Night's Day

After a great war between the 3 villains, I defeated them alone. Tia protected me so i can recharge a blast powerful enough to banish the villains to the far marshes. But, when Tia protected me, she got hit by the 3 blasts combined. A pony witness told me that but, deep in my heart, i still have hatred, jealousy and anger towards my dear sister, not caring for her. I saw her get killed, I saw her get blasted, I saw her get stabbed by a horn. I don't care, I don't love her, She banished me, She doesn't understand.

I need time to think, but i don't have time. The whole kingdom is held in a tight grasp of grief  for her death, and I'm the one pony supposed to tell a speech to them to calm them down. I'm in my room, writing in my scrolls like usual, passing the time. The sound of a knock at my door can be heard, then a voice saying, "Your Highness, It's time". I rolled up the scroll and put it and the feather down, heading for my door. It is indeed a sad day in Equestria for all ponies, But not for me. At least that's what i thought...

I went out my door, the 2 guards escorted me to the field, her coffin next to the podium, All the ponies crying hard for the loss of their former ruler. I went up the podium, testing the microphone to see if it works. After i made sure, i started my speech...

"My dear subjects, Today is a gloomy day indeed. For we all have lost our ruler, Princess Celestia. After all the things she did for this land, she deserves to be respected, loved and known. Don't you fret or grow gloom for our loss, don't make it  hard for you to speak or walk. From now and on, I will be your new princess who rules over these lands. I will repeat her good deeds and make them better, the land will prosper more with my reign. Remember, my little ponies. She will always be with us if we remember her and cherish our times we had with her. That is all...", Most of the words i said were lies, i didn't love her at all. We dug a hole on the cemetery, a special spot for the royals. 4 unicorn guards lifted the coffin with their magic, using mine to grab her crown and place it in a special spot above the coffin. After that, they lowered the coffin, putting it gently on the ground, releasing their magic and covering the hole, the stone already in place. After that, the guards and ponies gave their last sign of respect to her, clearing out after that. "Your highness, its time to leave" A Pegasi guard said to me.

I shook my head in disagreement and said "No, no. You all go back to the palace ahead. I need some time alone, for a small walk". I set the sun and raised the moon,  i thought id go for a stroll and think about everything.

A glance of her face and doings always appear in my mind, i can't get her off my mind. Suddenly i remembered her saying this to me before we went to war, "Luna, This might get scary and gore. But don't worry, I'll always be there for you and love you on and on, even when im dead". It kept going on in my mind, making me feel guilty for letting her die, for hating her, for ignoring her, for being angry at her. I stopped, a blank expression on my face, guilty and surprised for what i have done..

"Tia...Sister....My sweet and kind big sister...What have i done...What have i done?!" I shouted to the skies, tears running down. "Tia, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me dear sister! Tia...Tia! Celestiaaaaaaaaa!!!" I shouted, really sad and gloomy, Im sure that my voice can be heard through the quiet streets of Canterlot. I sat down there, my hooves feeling like they couldn't take my weight anymore, i cried and cried for hours, not coming home to the palace.

A few hours later, i heard the sounds of wings flapping, myself still sobbing, crying the last tears out. "Luna, come on. You need to come home and get some rest to raise the sun" a kind voice said, and a familiar one indeed. I didn't turn around, i kept sobbing there, saying Tia's name with a low voice. That's when a lavender hoof touched my shoulder, a rather pink one following with my other shoulder. Both of the hoof''s owner showed their heads, its Cadence and Twilight, trying to calm me down.

"Please, princess Luna. It's 2 AM, we are worried" Twilight said, a concerned and sad look on her face.

"Oh...al...alright..." I said, still gaining my senses back for crying my eyes out. Both of them helped me get on my hooves, 3 of us flying together back to the palace.

We finally got back to the palace, landing in  front of the gates. 2 guards are outside, on their night shift. Cadence asked the guards to help her and Twilight help me get to my room. I can't feel my legs, not even speaking in my normal voice. I just kept murmuring, thinking what i have done. The 2 guards called 2 other Unicorn guards, them coming in while the other 2 helped Twilight and Cadence to help me walk inside. Celestia's room has been changed to mine, my room now Cadence's and Shining Armor's room and the one last room that was used to be the 2 couple's changed to Twilight's, Twilight's changed to a guest room. Maybe that all happened while i was gone.

We arrived infront of the door, which is now painted dark blue, the sign of a crescent moon in the middle. I feel weak, i barely could keep my eyes open from all the crying. The 2 Pegasi guards standing near my new room helped open the door, Cadence, Twilight and the 2 normal pony guards getting me to sit down on the bed. The 2 guards bowing to us and left, closing the door behind them. My room is lit by the moonlight, followed by a small lit candle on a coffee table next to the bed.

"Luna, it's going to be fine. She's in a better place now..." Cadence said, brushing my mane with her hoof.

"I can't stop thinking of her Cadence, it's all my fault..." I sobbed, looking down with my eyes closed.

"Oh, Princess Luna. Please don't be so sad anymore...", Twilight scooted closer and so did Cadence. I took my hooves, closing my eyes and continue crying. The 2 princesses getting closer and hugging me, trying to calm me down.

"Cadence, Twilight, i don't know what to do...I let my hatred consume me too much" I said.
