Chapter 1: How Do We Say Our Goodbyes
Angel Star was sitting quietly in her room contemplating on whether or not she should tell her parents about a very important decision that she was going to make. The light blue unicorn with a dark brown mane, and three yellow stars for a cutie mark finally got up from her bed and headed towards where her mother was since her dad was at work.
She walked into one room and was delighted to see a dark blue unicorn mare with a brown mane sitting on a comfortable chair, reading a book. The mare noticed Angel walk in, and she looked at her with her green eyes.
"Mom?" Said Angel. "Can I talk to you about something?"
"Well of coarse you can sweetie!" Said the mother, her face showing a gentle smile. "What is it?"
"I've been thinking about this for a long time now, and after a while I finally want say it." Angel hesitated at first, but finally got the courage to say what she had to say. "Mom, I've decided that I want to move to Ponyville."
The mother was shocked by this, but manage to recover from it. "Why!? What makes you want to move away? And why to Ponyville of all places?"
"It's not that I hate it here, it's just…I'm a grown mare now. All of my friends have done it, and I've decided that I want to live my own life now. Ponyville was my place of choice, because it's a nice little town where a lot of good ponies live. Plus, a few of my friends live there so I won't be alone when I move over there." Angel was wearing a confident look on her face as she was saying all of that.
Angel's mother looked down for a second, and her face showed that she was deep in thought. She looked back up at Angel, unsure what to do next. "Well…" She began. "I'll have to talk to your father about this first, is that alright?"
"I don't mind in the slightest!" Exclaimed the mare. "We can wait until he gets home from work, and then we can talk more about this." She said with an excited look on her face, then left the room.
"My baby is growing up."
It felt like an eternity, but my dad FINALLY came home! I was so excited that I nearly forgot to breath. If I played my cards right, I can get my own house and live in Ponyville! I can't wait! Though I really am going to miss this place, nothings gonna stop me from visiting or writing letters to them whenever I can.
I went downstairs and, to my surprise, everyone was down there! I was greeted by the sight of my mother, a pink pegasus mare who was my sister, a white pegasus stallion who was my brother, and a large light brown pegasus stallion who was my father. It was just too perfect! I could tell them all right here, right now which is something that I'm about to do.
I approached my parents, and greeted them. "Hey mom! Hey dad! How was your day?"
"It was fine, not much happened." Dad said, as he was eating his sandwich. "How was yours?"
"Great!" I replied. "But there's something important that I need to tell you all."
"Really? What is it?"
I looked over to my mom, and she gave me a reassuring look. I've gathered as much courage as I could, looked at my family, then it came out. "I decided that I'm moving to Ponyville."
As expected, everyone except mom had shocked looks on their faces. There was then a very, VERY long silence in the room, and my mom finally decided to break the silence.
"Uh, honey, how do you feel about this?"
"Well, I'm not sure what to say about it." He then brought my brother and sister into it. "What about you two? Do you have anything to say?"
"…….Well if she feels like she needs to live on her own, let her then." My sister said. Although, I could of sworn I saw her eyes tearing up.
"And you Michael?"
"I'm perfectly fine with this, if she wants to go then let her. All birds gotta leave the nest sometimes, right? Though I will miss you sis…"
Wow. Thats probably the most words that ever came out of Michael's mouth! He's usually so quiet, and barely says anything.
"I'll miss you as well." My sister said, as she hugged me and I hugged her back.
"I'll miss you too. All of you!" Darn, I just remembered that my dad didn't get to say anything. Here I am acting like I'm gonna head out the door already, and I didn't even ask of HIS approval yet! What is wrong with me?
I turned to him and asked, "Soooooo…can I go?"
He was silent for a moment, but then he finally spoke. "Well your no longer a filly anymore, plus your magic outstanding, not to mention that your old enough to live on your own so my answer is….yes. You can go.
All of my excitement just bursted out of me, as I ran up to my dad and hugged him like I never did before! "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!"
He chuckled and said, "Hey, just remember that no matter how big you get, you'll always be our little girl."
After I packed my things, said my goodbyes, gave everyone goodbye hugs, and told them that I would write and visit them whenever I could I was off to go to Ponyville.
"Well, here goes everything!"

Chapter 2: My Trolling Friend, Margaret
When I got to the train station, the ride was uneventful, and I managed to make it to Ponyville with zero problems. Ponyville looked like a nice little town, and the best thing that it had was Sugarcube Corner. I couldn't wait to go there and buy as many cookies as I wanted, but now was not the time for that, now was the time for getting me a house!
As I was looking around Ponyville, I spotted a very familiar looking pony walking casually by herself. "Wait!" I said, as I stopped myself. "Is that who I think it is?" It couldn't be, no! It HAS to be-
"Margaret?"
I walked over to the blue green unicorn mare and asked, "Margaret, is that you?"
She turned around, and when she saw me she looked like she was about to scream in delight. "Oh. My. FREAKING. Gosh! Angel Star, is that you?" I was right, it WAS Margaret…actually I probably should of known that, seeing as she's the only pony I know with a troll face for a cutie mark.
I gasped, and said, "Margaret, it is you! How have you been?"
"Doing great!" She exclaimed, as she jumped in the air. "You?"
"Oh, I'm planning on moving here."
Soon as I said that her huge smile faded away very quickly. She then kept staring at me like I told her I committed a murder or something awful like that. Starting to get uncomfortable with the look she gave I asked, "Uh, Margaret? What's the matter? Your starting to scare me."
She then said, "D-Did you happen to meet a pink Earth pony mare by the name of Pinkie Pie?"
"Uh, no. Why?"
She breathed a sigh of relief and said, "OH THANK GOODNESS!!! Because with you, I wanna do it!"
Confused, I said, "Margaret, what are you talk-"
Before I could finish she quickly told me to not move into any houses yet, and to avoid Sugarcube Corner at all costs then ran in the opposite direction. "Um, ok? What just happened?"
Listening to my friend's advise, I avoided buying a house. I don't know what she was planning, but whatever it was it had to be important. Then again, this could be just another one of her pranks…
For as long as I can remember she's always been good at pulling pranks, and trolling others. I REALLY hope that this isn't a prank of hers.
As I was walking, I saw Margaret from far away talking with a pink Earth pony mare, which I assume was Pinkie Pie.
What the heck are they up to? I thought, as I started getting closer. I then hid behind a bush to try and see what they were planning. Before Margaret said anything, however, Pinkie Pie said something about her Pinkie sense tingling and that somepony was eavesdropping on them. Then they both got out of there quickly.
What in the world just happened? Was all I could think of at the time. I got out of the bush I was hiding in, and stared in the direction they left.
Alright, Margaret's definitely planning something. And I'm gonna find out what it is!
I followed the two everywhere, but whenever I got just a little too close to them, Pinkie Pie's Pinkie sense would tell them to get out of there. I spotted them in town and tried hiding in a trash can, guess what? Same thing happened! I spotted them a library and tried putting an invisibility spell on me, but you know what? Same thing happened! I spotted them at a park and tried hiding up a tree (don't ask how I got up there), but guess what? Same freaking thing HAPPENED!!! And to top it off, I was in a tree that had BEES in it.
Oh my gosh! This is getting me no where! I have to try and get near them without activating Pinkie's Pinkie sense! But how...
Before I could think of anything, I noticed that I was walking down this path that lead to a cottage. How did I get here? I thought, as I looked at it. There really was no reason for me being here so I walked in the opposite direction.
As I was trying to think of a better way to approach the two mares, I saw them again, only this time they seen me. Pinkie Pie's face was wearing a smile, while Margaret's face was wearing a look of confusion.
I walked over to them and said, "Uh, Margaret? What's g-"
Before I could finish, Margaret stopped me by raising a hoof and said, "Hold that thought for a second, I wanna ask you something. Why were you eavesdropping on us?"
I stared at Margaret dumbfounded, HOW IN CELESTIA'S NAME DOES SHE KNOW I WAS EAVESDROPPING ON HER!!!?? I then managed to calm down and said, "W-What are you talking about Margaret?" I plastered a forced smile on my face as I said that. Hopefully she's buying it.
She then put a smirk on her face and said, "Oh don't play dumb with me Angel! I know it was YOU eavesdropping on us and not somepony else, because you always seem to do that when you REALLY wanna know something."
Nope. She...she didn't buy it. DRAT!!! Her knowing me so well is a blessing and a curse sometimes! I was starting to lose my composure as I said, "I uh, well you see, um…"
"Yes Angel?"
Thats it. I'm done. "Alright Margaret, you caught me. But what I wanna know is how did you know it was me?"
"Well, Pinkie Pie here kept telling me that somepony was listening in on our conversation, and plus when we were in the park, I saw you falling out of a tree, then you running and screaming because a bunch of bees were chasing you."
"Oh…you saw that?" I said as I looked down at the ground.
"Oh! Not to mention that we also saw you jumping in the lake to try and get the bees to stop chasing you! Oh! Oh! AND we also saw you getting out of the lake, but the bees were still there so you got out and kept on running, and running, and running, and running, and-"
"And running. We get it Pinkie." Margaret said, as she was holding a hoof up to stop Pinkie's rant.
"So, are you mad at me?"
"Not in the slightest, and even if I was I think you suffered enough from those bees." She said, wearing that smirk again.
"But anyways, the reason I've been talking to Pinkie Pie is because we have a very special surprise to show you!"
I raised an eyebrow and said, "Surprise? What surprise?"
She smiled and said, "Just follow us!" She then motioned for me to follow her.
I gave her a skeptical look and said, "Hold on! This isn't one of your pranks, is it?"
"Nope! Just come on!"
Still wearing my skeptical look, I decided that if it was a prank I'd get her back later, and then I followed them.

I walked with Margaret and Pinkie Pie for what felt like hours. I was just too busy thinking about what they were going to show me. I swear, if this is a prank I'm going to get back at them SO hard!
We kept walking, and I noticed that we were already outside of Ponyville going towards where the forest is. Oh gosh! Where the heck are they leading me!? I thought, as I was walking with a nervous look on my face. Finally deciding to ask where the HECK we were going, I asked, "Uh, Margaret? Pinkie? Where are you taking me?"
Pinkie responded, "Oh silly! We can't tell you, it's a surprise! It wouldn't be a surprise if we told you."
Then Margaret turned to me and said, "Yeah! Plus, don't worry. I know what your thinking, and I Pinkie promise you that this isn't a prank."
I raised an eyebrow and said, "Margaret? What the hay is a Pinkie promise?"
It was Pinkie's turn to talk as she said, "OH!!! A Pinkie promise is a promise that you can never ever, absolutely NEVER break! If you break it, you'll lose your friend's trust FOREVERRRRRR!!!!
"Oh…um, ok." Was all I could say, because I was at a loss for words when she came centimeters away from my face. I mean jeez! Has she ever heard of personal space?…..Guess not.
We kept walking, and came across a familiar looking cottage that I seen earlier that day. As we were walking past it, I thought, I wonder who lives in there. It's a nice place, and there seems to be lots of animals that like it around there.
Pinkie Pie noticed me looking at the cottage and said, "If your wondering who lives there, thats where my friend Fluttershy lives. She's usually very shy, and lives with a ton of animals. But don't worry about that, we'll come back to that later!"
"And why would-" Before I could finish, Margaret stopped us and looked towards me.
"Alright Angel. What you are about to see will blow your mind, and help you realize just how awesome of a friend I can be. Behold…" She pulled back some shrubbery that was in the way, and what I saw…well, she was right. My mind was blown…
"A house?" I said, as I stared in awe. The house itself had a simple design, but I still liked it either way. It was a
two-story house that was painted white, and had a dark brown trim. The door was a light brown color, and had a peeky hole so I could see who's outside. The front of the house was decorated with white lilies, and yellow daisy flowers. It was a sight that surely surprised me.
"Yup! And guess what? It's all yours!" Margaret said, with a smile on her face.
"Whoa! What? Really?! Wow, thanks Margaret!" Oh my gosh! My own house! This is just too good to be true!-
Wait a second…I know my friend better than anyone else. Knowing her, she always puts catches on the generous things she does for me.
"Hold on Margaret." I said, as I turned to look at her.
"What? What's wrong? Don't you like it?"
"I do, it's just…whats the catch?"
"Catch?" She said, as she raised an eyebrow at me.
"Yes. Knowing you, you always put catches on the stuff you give me. Like that one time you gave me a jar of cookies, the catch was that you get almost all of them, and that I was left with almost none. Or when you gave me a book that contained a lot of awesome spells, the catch was that I only got to learn one spell from that entire book. Do you see what I'm talking about?"
She looked at me nervously and said, "I, well…you see….um…" Then she finally gave up. "Alright, you caught me. There is a catch to this."
I knew it! "Ok, what is it?"
"Well, the catch is since I got the house with my money, and set up everything…the catch is that I'm moving in with you."
"What?" I wasn't sure if I heard that right.
"I'm moving in with you." She repeated, giving me a nervous smile.
At that point, all the questions came out. "WHAT!!!?? Why? What about your old house? And plus I'll ask again, WHY???!!"
She said, "Whoa! Calm down! First off, I wanted to move in with you because your my friend, and I figured you could get lonely all the way out here. Second, I sold my old house to get you this new house. Another reason why I want to move in with you since I have no where else to go. Finally, I wanted to be closer to the Everfree Forest, because of all the Poison Joke that it has!"
Confused, I asked, "Poison Joke? Why would you want Poison Joke?"
She answers, "Because that stuff makes REALLY good prank material! Pinkie told me that her and her friends touched it accidentally one time, and they all had different problems!"
"Yeah! That stuff turned my tongue really fat so I couldn't talk. It was not fun!" Pinkie Pie said.
There was one part I still couldn't believe though, and that was what Margaret said on HOW she got the house she's giving me.
"Well, ok. And Margaret? There's something that I can't get over, it's something that you said."
"What is it?" She asked.
"It's that you sold your own home just to get me this one? Margaret, you didn't have to do that." I said, giving her a sympathetic look.
She looked at the ground and said, "Well, I wanted to. You are my friend after all!
I smiled. "Thanks."
"No problem!" She said. "Now why don't we show you inside?" She said, as we headed towards the house.
"Sure!"
We walked inside the house, and it was surprisingly dark inside. "Why are all the lights turned off?" I asked lighting my horn and trying to find the light switch.
"Not sure. Try looking for the light switch." Said Margaret who was lighting up her horn.
I managed to find the light switch and gave them a 'found it!' and when I turned it on, I was greeted with…
"SURPRISE!!!"
I literally jumped so high that my head hit the ceiling, and my horn got stuck. "Uh, guys? A little help…"
Margaret levitated me down, and I asked, "What the hay is all this?"
Pinkie Pie bursted with excitement in front of me and said, "It's your 'Welcome To Ponyville Party!'
Impressed, I said, "Wow! Thanks Pinkie."
She giggled, and said, "Your welcome!" Then she went off to go mingle with the guests.
"Pinkie Pie did one heck of a job with this party! Practically almost all of Ponyville is in here!" I said, looking at all the guests.
"I know right? Thats Pinkie Pie for ya!" Said Margaret.
My eyes wandered all around when I noticed something on a nearby table. I spotted something so awesome, so good that I couldn't resist it no matter what. My eyes widened at the sight, and my mouth started watering. It was the most beautiful sight ever…
It was CAKE!!!
"M-Margaret? Is that what I think it is?" I asked her, while I felt my legs shaking a little from pure excitement.
"Yup! Why? Do you wanna try some?" She asked me.
"DO I!!!!"
After the party died down, and it was practically only Margaret, Pinkie, and I left, I turned to them with a wide grin on my face and said, "THAT WAS THE BEST PARTY EVER!!!!"
"Glad you liked it!" Said Pinkie.
"Man! I still can't get over how many pieces of cake you had." Said Margaret in awe.
"Yeah, well when it comes to cake I'm known for eating a LOT of it!"
"But you know, were not done yet." Said Margaret, heading towards the door.
"There's more?!" I exclaimed.
"Yup! We still haven't shown you your neighbor yet."
"Oh yeah. Does she happen to be the one Pinkie was talking about?"
"Yup! Come on lets go meet her. You wanna come Pinkie?"
"Of coarse I do!" She exclaimed.
So we headed out the door to go meet Fluttershy.
We managed to get to the cozy looking cottage, and walked up to Fluttershy's door.
"Hey Fluttershy! You home? I wanna show you something!" Said Pinkie, as she knocked on the door.
"Hold on Pinkie, I'll be right there." Said a voice from inside, who I assume was Fluttershy's. Then again, who ELSE would it be?
The door opened up revealing a pink maned, yellow pegasus mare with butterflies for a cutie mark. She was surprised to see Margaret and me standing alongside Pinkie Pie.
Wanting to be polite I said, "Hey there! You must be Fluttershy! Pinkie Pie told me all about you." I wore a welcoming smile on my face.
Fluttershy seemed nervous around us and asked in a soft voice, "Pinkie Pie? Are they what you wanted to show me?"
"Yupperoony! Meet your new neighbors!"
"Neighbors?"
"Yuppity yup, yup! They live just beyond that path filled with shrubbery!" Pinkie said pointing to where our house was. "I just threw one of them a 'Welcome To Ponyville Party!'
"Thats nice…" She finally gathered up enough courage to speak to us and asked, "So w-what are your names?"
Margaret was the first to talk. "I'm Margaret. I used to live within Ponyville, but I had to sell my house in order to get my friend here her house. Since I have no where to go, we're housemates now. Get it? It's like roommates, but I instead put house instead of room!"
"I think she gets it Margaret." I said giving her an annoyed look. "Anyways, my name's Angel Star but you can just call me Angel."
"Oh! I have a pet bunny named Angel." She said as her face was lighting up.
"Wait, you have a pet rabbit? I LOVE rabbits! And practically any animal that ever exists." I said with a huge smile on my face. And yes, I'm a huge animal lover. Huh. Is that why Margaret got a house way out here? So I could be closer to this wonderful pegasus pony who loves animals just as much as I do?…...Nah, it had to be the Poison Joke thing. Well, at least it's a win-win situation. Margaret gets her pranking tool, and I get to be around all these animals!
"You love animals too? Oh thats so wonderful! Maybe you could come and help me feed them sometime." She said giving me a pleasant smile.
"Sure! I'll be happy to help, and maybe I'll get to see your pet rabbit Angel."
"Well, it was nice meeting you two. Take care!" Fluttershy said, as she was smiling sweetly at us.
"It was nice meeting you too! Bye Fluttershy!" Margaret said, as we all waved bye to each other.
Well this day was certainly one of the weirdest, most awesome, and most pleasant days I have ever experienced. Even though I would like to stay up some more, it was getting late so it was time to head home.
Pinkie Pie already went home after helping us clean everything up. I was so exhausted, that I literally just wanted to fall down on the floor and take a nap.
We headed upstairs and after getting ready for bed, we each got into our bedroom and got into our beds.
Once we were settled in, I was about ready to go into dreamland when Margaret said, "Hey Angel, you still awake?"
"No." I joked.
Margaret chuckled a bit and said, "I really liked spending time with you today. Selling my house was all worth it in the end wasn't it?"
"Yes, yes it was." I said, looking up at the ceiling.
"Thanks for everything Margaret, and sorry that I assumed this was a prank at first."
"Don't worry about it! It's all in the past now." She replied.
"Well goodnight Angel. See ya in the morning."
"Goodnight Margaret." I then shut my eyes and got whisked away into dreamland.
