally, Lakenna yelled, as he fell, before she curb stomped him in the nose, the action sent the Umbreon we were fighting over the edge of just pissed off.
He ran to attack Lakenna who side-stepped him and kicked him in the back as he passed, I looted our trainer’s bag, taking the pokéballs that held our team and I quickly busted them open, and our team assembled.
“All of you, we are free from our abusive ‘trainer,’ so, let us all flee, and quickly.” Our team nodded but before I could run the Umbreon grabbed me by the neck. “You aren’t going anywhere, bitch.” He said. Lakenna slashed his back open with one of her swords. “AAAGH! I’ll kill you both!” he yelled, drawing power from the shade of the canopy, before we could get away he released it in a blast, and everything went black.
When I finally awoke I felt air, looking confused I realized where I was. “OH SHIT!” I exclaimed, adjusting myself into slow my fall, I then realized what I was falling over. “Aw come on!!! Give me a freakin’ BREAK!” I yelled, then I remembered something, if I could charge myself up I could absorb the damage but it would cause a loud clap of thunder.
I channeled lightning through my fur to every spot of my body before I slammed into the ground, the thunderous boom was much louder than I’m used to, and there must be more electricity in the atmosphere here.
I slowly climbed from the smoking crater, sparks still tingling through my fur, I took a moment to look down at myself, noticing my fur and such hadn’t changed, but I noticed something different, my paws had changed and now had small… things at the end of them, kind of like human hands, I guess, I also noticed that I didn’t have to walk on all fours anymore and I now had a new part that was odd, though I think I remember that female trainers had… whatever these are.
I then remembered seeing a town during my fall, without hesitation I headed that way until I heard loud screaming, without a moment’s hesitation I took off in the direction, I found a pale yellow ponyta with… wings? Instead of a fiery mane and tail this one had long pink curls, and three butterflies planted where her shoulders would be, I also noticed that she was standing on her hind legs too, against some sort of odd Pokémon of some kind that was made of… wood? Four of them, and they sounded hungry.
“Hey! BACK OFF!” I yelled, unleashing Charge Beam against the wolves; which exploded into branches on impact. “Huh, wood… I get it now.” I said to myself, approaching the other Pokémon I saw. “Hey, you alright?” I asked softly, she flinched for a moment but then nodded softly. “Good, I… what is that sound?” I asked, she slowly pointed behind me to where the branches had recombined into some huge variant of the wolf I had seen earlier.
“Oh well shit… if that thing is that big now, I suggest we… RUN LIKE HELL!” I yelled, both of us fled, the wolf behind gave chase, slowly gaining on us, untill it swiped at me, I was flung into a tree, becoming dazed, my back felt like it was on fire, the wound I had suffered was bad, from what I could feel, a deep laceration that was bleeding badly, I heard the ponyta I saved gasp when she saw it, the wooden thing growled, and began to charge to finish me off, but it’s attention was directed to the trees where a blue Pokémon dropped, she had otter-like facial features, ears, and paws, even her tail was otter like, covering her waist down to above her ankles was some kind of armor, her chest was guarded by armor as well, clamped to her legs were the two sheathed swords I had come to get used to seeing.
Without a moment’s hesitation, she leaped down swiftly unsheathing her blades and stabbing them into the wolf’s back, it began trying to shake her off but her grip held, she flung herself up and freed one sword, which she swung down, slicing the wolf in half down the middle all the way to the end of its tail, where it fell into two halves, sap-like blood splattering everywhere.
“Damn, I’m good.” She said to herself, smirking proudly, she sheathed her swords before turning and promptly realizing my condition. “Oh fuck… you there, ponyta, is there any Pokémon center nearby we can get her patched up at?” she asked, the yellow Pokémon flinched at her language. “Ponyta? The only thing I’ve heard of like that is just what I am, a pony, I’m actually a Pegasus, and sorry, the only place we can go to is my cottage, i-if that’s fine with you of course.” She said. My friend softly shook her head. “Whatever’s closest, just quick, we need to get her patched up ‘fore she bleeds to death w… no Muriana! Stay with me, damn it!” she said. “Muriana I forbid---.“ her words faded out, as I blacked out for the second time that day.
When I woke up again I was face to face with a light blue Pegasus with rainbow hair apparently, I didn’t realize how tired I was until a moment later but before I could nod off, I heard her ask; “What are you?”
