Nursing Back to Health
Chapter 2: Your face!
Previous ChapterLet me explain before I continue, I consider verbal sparing as a sport of which I am great at... or so I thought.
"Well..." The white nurse began to tap her chin, her bright blue eyes looking into the empty space that was the top right corner of the room we were in as she began to fabricate an insult out of thin air, or slightly stuffy air, if you want me to go into detail.
"Well? I ain't got all day!" To my displeasure, she smirked, but turn her head to hide her face from my untrustworthy eyes, apparently.
"Well... your leg is broken" Her smile widened a bit at her 'cleverness'.
"Well, not at broken as your face is gonna be when I'm done beating you down to the ground with insults!" I stand corrected, I am great at this! "I win!" I said, closing my eyes at the relaxing feeling of what I had just accomplished. But I can never be lucky can I.
She stared at the ground, and started tracing a circle only she could see, before sticking out her bottom lip, and looking up every so slightly while her ears slowly splayed back, to see me narrow my eyes at her.
"Don't you dare..." I warned, even though I could see light tugging at the edges of her lip, she was still able to cover her face in time to hide her devilish smirk. Even after knowing she wasn't sad, the cuteness began to overtake my fighting will to not pay attention to her.
"B-but" She said, in the saddest tone she could muster
"Okay, maybe my leg would still be a little more broken than your face would be... but you would still get some pretty bad bruising." To my dismay, she just sunk even lower to the ground in an attempt to drain me of all free will I could have had over with situation. "Uhg! Fine! You win, happy!?"
She perked her eyes up, and almost seemed to jump up in the air. It had been a while, and I had been teaching her how to get anything out of any guy, but she always seemed to be so good at it, it worked on me, ME! Imagine if she used to forbidden power on anypony else! It could stop a mans heart due to heart failure, or, blindness.
"Uhg... when am I getting out of this prison cell anyway?" I began to try math in my head, but gave up, cause' I'ma rebel!
At first she look downcast, and the real kind of downcast. At first I thought I had said something that made her think I didn't like her, but before I could think more on the subject she answered. "Some time tomorrow... I think."
It wasn't hard to figure out she didn't want me to leave, I could read her like a filly's book. "Don't worry, i'll break something else just for you! I still don't see why my brother made me stay her for a whole week... or however long it's been, I don't pay attention much.
She blushed a light pink, before cutely chuckling, she began to trace that invisible circle again, biting her lower lip in an attempt to fabricate a verbal hammer to break the awkward moment, well it was awkward for her.
"Breaking a bone not good enough? I think I still have some acid left over fro-" She cut me off like the big mare she was.
"Wha- no! Erm.." She only chuckled again, seeming to shrink underneath my amused gaze, as her blush began to intensify the longer the silents carried on.
Like the gentlecolt I was, I decided to unwilling give her an reason to leave, by expressing my tiredness in the form of a loud, overly dramatic yawn. I noticed her smile, as I put on a show of shoving my face into the pillow, and purred in delight at the cold spot on the other side of said pillow.
"Oh, uhm, I best be going" I smiles at her, and gave a slight nod, she smiled softly at me before quietly leaving my hospital room, and closing the white door behind her. Looking at the clock that I hated with all my heart, I decided that if I was going to sleep, 11:00 PM was the time to do it, so I closed my eyes, before frowning, and tuning my pillow over to the colder side, but, while trying to get my orange mane out of the way of the pillow, I managed to him myself in the forehead, I didn't even try to know how I did, but I was now fully awake due to the surge in pain, and it took a full thirty minutes to fall into a surprisingly dreamless sleep.
