A Third Hoof

"Dinky! Are you excited for school today?" said Derpy
"Yeah mommy, I guess!" Dinky said to her Mother.

It was Dinky's first day of school today, and she was excited to finally make new friends.

I was SO excited for school! I hoped everypony would be nice to me! Daddy said that Miss Cherilee was really nice! When I got to school, the first thing I saw was an orange pegasus filly with pink hair, on a scooter. She was so awesome! She was doing flips and everything! When I walked into the schoolhouse, I met the teacher and she was really nice! By the time school ended that day, three fillies were already like best friends. They call themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders. One of them was the girl on the scooter. Scootaloo, the girl on the scooter, should even be crusading! Her talent should be riding a scooter!

There was this one girl, named Silver Spoon, and she was really pretty. I walked up to her and said,

"Hi! Im Dinky."
"Oh Hi, Im Silver Spoon!"

For the next month, we played together and we were becoming really close friends. We both admired CMC. But then, this filly named Diamond Tiara came to our school. She pulled Diamond Tiara away from me, and made her hang out with her instead. One day after school, I went up to Silver Spoon.

"Hey Silver, wanna come to my house tomorrow?"
"I don't think Im supposed to be talking to you..."
"Huh!? Arent we best friends?"
"Im Diamond Tiaras best friend now, Dinky."
"We can ALL be best friends, right?"
"Well I could-"

Then Diamond Tiara came from behind Silver Spoon.

"Umm, What are you doing talking to this DERP?"
"Oh, nothing, Diamond."
"Hey, why can't I be PFFs with you guys?"

Diamond Tiara rolled her eyes.

"First of all, you're a blank flank. Second, your a clumsy derp just like your mom!" Diamond Tiara laughed and started to walk away.

Then Silver Spoon laughed and turned away. I felt like crying and ran home.

"Dinky whats wrong?" said my mom.
"My best friend hates me! All because Im a Derp like you!"

Then I ran up to my room. Soon, my mom came in.

"Hey muffin,"

I just had my face in my pillow.

"I wanna tell ya a story. When me and your dad first started dating, I didn't feel good about myself because I thought I was useless and dumb. But you are soo smart, and soo pretty! Your dad knocked some sense into me, and now Im proud to have my silly eyes."
"Mommy, did ponies make fun of you when you were a filly?"
"...Yes. They did. But you just have to ignore 'em 'kay?"
"OK."

The next day at school, I didn't let Diamond Tiara bully me anymore. I was just upset about Silver Spoon. That day I hung out with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They're so nice! I got to try and find my cutie mark with them, and it was soooo fun! Sweetie Belle is really good at singing actually. We tried to get cutie marks in art, but we ended up getting paint all over the new kid. I think his name was Rocket Fire.
