(Twilight's POV)
"Please, everypony, calm down! I'm sure we can rebuild, and anyone who's home is destroyed can sleep in a spare room in the castle!"
"Calm down? CALM DOWN? This.... THING appears and destroys our home, and we are meant to do some yoga and read a magazine? It may be easy for you to say - you live in a CASTLE!"
I sighed and walked slowly away from the raging crowds to talk to my friends.
"Girls, have any of you seen anything strange?"
Fluttershy twirled a lock of her mane. "I saw two things fall from the sky... One of them landed in the everfree, then one of them landed in my garden... I still don't know what that one is."
I thought for a second, before asking Fluttershy to show us the creature... it had got to be worth a try, right? Even if it was dangerous, we could destroy it with the elements and never see it again.
As soon as we saw the creature, we gasped... the shape it was in.... the look of it...
Then, all of a sudden, two, blue eyes flicked open.
(Steve's POV)
Everything looked blurry. Six strange creatures were stood over me, each one of them blobs of colour, and everywhere hurt. My leg felt numb - it was quite clearly broken - and I had scrapes and cuts all down my back and my arms. I whimpered helplessly.
"Shhh, it's okay. We won't hurt you."
The voice was clearly female, and felt like it was laced with care and consideration. I groaned again, and felt soft fur against my skin. A kind, loving face came into my vision. It was clearly where the voice came from. I let her stroke my hair and play with my fingers for a while, until one of the other equine things - the blue one - stepped closer. I let out a deep growl and glared at the blur until it stepped backwards.
"It's okay, big guy, she won't hurt you. Can you talk?"
I mumbled and pushed myself so that I was sat up. The blurs were soon proven to be even more equines.
"Y...Yeah...."
Although it wouldn't seem like it, I'm quite shy and quiet myself. I never used to be, but years without sentient contact and only talking to a wolf who lives with me didn't help.
"What's your name?"
"S-Steve..... Where's Moneki?"
The butter-yellow pegasus looked confused. "There was nopony else with you, sorry..."
'Nopony? They must be ponies... strangest ponies I've ever seen...'
"H-He isn't a pony, he's a wolf.... little gray wolf with a red collar...."
"Did he come here like you?"
"Yes!"
Butter (nicknames) bit her lip. "He must of landed in the Everfree Forest... he might not survive...."
"He's tougher than he looks, you know.... but just in case, we'd better go find him..."
I pushed myself (painfully) onto my feet, wrapped up my broken leg, and started planning the rescue mission - the rescue of Moneki!
(Steve's POV)
I was making my way back home from my daily hunting trip. I had gathered enough pork to feed both me and Moneki, my pet wolf, so food was sorted for at least a week. I had ran into a cave half-way through, and managed to gather some gunpowder and a couple of bones for Moneki.
"Hey, boy!"
Moneki raced up to me, pawing at my legs and tugging at my shirt. I winced slightly when his claw scratched a burn I had gotten from a creeper.
"Alright, settle down now. You hungry?"
Moneki whimpered as I gently pushed him off of my legs, but he seemed pretty happy at the smell of fresh pork.
"Still fresh, and soaked in water. The way you like it."
I dropped a couple of slabs of meat into his bowl and watched as he hurriedly gulped it down. I smiled. Moneki was the only thing that reminded me of home - true home, not the wooden shack that I called a house. If my sister was still here, she would of made a joke about me stacking toothpicks to make dollhouses when I was little.
Moneki's howling snapped me out of my trance, and I peered out of the window, only to see a raging storm and a swarm-like horde of mobs coming closer, a hypnotizing look in their eyes. I swear, my hand nearly darted to my sword, but I looked away before it could. I quickly darted around the room, stuffing food, water and anything I may need into my bag. I picked Moneki up and went to run to the nether portal. Moneki whimpered at the sight of the purple swirls.
"I know you hate it in there, but it's either that or die to them!"
Moneki gulped and sprung into the portal. I looked around nervously for a second, before long, black arms grabbed my shoulders and pushed me in.
I looked up in time to see an enderman waving at me, a sinister smile on it's face, just before it's purple eyes melted into the swirls, and it's body was nothing but smoke and shadows.
As soon as I fell out of the portal, I blacked out.
