Are you excited for school today?" said Derpy "Yeah mommy, I guess!" Dinky said to her Mother. It was Dinky's first day of school today, and she was excited to finally make new friends. Dinky I was SO excited for school! I hoped everypony would be nice to me! Daddy said that Miss Cherilee was really nice! When I got to school, the first thing I saw was an orange pegasus filly with pink hair, on a scooter. She was so awesome! She was doing flips and everything! When I walked into the schoolhouse, I met the teacher and she was really nice! By the time school ended that day, three fillies were already like best friends. They call themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders. One of them was the girl on the scooter. Scootaloo, the girl on the scooter, should even be crusading! Her talent should be riding a scooter! There was this one girl, named Silver Spoon, and she was really pretty. I walked up to her and said, "Hi! Im Dinky." "Oh Hi, Im Silver Spoon!" For the next month, we played together and we were becoming really close friends. We both admired CMC. But then, this filly named Diamond Tiara came to our school. She pulled Diamond Tiara away from me, and made her hang out with her instead. One day after school, I went up to Silver Spoon. "Hey Silver, wanna come to my house tomorrow?" "I don't think Im supposed to be talking to you..." "Huh!? Arent we best friends?" "Im Diamond Tiaras best friend now, Dinky." "We can ALL be best friends, right?" "Well I could-" Then Diamond Tiara came from behind Silver Spoon. "Umm, What are you doing talking to this DERP?" "Oh, nothing, Diamond." "Hey, why can't I be PFFs with you guys?" Diamond Tiara rolled her eyes. "First of all, you're a blank flank. Second, your a clumsy derp just like your mom!" Diamond Tiara laughed and started to walk away. Then Silver Spoon laughed and turned away. I felt like crying and ran home. "Dinky whats wrong?" said my mom. "My best friend hates me! All because Im a Derp like you!" Then I ran up to my room. Soon, my mom came in. "Hey muffin," I just had my face in my pillow. "I wanna tell ya a story. When me and your dad first started dating, I didn't feel good about myself because I thought I was useless and dumb. But you are soo smart, and soo pretty! Your dad knocked some sense into me, and now Im proud to have my silly eyes." "Mommy, did ponies make fun of you when you were a filly?" "...Yes. They did. But you just have to ignore 'em 'kay?" "OK." The next day at school, I didn't let Diamond Tiara bully me anymore. I was just upset about Silver Spoon. That day I hung out with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They're so nice! I got to try and find my cutie mark with them, and it was soooo fun! Sweetie Belle is really good at singing actually. We tried to get cutie marks in art, but we ended up getting paint all over the new kid. I think his name was Rocket Fire. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: And the Rocket Fired //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: And the Rocket Fired After that, I mostly tried to hang out with CMC, but I don't think they'll ever like me as much as they like each other. So I went to find a new friend. A best friend. I don't know why, but I went to Rocket Fire. "Hi Im Dinky!" I said. "Oh hey, Im Rocket." "Yea, I know. I got paint on you yesterday." "Rigghhht." "SO, wanna be best friends?" I said randomly. "Uh, sure." he said after thinking for a moment. So for the rest of the day, we hung out. After a while, we really were best friends. But then, Diamond tiara saw that we were close, and she didn't like that. She obviously had a crush on him. One day, she came up to us and started taking to Rocket. "Hi, Rocket. Why do you even like Dinky, when Im around?" and then she batted her eyelashes like a princess. "I dunno. But she's my friend, and your not." "Oh! Hun, when we DATE, you can still be her friend!" she said like she was in her own little world. "We can't date." he said firmly to Diamond Tiara. "And, WHY NOT?" she asked demandingly. "Because, this." And at that moment, he pulled me over and kissed me. Daddy said when I told my parents. "Dinky, you are WAY too young to be kissing boys! Me and your mother were already grown-ups when we started dating." "But Dad! I like him!" "I want to meet this boy." "DAD!" "Whooves?" my mom said. "Derpy, if she's going to be off and.. kissing.. boys and whatever kids do these days, I at least want to meet him." My mom looked at me and nodded. "URGH!" I scowled and went up to my room. The next day at school, I went up to him. "Hey." he said, as if nothing happened. "Ok, my dad wants to meet you." Then he looked a bit out of his comfort zone. "I-Im not sure thats such a good idea..." "Please!?" ".....O..kayy" "Yay!" and I hugged him. He hugged me back. Then, trouble walked up to us. "Hey, DERP. Watchya doing this time? Tripping on him with your DERPY hooves like your mom? haha." and she laughed with Silver Spoon. "Hey, don't talk to my girlfriend like that, okay? Okay." Girlfriend? Wow. I was shocked, but I found a smile on my face. Diamond Tiara then sashayed away, with Silver following right behind her. "Girlfriend?" I asked him. "If you want." "Yes," I said "But I dunno about the kissing." "That one was just for Diamond Tiara," he said. "But I liked it." "Me too."
