Fallen

Kronos drifted through the void staring up at the empty black that reflected his state of mind reaching out he extended a finger tapping the air sending out an echo like he just flicked a crystal glass. Sighing he turned over and looked below him to see a inky like substance below him turning slowly and pulsating every so often turning he righted himself in a 'standing' position turning he looked to see Lumina and the princess of the night behind him "This is an interesting dream-"

"Its not a dream it my state of mind." Kronos said sharply looking back down at the ink glaring at it in anger "What this is...........well the best thing I could tell you is my state of mind."

"What do you mean your state of mind ?" the princess asked cocking her head to the side and about to take a step foreward till Lumina moved her arm out stopping her still glaring at the ink "Its how you view yourself and the world around you for me its a black and that substance is well..........an all consuming entity."

"You mean your magic Kronos ?" Lumina asked walking foreward stopping when Kronos looked at her tears at the edge of his eyes "WHY WHY DO I HAVE THIS CURSED MAGIC I MEAN ITS JUST DESTRUCTION AND DEATH AND HATE WHILE EVERYONE ELSE GETS LOVED AND HELD CLOSE I GET PUSHED AWAY AND HURT !!" the world around them shook and the ink vibrated and began to spike up at them violently Lumina looked at Kronos and said "But that's not true is it ?"

"..........Your right only two people have showed me compassion Crystal and Nocturna ." Kronos said sinking down till he was lying down staring at the sky "You know she once told me that I have a purpose and that I would never be alone again."

"That was the day she died."

"That was the day she died." Kronos repeated in a monotone fashion tears welling up sitting up he asked "So what are you going to do with me ?"

"You will be enrolled into the Celestial Academy."

"Oh yeah that'll be swell hey guys its a fallen lets get him ! and you do realize that I need certain energies to use my magic."

"Yes I know Kronos that's why I have this." Lumina said holding out her hand a silver black gem appeared floating above her palm pulsing "This gym has the life force of the immortal beast Cerberus and you'll use it for you needs."

"W-where did you get this ?" Kronos asked reaching for it smiling Lumina used her magic to turn it into a necklace the gym turning into a cross with chains wrapping around the arms and teleporting around his neck "It appeared suddenly in my office after i brought you to this academy and when you wake up there is something you need to read now i will leave you."

"WAIT PLEASE DONT LEAVE !"

"Don't worry my nephew i would never leave you but you must wake up first after all this is your mind." Lumina said smiling she walked over to him and hugged him tightly wrapping him in a warm embrace.

(Lumina's office)

Twilight, Lyra and Sunset all stood in a row waiting for Lumina and Luna to open their eyes to explain what Kronos is and his type of magic Twilight and Lyra wanted to give him a piece of their minds for lying to them but wanted to hear why he did before they tore him a new one. Opening their eyes Lumina let out a small yawn stretching slightly looking over the three students she said "He might be waking up soon so what would you like to know ?"

"Well whats a fallen ?" Lyra asked earning a slap from Twilight causing her to yelp with surprise "Hey what was that for !?!"

"Because this is why your failing a fallen is a mage who can only use their magic by absorbing the life force of things around them our their own."

"So I really doubt Kronos would do that I mean if he wanted to wouldn't we be in the infirmary or morgue ?" Lyra said crossing her arms looking at her friend coughing Sunset brought the attention to the room over to her "I think the reason he lied is because of his magic most mages hat his kind and treat-"

"Treat them like monsters that need to be put down instead treated like a normal person Kronos went through that as a child." Lumina said leaning foreward resting her chin on her hands she continued "I have invited him to this academy and given him a gift my sister meant to give him long ago...............and your right Lyra he is a good man I have looked for him through many different records and he's popped up many different times in towns that once had high criminal activity and after he leaves the criminal activity is at an all time low he has been trying to protect people but once they find out about his power he is chased out of town."

"T-t-that's aweful !" Lyra said all three students had shocked looks on their faces smiling Lumina said "Glad to hear it since this school is co-ed AND you girls have a nice big house he will be rooming with you and NO BUTS I think this will be good for all of you in the long run...........oh and you can come out now."

Turning Lumina looked to the book shelf following her gaze the girls were shocked to see a breezie come out from behind a book she wore a long dress that was made out of flower petals she had long golden hair that went to her knees her eyes were a dark emerald green smiling sheepishly she said "H-h-hi mother."

"MOTHER !?!?" everyone except Luna who was reading over the reports on Kronos exclaimed laughing Lumina said "Yes I created the breezies and they have referred to me as their collective 'mother'.....now come over here little one I have many questions for you and you three please tell Kronos to go to the arena plus show him the way he needs to test in."

"B-b-but your majesty what about-"

"His mothers gift will help with that problem and bring him this." Lumina said holding out a pristine white envelope with a black wax seal that had and axe and sword crossed over the stars "Its for Kronos DO NOT OPEN IT !" Lumina said putting emphasis on the last part taking the letter Lyra held it like it was a live grenade.

(Infirmary)

Waking up Kronos looked around the room he was alone sighing he sat up feeling a weight around his neck he looked down to see the silver black cross made out of the gem he saw his aunt holding. Feeling it on his skin it didn't feel cold it felt warm like when his mother used to rock him to sleep closing his eyes he felt the warmth roll over him when he felt the stone pulse looking down he saw it turn black and silver rapidly before going back to the ocean like look before with the silver and black moving around each other. hearing footsteps Kronos stiffened and got himself for anything looking in the general direction his saw Twilight, Lyra and another girl walking into the infirmary looking down his said "So what are you doing here ?"

"Well dummy I came here to see if your okay and give you this !" Lyra said smiling looking up he saw that she was holding out a letter "Lumina told us that its from your mother." reaching out slowly Kronos took it gently out of Lyras grip whispering thanks to her opening it he began to read

Dear Kronos,

I'm sorry that I had to leave you eight years ago but I felt a disturbance in the balance of the world i'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you over the years i'm sorry that you had to grow up all these years with no one on your side but know this I will always be with you.. Now the gift im sure your aunt gave to you is a soul gem that I place Cerberus inside i hoped to give it to you so we could start training your magic now the gem can only be used for a certain amount of time and will merge with your soul over time and when that day comes you won't need to use yours or anyone else's life force to use your magic. Now i know you'll hate me for this but i need you to move on and make friends form a herd and most of all eat your greens i wish to see a handsome young man when the time comes for us to see eachother again and finally i want you to work on getting stronger so you can prove that your worth more than anything on this planet i love you son and i leave you to your own devices rise above the ashes of your path and move to the future you wish to achieve i believe you can do this.

Staring at the letter Kronos didn't know what to feel so instead he folded up the letter place it into the envelope and using his magic he turned it into a pendant of his mothers crest an axe and sword crossed over a field of stars. Turning he looked at the group around him looking each of them over he sighed the newest girls stood a little taller than Twilight she had dark brown skin and long red hair with gold streaks her eyes were a light teal she had on the schools uniform but instead of the dress shoes that Twilight and Lyra wore she had on boots coughing slightly she held out her hand shakily "Hi my names Sunset Shimmer." smiling Kronos said "Don't worry Ms. Shimmer i won't hurt you unless your a criminal." reaching out he gripped her hand lightly and let out a dark purple glow "So are you a criminal Ms. Shimmer ?"

"W-w-wat n-n-n-no !" Sunset said fear gripping her words and making her shake *SLAP* Kronos's head was bent down Lyra behind him her hand held up after slapping him upside the head "Knock it off."

"Yes boss." Kronos said letting go of her hand still smiling he let his aura die and looked around "Alright i feel like you ladies need something so what is it you needed ?"
